Recently I got a new small table saw from Proxxon - 27070 - and I decided to make a small table saw sled with a stopper and a scale ruler. The build is quite simple, nothing revolutionary but it is just great for any fine cuts on small wood pieces. The sled is made out of plywood and MDF and runners are made out of hard wood. You can easily mount the sled on and off and set the required length of the cut. As a safety precaution I fixed a plywood cover on the back side of the sled in order to stay safe from the saw blade. As an upgrade I'd add a cover above the blade. Be cautious when working with power tools!
    Safety:
    - POWER OFF and UNPLUG the device when making any adjustments!

Around two weeks ago I had an accident with this same tool. Luckily I did not cut my finger all the way through but it went close. It was so painful and scary. I got away with two stitches. The blade almost made it to the bone. Yes, this tool is not as dangerous as the big table saw, but it is dangerous nonetheless. I never had an accident with any tool. I was very prudent. Just that day I was in a hurry, I said "what the heck it's just a small cut it'll be easy and fast". So, if this message can save even one finger out there, I am happy. Do not underestimate this tool. Alway be careful, and keep your fingers far away from the blade!!! Always. One single time might be enough. It is not possible to rewind the tape. I wish I could right after the accident.

I'am impressed by all your selfmade precision tools. It's a kind of art to produce precision in wood.

This is a great sled! I especially like that it has no base unlike so many others. With these saws, cut depth is already so limited. This gave me some ideas to make a similar one, just perhaps a bit wider to accommodate slightly longer boards.

I prefer this sled over the others because it doesn't have a board at the bottom. The board will lead to the scarifice of some cutting depth.

sorry, if i already have a proxxon table saw, then if a sliding carriage or a device is to be made on it, don't use other machines. these would be helpful films or documentaries of such a saw.
