Fabulous recipe. Nothing ridiculous about it Hilah! Back at the pizza shop we used to make something similar, but using conventional pizza crust. We would add a scoop of sour cream on top. It sounds crazy but so does a peanut-butter-and-lettuce sandwich, and we all know how amazing that is.

Also, egg allergy - if you want to make killer pancakes, use 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds mixed with 3-4 tablespoons of warm/hot water. It's an amazing egg replacer!

This looks good. Thanks for mentioning the problem with iceberg lettuce, for so many people it is the default when they think of lettuce.
+Cornelius Sneed Yeah, I like iceberg for certain times when I want something crisp and cool and bland. But for an actual salad, Romaine is my favorite.

I'm with Hilah on this one as well. Iceberg was genetically engineered for its crispiness and water-retaining faculties, and is wonderful in applications like this. However, when they were genetically engineering it, the last thing on their minds was actual nutrition. I don't think it is really as bad for you as many people say, I just think it is not very nutritious.

"Stick some stuff on it and call it dinner!" You should have that as a t-shirt. :D My mom has an egg allergy. Chicken eggs she can eat, but she can't eat duck eggs or get the flu shot because they make her break out and swell. So you might want to see if he can eat duck eggs.
Interesting! I wouldn't have thought there would be a difference, but thank you! His pediatrician said there's a blood test we can do for allergies soon so maybe they can check for various eggs.
Cool. I hope it works out and that is his one allergy. I know recently there have been articles on peanut allergies and how the exposing kids to a little of what they are allergic to will reduce the allergy. I have yet to read up on it. Obviously you don't want to do anything without the knowledge and permission of a medical professional though. So hopefully he can grow out of it.
