Finally got a chance to make this demo video! I couldn't be happier with the Lollar 50's Wind P90 pickups. The original pickups were too muddy sounding to me.

@JohnnyBgood548 thanks! And I love those Lollars, much better than the original pickups.

@randymcgraveymusic I believe it! Those are the best P90s!

@JacobWillett-h9p they are awesome for sure, and not too dark like some other P90s.

Hi Randy, great video and mod. Hearing the same issue with mine, so im looking to do the same. Were the covers and chrome trim a direct fit as well?

@marksvideochannel3592 thanks Mark! And I actually had the tech swap the original pickup covers onto the Lollar pickups. They look too good not to keep. The covers fit on nicely. The biggest issue was removing the pickup covers from the original pickups (they were really stuck on there).

    Sounds great! Are these noiseless?

What’s the point of the demo if you’re not going to use the original equipment. We don’t need the aftermarket version.

@@mario6759 it's more of a demo for the Lollar pickups, which I happened to put into this Gretsch. The original Gretsch pickups were too muddy and didn't inspire me to do a demo video the way it was.

I have one of these. The demo video from Tarpley music accurately demonstrates the stock pickups if you want to hear what they sound like. Muddy isn’t the word I would use, but they are certainly dark with a neutral or British amp. They pair best with a scooped Twin-style amp.
Randy, the Lollars sound really nice too. Nice playing.

@@dansmusicdemo You're right, dark is a better word for the pickups. The Lollars are brighter and more of what I look for in a set of pickups. And I almost always use British amps, so they pair nicely. Thanks for checking out the video!
