      I would add....... keep the population in a state of anxiety by reinforcing thr 'crisis' with constant announcements, visuals and urging them to be intolerant of those who question the fear narrative and the solutions offered ( which invariably involve loss of freedom and fundamental rights and a huge shift of power and wealth to the perpetrators). Sounds familiar?

      The way these idiotic politicians acted during their covid lockdowns proved this. If people still don't see it, then they're actively choosing not to see!
      Their behavior during their lockdowns showed US that they think, or rather they KNOW that their own rules that they're demanding WE either adhere to, or be forcefully arrested, have OUR life savings taken, and be fired from OUR jobs do not apply to THEM!

      The guy saying ‘it would cost our country’ was partially correct. If the nations ( individually and collectively) don’t start NOW it will cost the world. Our children and grandchildren their health and wellbeing. We will reach a point of no return or at best limited return.

    • @mikeboston5800
      @mikeboston5800 10 месяцев назад +12

      by their estimations it was already suposed to be today the point of no return, and yet it hasnt. I am not saying we dont have a problem, but not to this extend as they exagerate it so that they can implement these new laws that benifit the interests of certain people. When asked about what percentage of our atmosphere represents the CO2 total, in front of congress, they said that they dont know, they will have to come back with a answer, and at the end they made them take a wild guess,5 of them if i remember correctly. All of their guesses ranged from 6 to 8 percent. that moment was really truthtelling about how litle they know about climate change and its effects on the planet, wich lately has been shown that the 0.01 percent elevation (from 0.03 pre 1950 to now 0.04) has insured that certains parts of Sahara desert is starting to become green, wich is observed from our satelite images, and ifthe percentege god fronids comes down to 0.02 all the plants around the worlds would die, trough out the history of humanity we observe that everytime temperatures rise, our civilisation does too at the same time, and everytime it goes down and its cold, it brings death, famine, no innovation, and pandemics. sorry for my english, i had to edit some of my grammar mistakes@@Leo-vc6rx

    The ELEPHANT in the room that everyone is overlooking is that, unlike China and other “developing nations” (China has the oldest DOCUMENTED nation in HISTORY), the United States is NOT building new Fossil Fueled power plants. For 41 years I worked in the Electric Production side of a Louisiana Electric Power Corporation, and within the year, one of the largest units we have came online in 1975. These units were designed to last about 30 years. It is 48 years old right now. America’s power grid capacity is older than it has ever been. There aren’t enough unused open spaces to install enough solar panels, nor are there enough places in Louisiana with consistent wind speeds to power wind turbines to sustain the load on the electric grid, just in Louisiana, and the same is true for the vast majority of the states in America. No wind = No electricity from a wind turbine. The open areas are currently being used for such “whimsical activities” such as agriculture, grazing land for livestock, you know, places for FOOD PRODUCTION. Environmental nutcases don’t seem to care about things like that. They would have us clear-cut vast areas of forest land for solar panel installation, though they forget that trees use Carbon Dioxide to produce a silly gas that intelligent people call Oxygen, also conveniently overlooking the fact that we need lumber to build houses in which to live. Investors are NOT going to tie up their money in the development of NEW Fossil Fueled Power Plants because of the FACT that Left Wing politicians won’t allow them to run in the very near future. It is VERY possible that there isn’t enough time to replace the AGING Fossil Fueled Power Plants with new Fossil Fueled Boilers along with new steam turbines, generators and all the necessary equipment to support each unit before Electric Power Companies will be forced to ration electricity, simply because the demand is quickly growing much faster than the ability to supply electricity 24/7/365. You can bury your head in the sand, but I’m telling you the Truth and FACTS ARE KRYPTONITE TO THE LEFT!

      Carbon reduction= eliminating human beings and many other evil things. Solar and wind are NOT enough to sustain America. Not even close.
      One of my brothers used to make wind turbines and he used to tell me about how dangerous they actually are. Some of the stories he told me, I'll never forget. He ended up leaving that job because he felt it was too dangerous and he wasn't being paid enough for the risk.
      They cause fires, they kill birds and he always used to tell me he didn't understand how anyone could ever think wind turbines were enough to produce long term energy for all of America's needs. Not just the country and its infrastructure but the American people.
      I mean, I'll support some of the alternatives, but to completely take out what has worked for America for this long is absolutely insane.
      Do they have some sort of energy source that we dont know about? I've been wondering about that.

No privatized oil/gas company wants to even think about it, they will go out of business. So basically a communist kind of taking care of the problem. Im from the Netherlands, a tiny country with 17 million people with almost no impact on the world stage regarding this topic, but also we are constantly been asked about what will it cost. I think capitalism / free market will never solve this problem. Only nuclear energy can reduce oil/gas usage. The guy from Cambridge was right to say, maybe there will be other kinds of energy in the near future , he probably means plasma/ion/cold fusion etc.., but I fear that this will not be invented in the next 20 years on a scale that it would be relevant. So building 100 extra nuclear powerplants would be a good start, but the guy who thinks it would be 200 billion is way off, the guy from Cambridge thought he meant per year :-p

For example, "How much will it cost to transition from fossil fuels to green energy by 2050?" It's as simple as that. If they can't give a plain answer to a written question in advance of the hearing, they are not allowed to testify. So, no answer gets the boot. Anyone who claims it isn't their area of expertise is likewise booted. They obviously don't need to be there.

Cause none of the items they want us to use, really gives out enough energy to match what the items we are using now are doing, day or night time. Solar only works if the sun is out and if you have enough batteries to store up that extra energy you don't use, Wind is the same way. do you think so? I find it kind of stupid that he is insisting on knowing the price tag of some thing that hasn’t happened yet and he’s arguing that we shouldn’t try to fix the problem until we know how much it will cost.
      Let’s use that same logic and (magic as you call it) with cancer. step 1: give an accurate explanation of how much curing cancer will cost. step 2: figure out how to cure cancer while staying within that budget
      Does that make any sense?

      Honestly I think he was asking that because even he was thinking that that was an insanely low number for 25 years of infrastructure rebuilding. He said is that a yearly figure because it actually makes sense as a yearly figure. There's no fucking way it would cost a few hundred billion dollars to rebuild most of our countries infrastructure. We're easily talking in the trillions of dollars.
