Awesome video. I’ve been considering this unit or the UM790pro. Was so happy to see you have a video on the other one too. I think you’ve sold me on this one!
I have this minisforum HX pc too, very impressed with its size and performance. Regarding display problem @1:40 I am able to run 165hz HDR freesync monitor with display port. All you need is a USB c to DisplayPort cable (recommend Cable Matter's USB c to DisplayPort cable, very reasonably price and well built), this is done via USB 4 alt mode. So, there are no signal conversion/no conversion artifact. Instead this a running natively via usb c DP alt mode. I am able to get 165hz HDR 10bit on my hp display this way, and freesync works as well for my games and potplayer. You should give it a go.
I will be waiting for 7600 minis forum for AV1 decoding, most future AV 1 youtube and the rest. Only wish to do have only normal thermal paste to easy application even if box will be little bigger with bigger radiator.
Great informative, video. Subscribed, liked, and shared. One thing of concern: I am seeing the two USB4 ports being advertised/reviewed as at the full speed(40Gb/s) on multiple, reliable sites. Although this does dot surprise me from Minis Forum's early implementation of USB4, I was wondering where you ascertained this speed/info in regards to the two USB4 PORTS being limited to the 20GB/S vs. the advertised 40GB/S. Again, my sincere appreciation for this detailed content that may affect whether or not I choose to return this very recently purchased product. I will happily send over a "financial appreciation/thank you" if we can provide some sort of speed validation on the ports to Minis Forum and the other sites so they can make the necessary adjustments.
I just picked up the 64g big boy for $850 on amazon this morning. Glad to see it wasn’t a horrible deal at that price. I plan to stream using it. But i will only be using it to capture my face cam and a feed from a capture card. I’m off loading the gaming performance to a ps5. I wont be using crazy overlays or anything either. Hopefully it works. 😅
@@TheAutumnWind_RN4L it was awesome. I love this mini pc! Especially at that price. Ive yet to have a single issue with it. Im not hard on pc’s but it runs everything i need it to smooth like butter. So happy i didn’t spend more money just to build a comparable atx computer.
@JoeyTheSinic yep! Hey, Joey, I want to add another 2 Tb ssd in the second slot, and I was looking at the Samsung 990 pro. Should I buy one with the heat sink or without?
But the AMD 780M is very far behind the AMD Radeon™ RX 6650M graphics card. That's why I chose Minisforum HX100G above Geekom A7, with the specs you have mentioned.
I know it's gonna be crazy overkill but I'm going to throw in a 4tb crucial T705 m.2 and a pair of 32GB G Skill TZ/RJ/FX DDR5 6000 C30 2x32GB ram, is that better than the enhance? I have absolutely awful shit how do I don't know which is better, my Samsung 8gb ram is garbage and is going into the recycling as soon as it comes in
The 5800h variant hx80G is around $450 barebones If it's solid $399 i might get one over those 7940hs minipc Pretty sure nextgen rdna4/radeon880M wont beat this setup performance wise
The HX99G that you reviewed is overpriced and stupid. Instead, I would recommend purchasing the HX80G, which offers DDR4 and a combination of 5800H+ 6600M. Although there might be a slight difference in performance, the price difference is significant, with the HX80G being almost $300 cheaper. At the price point of $620, it outperforms any PC you are likely to build."
@MyComputer just to let you know M8 Polish humiliator sold more copies than any Russian game in history of Gaming ,and to top it expansion as well . 🎤 Drop lol
Don't make the mistake and buy a PC from Minisforum! I made this mistake and I regret it. Forget their two year warranty. When you have a problem, you can deal with Chinese support. You write them: My power supply is broken and they answer: "Please send us a video of your monitor not connecting"!

Wow talk about getting ditched in the youtube algorithim, cool video bro this should have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more views this thing lookds cool af
thank you friend!
dude just stole someone else video and talked over it tho lol
Probably because it's translated video
Supposedly to OC RAM in BIOS
Go to: Advanced => AMD CBS => UMC Common Options => DDR Options => DDR Timing Configuration

I wanted to purchase a Samsung 990 Pro ssd for the second slot. Do I need the one with heatsink or without it?
This is prob gonna be my next PC been doing research on it for over 6 months now
I bought one and ditched my old gaming laptop. It's such good value.
lol doing research makes it sound like you designed the chips and boards and shit
HMMM, the back IO looks differen from the pictures on the website, but well the specification tab mention the ports as the video, so its fine.
Bananas for scale - you're a good man.

7800m xt is leakedand will be released and around 2x as fast as 7600m
Great review! I wish this would be more upgradable. 6600 is good, but 7xxx is just around the corner. For around 700-800 this would be a steal.
You cant always chase the dragon; you'll never catch it.
I took the plunge and bought one. Was trying to wait for 7xxx series but I couldn't pass it for the price I got it. Plus I needed a mini pc😊
There's finally the 7600xt and even the 4070, the form factor is very ugly compared to this though
8:59 what is that on the left of the screen!?
Hahah reach pointer;)
I'm surprised that the premium you pay for the compactness isn't that high

In my country it's actually cheaper to buy this than a gaming pc or gaming laptop.

I see you caught the sale like I did 😁
Update. This thing works great. My face is 4k and my game capture is 1080p and it runs like a champ on OBS whether recording a video or livestreaming

this the one with no drivers?
Oh I hate those pin power connectors, the pins some times come out and your screwed.
How does it compare to the AMD Ryzen™ 9 7940HS with AMD Radeon™ 780M for gaming 1080p? What is the best?

Could you feed me with some info?
I need some dimensions form this hardware(without the casing around)

Love the Devon Rex !
This could be revised with a 78/7940HS and the 7700M XT. Drop in a 2TB KC 3000 and 32GB Crucial DDR5 56-6400. You're golden.
ill buy the version with 7800m xt, but nice vid ! subbed
Is there a version with that GPU?
@@lordorian825 not yet I believe
I wish you could test the new HX77G with the same detail as this one. Very good, thank you.
The clip of your memory slot is broken and causes a false contact !
Quick question
why people don't buy this over a conventional CPU? What's the catch
You mean a conventional PC? Well the limitations on upgrades is one, you can't really change the gpu or the processor, I don't think.

How is the way to the bios with this model. Thanks for the help.
Such a great review. Any chance of the more affordable mini pc with 680 and 780 igpu? Earned a sub ❤
The down side it's not an upgradable as a regular PC.😢
The SSD and the RAM is upgradable but you’re stuck with the CPU and GPU.
Any idea if this pc or the HX80G version will be on discount any time soon ? :(
A little bit confusing that the video is in english while most of on-screen information is in russian 😵💫
Сбивает с понтолыку как-то
How about Starfield
When you realize amd 780m with 16gb ram alloted and OC is as good as amd 6600m or intel arc a730m or rtx 3050 8gb 45 watt
No Brasil é 6k fácil esse mini cpu
Won't this GPU die like most laptop's GPU?
yes, I have one 6600M dead, that's why I'm asking.
I guess is better than the UM790 Pro

Nope rather the 99g especially cause you can get it on sale
