For those who want to see something little different: search for this vid on RUclips ''Theo Jansen - The Great Pretender' and go to 41:17. Theo Jansen who is a sort of artist-ingeneer & constructor of autonomous robotic sculptures (& some are really big!) shows in a presentation of his work a painting robot he made in 1975. The robot's painting with only one color (as the 1rst Leonardo we just saw, but in black) in a (much) slower but more effective way; and simple too: It paints what it sees.
This was at NVISION in August of 2008 - in San Jose. Tickets were only $10 and you got a free shirt. Next NVISION in 2009 will probably have something just as cool...maybe these guys will be back to top themselves? :)
