In regards to whom else is doing political rap, I don't "follow" any mainstream artists or anything like that, all or independent. So I'd recommend looking in that route but the people such as Forgiato Blow, Latinos for Trump, Trump Latinos (might be different groups, might not, I see them through Forgiato Blow), Jimmy Levy (independent gospel artist who's been pairing to with independent rappers like Forgiato Blow and such), Bryson Gray and Tyson James but they're more towards the biblical side of everything but they do mention politics, Topher is a United States Air Force Veteran and has but at this time more of promoting the word of God and doing his own thing, TMR (The Marine Rapper), has, he actually back in February I think finished a project where he dropped a brand new music video and or song each and every single day for a full year straight. I'm sure I'm missing others, Adam Calhoun is more towards just doing his thing but he's collaborated with Tom for 2 albums (The Brave and The Brave 2), and he did politics on those but he's doing his own thing, just dropped his first ever country album recently.

The turning point was he had a mental breakdown because he was living the same life. All these other rappers are singing about guns and drugs and hoes. He went to live with his mom for nine months, got sober and decided he didn’t want to perpetuate the life he got sucked into.

Dissed Mac Lethal, shot shots just now without really sending shots. In a way he answered everyone without directly shooting shots.
His mental breakdown in 2016 was the turning point. Once he recovered enough from his break he moved to Cali and him and Nova eventually got in a relationship. They'd been best friends since like 2011 - but it wasn't until much later they realized their feelings for each other. If you listen to like "old number seven" and "way off" those songs were pre-sober and pre-mental breakdown from drug and alcohol addiction Tom - "How the west was won" was during his mental break and when he started getting hooked on the prescription pills. He stopped making music for like a year and then came out with "Hangman" shortly after he and Nova started dating...then months later he came out with "Dear Rappers". The story behind that song is amazing as well. But that's when things changed for Tom.
No it wasn't he had a psychotic break but he recovered and went back to smoking weed and drinking which wasn't healthy because his anxiety was still very much there. He had a scary moment when he thought he had a brain tumor which actually turned out to be a deviated septum. He stopped everything again he realized he cant do this anymore and started his sobriety journey
@@zarinshapurjee9430 homie, I was talking about first time he got sober and what started the change in his music. The reason he got sober was because of the mental breakdown and he thought he was going to die. That was the initial reason he got sober the first time. He just quit cold turkey, but that's when he started the prescription pills trying to figure out how to get his brain right again. He relapsed after moving back to Cali, and then got clean again. I even had a conversation with him about how I felt like his turn in his musical journey actually started hangman not dear rappers, and he agreed with me. The change in his music started before he got completely clean again. But the first moment that started the road to sobriety was the mental breakdown in 2016. That was at the height of his alcohol addiction, and eventually caused a prescription addiction. He didn't quit smoking weed still years later, and recently said it's been a year since he quit cigarettes. All that other stuff contributed to his complete sobriety, but they asked what made him change initially, and that was the mental break in 2016.
Tom's solution is to never give up on your dream, dream more sleep less, work harder than anyone else, if your path is blocked find an alternative route, bend the rules if you have to because The System made the rules to prevent you from winning. #HOG UK

When he made his song "Dear Rappers" he had no electricity. He had an extension cord from his neighbor to keep his fridge running. They filmed with a flashlight with a red lens because they didn't have lights. That song blew up and gave him life.
Tom created his own version of political rap. When he went viral nobody was pushing back like him.

The turning point:? Tom made a call to his mom that she took as being cryptic. She called Tom's best friend, Brandon Hart, who threw Tom's a$$ on a flight back home where he spent 9 months on his mom's couch getting his ish together.
You said you want to know in his next video the plan, the next step. The next step is you. Now. He told you what to do. Emulate his drive and tenacity in whatever you want to accomplish; rap, build a career, save America. Whatever your field, whatever your goal he told you emulate him. Step up.

The song doesn't say what changed him. Basically he had acute anxiety one day after heavily drinking he had a psychotic break and felt like he was dying it really scared him so he stopped taking drugs and alcohol. He was diagnosed with GAD general anxiety disorder which Tom felt was a misdiagnosis. He was put on cyprelex for his anxiety but that made manic so the doctor put him on Seroquel an antipsychotic which also didn't help him. He eventually went on adavan which really helped him. After being on adavan he felt normal so he started smoking weed and resumed drinking alcohol. He got a really bad headache which he thought was a brain tumor. He was so convinced his deviated septum was a brain tumor he became a hyoerchondriac because of it. He realized it wasn't a brain tumor and because of this second health scare he stopped everything for good this time

Loza Alexander, Bryson Gray, Topher, The Marine Rapper, Forgiatto Blow, etc. There's lots of others who get called "MAGA rappers." In the 80's it was rap from the liberal side (Public Enemy) but now it's almost all coming from the right.

I'd like to see Tom continuing to make music, but looking into the future, I can see Tom and Nova making a hit independent film, and then moving into the political forum with his HOG fam behind him pushing this country back into a place we can be proud of again.
