I was at Death Valley in 2022 and it amazed me on how much Orange showed up down there. With the performance from our team and Vol nation showing up, the home crowd never got in the game. I'm hoping this is similar or even better.
OSU backs like to bounce and the RB flare routes will open the QB up to run. Will be interesting to see if UT DL can keep rush lanes to contain Howard?
Question: can UT mix up their coverages to force Howard into some bad throws and stop the big plays? Can Harrison/Carter hold up in coverage? McCoy/Gibson will tackle the hitch routes well as they have all year but the WR in the bunch packages are scary because the trash the DB has to run through as the WR runs out the backside. To me, that is more of a threat than the outside WR. Carter has gotten lost too often on those routes.
Tennessee's D-line should impose it's will against Ohio States O-line. Ohio State has the luxury of playing in a weak conference, which always elevates their stats. TN needs to eliminate the stupid penalties and turnovers, and if Nico can hit 2 or 3 long passes, they'll beat Ohio State and will probably have a rematch with Georgia for the NC, and I think TN wins the rematch. Obviously, they'll have to beat Oregon to get to the NC game, but Oregon hasn't seen a D-line like Tennessee's, and TN is overall more physical, so I think TN gets the win against Oregon.
Let’s hope those osu fans get cold and over watching our Vols put it to their boys and go home early. The Tennessee fans should be boozed up and warm. Then we can make this game look like the LSU game in 22 when we ran the fans out and played rocky top all 4th quarter.
Ohio State fans know that Ryan Day is NOT an elite coach. Ohio State has a huge talent advantage over practically every team they play, and Ryan Day should be competing for a NC every year, and that's not an unreasonable expectation with their level of talent. Obviously, Ryan Day is NOT capable of taking advantage of having better talent, which means the players aren't getting developed properly, or whatever the issue is, it clearly falls back on the coaching. Ryan Day just said they just accomplished their goal of making it to the playoffs, which isn't good enough for Ohio State fans, because they expect to win NC's.
If Tennessee gets an early lead, you can expect the Ohio State fans to get upset and start booing Ryan Day, and if it looks like TN is going to blow em out, then the Ohio State fans will leave the game early. Here's why, Ohio State has more talent on their team than anyone, maybe more than Georgia, and the Ohio State fans are realizing that Ryan Day is NOT an elite coach. With their talent, Ohio State should be winning NC's on a regular basis, especially when they're playing in a fairly weak conference. I don't think it's an unrealistic expectation for Ohio State fans to feel the way they do when it comes to Ryan Day.
Great breakdowns

They should call the Big ten the big 4 and little 12 GBO much respect for Ohio State
Ok here we go. Question: Can OSU stop UT without dropping the S down to help when they are in 12 personnel????

Let's go V🍊L's

Last year's OSU bowl game should work as an inspiration for us. If Mizzou could beat them so bad, we must be able to beat them harder.
100%
