Aizen was the hero the world didn't want, but needed. He, unlike everyone else, saw how broken the world is and how corrupt the soul society truly is. Its very foundation was build on lies and treachery. The nobles, the royal guard, the court guard squads, everyone in those groups contributed to the suffering of humans, hollows, souls and quincies. Every single conflict we see during Bleach is directly caused by the actions of the Soul Society's upper echelon. He wanted to change the system for the betterment of the world but the system wouldn't change willingly so he decided to force it into submission. In the end, he was right. The world was build to be cruel and arduous, so his means had to be the way they were for the end to be achieved. The end justifies the means.

This is quite ironic. SPOILER ALERT FOR THE BLEACH NOVELS. In the novels,ichibei had a conversation with kyoraku where they talked about ichigo and ichibei said that ichigo was lucky because they sent him to defeat yhwach and ywach was killed,they would chop him up just like the soul king (Who got his limbs cut off,his heart scraped and all of his internal organs being ripped out.) And make him the soul king. But ichigo got lucky that yhwach absorbed all of the soul king's power before dying. So,after the battle was complete they chopped up yhwach's dead body which acts as the soul king now.
When you think about it... it's a case of beyond good and evil, what the Zero division does is needed evil so, in certain ways, it is not evil. Aizen wants to upset the balance for unknown ends (we know his stated intentions but if they're true or not is part two). We know Yhwach's intentions were to bring back the world without death from before his father was butchered but that world wouldn't work as Aizen stated it so... in short... it's all a matter of perspective. Reio's betrayal and suffering/half-life brought about worlds of change and hope. Yhwach's fate, grisly and unbelievably brutal considering unlike his dad he wantonly opposed it, is to nurture those worlds further in his father's stead. Simply put: No one is good, no one is evil, any who claim so do so from their own perspectives and if those perspectives are warped in any way their verdicts aren't objective.Even Ichigo to a certain level is evil, the only ones you can say are good are those who are born evil but change/choose good even if limited (Harribel protects her fracciones and Huenco Mundo as best she can, while evil in birth she's choosing some good, Grimmjow is a manifestation of the aspect of destruction, born evil as well, chooses to be better, Nel as well, the Shinigami, on average, though perpetrate evil while being born good to protect an impure world).
