  • Join us for a round trip from Wroxham to Aylsham behind Blickling Hall on the Bure Valley Railway
    www.bvrw.co.uk/
Due to Covid, theyre using the opposite platforms to normal which for enthusiasts could be seen as an added bonus
The BVR is a 15 inch gauge line running over a former standard gauge trackbed, with most of the std gauge bridges and one of the former stations intact, BVR trains looking very out of scale

I take my 2 young boys on it 2-3 times a year. It’s great.

No token for single line running? Look at the points at Aylsham station - they are too near the buffers to permit any locomotive to do a run around.

There is just about enough room after the points at Aylsham for a locomotive to run around the train.

the railway runs on a radio system, only 1 train is allowed in a section at a time. example: if there was a loco ready to enter aylsham but there was a train about to leave, they would have to radio in and ask for permission to enter the section.

@@3RailwayPlace thank you. Trouble is, the site doesn't differentiate as to which of the two villages provides more "entertainment t" whilst we wonder about waiting for the return
