@@samurexatlas7373 For playability for younger kids, yes. The larger limb pieces also give a lot more room for unique detailing, as opposed to the old spindly ones where any detail they had was relatively minimal and abstract. It gives the new mechs a lot more character than the previous ones had, and ghost rider here is a great example of that.
Dude a Carter Slade Ghost Rider(Sam Elliott's character in the film) Mech with a giant Skeleton Horse on fire would be hella cool, ohh and then throwing in Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider with his Hell Charger from the Spider-Man set would look so absolutely badass
I think it’s funny that a while ago, I was gonna build a Ghost Rider Mech with a bike, but I didn’t and now I’m kind of happy and it’s definitely up on my list of what I’m buying on the first.
I'm still really not a fan of mech aspect, but even worse is that the bike is enlarged to fit the mech, hopefully someone will be able to figure out a way to downsize to make it minifigure accessible.
If I had £1 for every time in 2023 January Lego released an evo mech jointed mech with the new fingers which could ride a motorbike and had a fire based owner, I’d have £2. It’s not a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice
I think if I got this I would paint the orange parts on the mech black. I would probably replace the gray phones with some decent piston covers for the motor. Idk. Looks kinna cool. And I do love the original Nic Cage Johnny GR.
Mechs are alright, but i do wish at least the Thanos mech would use the bigfig head that was introduced in the compound set. Or having it as an extra part so you can change between normal and big, depending if it's in the mech or not
I agree with you on adding more flames to the motorcycle also if you replace the two bushings with 1 x 4 technic liftarm thin then you can add more flames to the front
This is not Johnny blaze it’s a Danny Ketch, the first one was Danny too actually. The confusion comes from the movie design being based on Danny sense he wears a more simple leather jacket. Johnny wears a weird jumpsuit thing.
Fact is, even if you get out reviews really quick, they are all banger reviews and I genuinely use them before buying sets to be sure of what I’m doing! They dont even feel rushed.
i actually came up with my own story for the mechs: A new threat has appeared, but our heroes’ powers are not enough, so Tony began to design these mechs for them to use. each mech i have a different description depending on the mech.
I'm hoping that someone comes up with an alternative build for this set that's just a minifigure scale motorcycle. Probably won't get the set until that is the case... I'd rather not spend $30 for 1 figure and nothing else.
I just had a thought, if Ghost Rider climbed into a Gundam or any mech suit it would burst into flame and warp to suit his style just like every machine he sits in or mounts. I guess they thought the bright orange joints would accomplish this effect but it just looks cheap and Halloween-ish. Otherwise the bike and minifig are pretty cool.
Not gonna lie, I had my doubts that Ghost Rider wasn't enough to hold a set individually, was expecting to be sharing the set with Spider-Man as in the past; I'm some sort of dissapointed to be honest, we just get one figure, but happy at the same time that LEGO take the shot to give an obscure character it's own set. I'll get the bike.
3:34 - Never had a Technic set before? That piece, the engine block, has been around for like three decades, maybe longer and is a Technic mainstay piece. As for the set, this works for Ghost Rider; yes the bike is oversized and yes he doesn't need a mech but this is really one of few ways to get a cool looking Ghost Rider Bike with detail. Not sure of the price, it feels a bit high; in theory, the mech is £13/$15 (the new retail price going into 2023 when the previous mechs used to be £9/$10) so the bike makes up the rest of the £30/$35. And I just don't quite see it that way, given how simple this set is as a whole; I'd knock it down to £25/$30.
@@Ashnflash Dang, I thought you would've seen it before at some point, even if you don't buy Technic sets. Fair dos though, there's still some pieces I've never seen before because they never appear in the sets I buy.
the mechs are cool but i would have perfered to have this set be robbie reyes ghost riders's car and jonny blaze and danny ketch's bike to commerate the anniverary of ghost rider

These 2023 mechs are much better than previous years. Makes me want to actually buy some.

the ideas sick but i think that using the evo joints is a bad thing as it limits the pose ability of the mechs
Though it does make them much more sturdy. The previous mechs weren't very stable thanks to the way their limbs were made.

I found this set for $17 at my local Superstore!!
Since you asked, they could do Green Goblin and Hobgoblin like this with their gliders.
The orange joints and limbs for the mech look very odd and wack, would be better in black or dark gray
Now THIS is peak Lego Marvel Mech right here! 🤩
The only mech that I think could have a vehicle-like build, is the Green Goblin with a glider build
I feel like this is more trying to look closer to Danny Ketch, especially with the face on the bike
