suppose u r analysing a complex fabricated structure can they be analyzed on matlab and can we define stiffness of the supports?
most of the software give only options of fixed supports cud u please help us?

Super gemacht, nice in m.file. How to get this stuff in .mdl 's? hearing around SIMULINK is mutch easier to integrate energy into force over all possibilities e.g. angels, speed of forces or environment condition like e-modul of material in your chassis. Have you any recommendations?
    Awaiting your regards
    Thanks

m not clear how dof =6 when initially it was =4??

Initially one element was considered and each element here has two nodes. Also does each node have two degrees of freedom, so dof of each element is 2x2=4. In the end while considering the whole system, we have three nodes in total which again have 2 dof each. So we have 3x2=6 degrees of freedom. Got it?
