Hey, just wanna say thanks to Phoenix Reseller for coming out to Player 1 Gaming and spending some time with us we really appreciate all the feedback that we get and we love our customers and hope to see some of you guys soon. Have a super great week guys.
You’re the reason I went back to gaming especially inspired me to buy the switch. I literally started collecting for Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 and ps2.
@@cerberolegal1216 I meant to say he brought me back into the Nintendo scene. Xbox with it backwards compatibility and emulation already had me hooked on gaming but Nintendo was mostly part of my childhood. And now that you can game your childhood classics on Xbox it’s just amazing. But I am collecting the retro games just to display them in my future game room!
The only other collectors edition i can think of with a theme-fitting ball, is the dodgeball for this bully collectors edition. Its super rare to find, hell i never seen any big youtubers ever show it off. Its something i would pay top dollar for as a good centerpiece for my ps2 collection. It has an artbook, a mini locker, that dodgeball, among a couple other small things that make it hard to find complete
Honestly, kudos to the guys running out of a shed! We're running our little 220 sqft shop here in Oregon, and making the small space work was a huge challenge for us. Cool to see others out there making it work! 💪
What makes a good mom and pop store. Be it video games, sports cards, toys, or anything in the collectables market. Is good customer service and everything is priced. Nothing more annoying then having to constantly ask how much something is. Once GameStop goes out of business (it'll eventually happen) all that will be left are the small business game stores.
There used to be a great little shop in Radcliff called Game Krazy. They closed back in 2010-2011 iirc. That was quite awhile back! Anyway an older gentleman and his wife owned the store. They had a lot of rarities and regularly stocked DS imports and such. I got some great deals there back then, most notably Saturn Bomberman for $70! I'm not sure if the couple is around anymore or where they went after closing shop. They'd been opened since the 90s iirc. Wish the shop was still around so you coulda visited them!
@@ajroth419 They were good too. There was another shop on Dixie between Radcliff and Etown but I don't remember their name. Buddy's I think? Got some good deals there but they left some years ago and the building was demolished.
I don’t game no more but I do appreciate me a good video game store just because I like the dopamine I get from seeing the broad selection of retro/ old but good games! Also cleanliness plays in a factor unlike GameStop where shits just scattered most lowkey good video game stores look like friggin hospital rooms everything is organized well it’s a fascinating thing to experience.
Thanks to you and editor Riff for continuing to make new content alot of my other original reseller/collectors have stopped making much new content and it sucks Retro R is also one and CATRP
I never seen a game store that turned a modular home into a whole game store, i really dig it! They even have a good variety, i dont even collect action figures but love that original killer clowns from outer space figures
Just want to say that TF game and trade is my absolute favorite place I've sold many things there. The workers are so kind to me. I also bought many things from them and it's all well with Tham. And actually the one in Elizabeth town is the one I got to the most since it is closer to me than the one in Radcliff Kentucky. So if you want anything for cheap prices check them out. Definitely 12/10
That’s crazy, I live 3 minutes away from TF Games. They have really good deals on consoles, and old gen games like Xbox 360, and PS3 games. There was a game store heading towards Radcliff near the bowling lanes and it got tore down, and now is a pawn shop. They had very good prices for Xbox 360 games. Back when Black ops 2 came out they had it marked down for $20 instead $60 brand new in the game case. It was crazy! But sadly it’s not there anymore.
Number one has to be having a price on games, so many stores you have to ask for price, then they give you a high price and you have to awkwardly say no thanks.
Somerset ky used to have a decent game store in the mall, but ended up dying out. So sad. I remember them having a "age of conan" board game i wanted at the time but couldnt afford it.
Caleb, so excited for you to experience The Last of Us for the first time! I'd give anything to experience that for the first time again. Little tip just in case you didn't know/forgot though, they completely remade the original game for the PS5 and it's called The Last of Us Part I. It's got both highly improved graphics and enhanced gameplay. Not to say that the original and PS4 remaster are the inferior versions, they hold up just fine but I reckon the PS5 remake is the most ideal version to play, especially for a first-timer since it's got so much more accessibility options. Peace, love and positivity, Caleb ✌️ Catch ya on the flip!
There is a small regional chain called play and talk by me that does the member price deal. The 3 stores are interesting 2 are big with alot of plushes and pop figures and such with some games and then the 3rd (closest and favorite to me) is kinda small but has a ton of games compared to the other but little in the way of plush and random things like that.
It’s not switch themed but could you do a vid on the second hand market of toys to life games, it’s a weird but interesting market and its clearly something that’s common in the stores in your area
It’s not profit until it sells - I’d LOVE to see a video talking about how long you sit on inventory??? I’m sure there are things that have never sold even
No one has GameCube stuff And anyone who does asks for the most insane price tags you’ll ever see in your fucking life My second favorite, the Dreamcast is even goddamn worse.
i would never wear a backpack into any of these stores. being profiled is one of the biggest reasons i hate shopping in person and wearing a backpack (especially at a "mom and pop" type store) is a guaranteed way to get watched the entire time you are there
Most stores like that in my area just have a sign that says all bags must be left at front counter. Pretty much just to deter homeless people from shoplifting
Didn’t watch video, but my guess is that some people run on good, honest customer service. Something that may be hard for you and your buds to understand.

This store is awesome! A friend and I came by last Friday and checked it out. Got some good deals too!

Love seeing how some cities have great stores like this and are succeeding.
Except for the part where he didn’t go to any of our good stores.

Shout out Colin and Samir ❤
Meanwhile in Sydney the closest thing to a retro game store is the dodgy pawn shop thats selling a YLOD PS3 for $70
immediately the first store has to get ranked high for cleanliness and tidying up, looks like a perfect game store!!
Love the friendliness from all stores. All 3 of you at Player 1 doing 'on the flip' was a cool finish 👍

I would say having a member pos system is definitely what a top-level game store/business should have.
you should checkout LA video games then, theyre new but they are top-class!
The cat with the bark voice over got me rolling 😂 top tier editing 👌
Same lol
Phoenix Resale is such good channel, ”4.8 stars, 4.8 Stars & 4.8 stars.” Shoutout to editor Riff with that Mario sfx.

They finally made into a small minimall type of store. It's pretty sick. They are expanding on the business now too. For tcg tournament like space.
You should check out Secret Castle Toys and Games in Owensboro KY.
I like watching you thrift video games while working, appreciate all the content
The last video game store reminds me of my mom and pop video game stores that used to be open in my area i loved them
Wouldn't use ebay for price checking. Scalpers over price everything.
I wish we had more genuine game shops here in the UK 😢
Riffs definitely back to editing the videos
