Sabra (prickly pear) & Sabra (native-born Israeli)

Prickly pear which called in our region Sabra, genus Optunia in the cactus family, thrives in regions with various tough conditions all over the world. But even growing in tough conditions, the outside of the fruit demonstrates it, the inside of the fruit is sweet, soft, testy and healthy. We, the Israelis, are growing in a country with tough physical conditions that may have effect on our outside personality, but the inside is soft, sweet and very creative, features that gave our nation the name "Start-up Nation". The name Sabra of a fruit from the cactus family became a National Identity for native-born Israelis. Myself, I am a proud Sabra.
