- Today I was playing piano at the Airport of Rome when suddenly @RayChenViolinist joined me with his violin 🤯
Ray Chen is actually one of the most famous violinists in the world. His violin is a Stradivarius estimated at 20 million dollars and he is playing all around the world in the best concert halls !
What a blessing for everyone at the airport who was able to hear him live ❤️

You are correct. Ray is one of the very best in the world, and won the Queen Elizabeth Competition. There have been around 20 winners on violin since 1938, and of the 20 about 5 are some of the greatest of all time, and Ray is still quite young.

Nothing like having Ray Chen brighten up an airport lobby with his magical music. He's professional, and his violin makes it even better. I think the violin is worth around $10 Million and up. Stradivarius violins are rare.. and beautiful sounding. I could listen to Ray play all day. but his fingers won't take that. Thank you Emilio for playing Vivaldi's winter and making my day. Ray was the icing on the cake.

What$? One was left in an old museum next to my house when I was a teen. I used to roam freely. When you don't know the value of something... The building was abandoned for a few years after the collector died. I chose a small portrait of John Paul Jones with the quote, “I have not yet begun to fight!” and left the 🎻? Probably worth a fortune? Lots of artwork was left inside when the building was leveled.

Let's have a cheer for Emilio - he is approached by dozens who ask, "Can you play N", and he always says yes. He clearly has an incredible library of music in his mind and his fingers and many years of practice and performance. And Mr. Chen amazes - he plays the airport and supermarket with the same level of passion as The Met or The Royal Albert. This is what people need to reel them in to the delights of classical music. A huge treat every time these two get together. Please keep it coming.

I cut my teeth on classical music and used to practice for hours at a time, so when I watch Ray Chen getting into the pocket I know the amount of time that it takes to reach that stage in his professional life. It's's absolutely mind blowing and you NEVER want to see his performance end.
I love watching these videos. I get to see multiple talented people sharing the love of music. The violinist was incredible and the piano player was mind blowing. I can't wait until the next one.

I’m not a fan of classical music in general but can appreciate small elements when they occasionally surface…this was one such moment highlighting both guys technical excellence…great skills…brilliant performance..
This brought me to tears.
My grandpa was a violinist and my mom played piano and this remembered me as in my childhood they were in the living room playing together. Sadly, my grandpa passed away when I was only 12 and I couldn't enjoy that any longer, and my mom passed in 2010. So, watching this has a very special meaning to me.
Seriously, how many classical musicians have you ever seen turn to the audience to get them clapping along. He is an amazing person.
