I really like Daredevil's backstory. How he's father was supposed to lose the match but won it knowing he was going to die because he didn't want to disappoint his son. Makes me cry just thinking about it.
Hmm.... i think the main reason there wasn't any backlash about Daredevil offending the blind is that blind people on the whole don't read comics..... so were mainly unaware of his existance.
Marvel didn't want to promote daredevil because he could do things blind people can't? Isn't that the point of superheroes in general, they can do things normal people can't?
I can't stand how people view Daredevil as a Batman rip off. Matt Murdock has superpowers, he lived a poor childhood, he is a lawyer and he is blind. Bruce Wayne has no superpowers, he lived a wealthy childhood, he is a philanthropist and he has 20/20 vision. Daredevil's love interest is an assassin named Elektra. Batman's love interest is a burglar named Catwoman. I totally agree if people call Moon Knight and Iron Man rip off to Batman. But just because Daredevil's costume is a symbol of fear doesn't make him a Batman clone.
Felix Nolasco Iron Man being a rip of is a bit of a stretch but nonetheless I agree with you about Daredevil, he could probably beat him in a fight, being the 3rd greatest martial artist in Marvel and being superhuman.
Daredevil's my favorite character ever. When I watched the Director's Cut of the film as a kid, I spent days pretending to be him and trying to navigate the house in a blindfold. When I read the Miller Omnibus of DD's run, I carried it around like a bible. I love the new series, though ironically I preferred the Director's Cut film since the character there is overall more empathetic and more caring of the downtrodden in a way that's kind of lost on the Netflix series' angsty Mcgee. But I appreciate both in their fantastic portrayal of Matt's lawyer chops.
I like Charlie's Cox's better, since he is much more of a flawed character, and a down right hypocrite. It makes him much more relatable and interesting, though Ben did okay with what he was given.
My favorite Daredevil fact is that the gym he is seen practicing punching in is the same gym that Steve Rogers is seen punching bags in in The Avengers.
That's a lot better then the inverse reality. The gym he works out in is his dad's old gym that he doesn't clean so he can still smell his dad's sweat and blood in that room while he trains extensively to keep himself in top form.

I want a version of Daredevil where he trains himself with advanced sensory attacking weapons to desensitize himself from said attacks. When he first had his powers, everything hurt because his body hadn't adapted yet so anything that was sensory input information was the equivalent of a sensory weapon. By this basis of trained conditioning through exposure therapy gives him both a adaptive defensive nature as well as a potential adaptive offensive nature. The more he insulates himself against sensory weapons, his senses also grow and become more powerful and more multi dimensional. I want a story line where hypersonic weapons promote a catalyst for this phenomenon, and this advances his powerset. He should goe from just Echolocation, Superhuman Senses, Equilibrium and Psionic Resistance to Echolocation, Sensory Adaptation, Superhuman Senses, Equilibrium, Relative Strength, Speed, Agility, Dexterity, Reflexes, Accuracy, Psionic Resistance, Superhuman Memory, Cognitive Functioning and Intelligence. The idea is their is connective divergence of his Sensory, Echolocation and equilibrium oriented powers. They all feed into each other symbiotically. Furthermore, if he has a perfect, and superhuman, equilibrium then by extension he has a inherently superhuman physiology comprehensively specifically prioritized around his equilibriums functionality. He has a Superhuman Equilibrium at his base form because he has superhuman sense of touch. But, if you have a superhuman sense of balance by extension you have superhuman strength if not but relative strength specifc to the context of superhuman capacity for balance because there is a correlation between balance and strength. Because ot takes strength and muscle to be able to balance. If he has superhuman equilibrium he automatically has superhuman strength of some sort, so I would say Superhuman Relative Strength. His entire physiology is also Superhuman for equivalent reasoning with every other attribute.
Also it is kinda neat to see him as a Catholic in Netflix. Not only does it ground the morals of the story and his character, but also it's cool to see my religion get some badass representation in the world of superheroes 😁
I was never a huge Daredevil fan because I've never been a huge Comic book fan, and the 2003 movie SUCKED. But I liked him in the spiderman animated show. But oh my goodness, I am a FAN after the show.
I stopped reading Daredevil about 10 years ago. And, up until then he was not okay with killing. I can recall him killing 3 people, all in self defense and Miller was always the writer. He killed an abductor of children who shot a bullet at DD and DD batted the bullet back between the guy's eyes (and the guy was threatening to kill a little girl). He also let a guy drown in the same story arc, which was Miller's Man Without Fear. During Born Again, DD shot down a helicopter pilot that was killing NYC citizens with machine gun fire. Before he brought the chopper down, he said, "Forgive me.". He did also drop Bullseye from stories up, most likely trying to kill him, but Bullsye had just killed Elektra. And, Bullseye was about to throw Elektra's sai at DD when he dropped him. So, no, DD historically hasn't been okay with killing.
I love DD! He was the hero that got me into comic book heroes and movies! In my opinion, I think Affleck did great as Daredevil in the 2003 movie. To this day, it's still one of my favorite superhero movies.
I love Daredevil. I've loved Daredevil since I 1st heard of him since I 1st saw him. The best comic book character ever. I think I was like 10 when I 1st saw him.
With help from promoting both the Netflix series and the 2003 film, I've been a big fan and since I was five, I got to know incredible info on the man without fear and how he became a big influence for Marvel fans everywhere and what he means to the comic world, Matt Murdock's a true badass with a plan and a vengeance.
Darth FatCow That can be a problem. If everything is too dark, it's not going to be good. If you're going to have a dark hero, you need another hero or the supporting cast to be the opposite of that to counter it. That was the problem with Batman V Superman. There was no character that can counter the dark tone of the main heroes, even though Superman is generally not a dark superhero. In Daredevil, we have the supporting cast, specifically Karen, Claire, & Foggy, to counter the dark aspects of Daredevil.
Darth FatCow they arent complaining comics are too dark, they are complaining that every comic or movie or show is trying to be dark just for the sake of being dark, most of them failing at it too. it seems everyone sees the success of certain very good darker storylines and just automatically assumes they have to copy that and make their stuff the same
I've noticed that most Marvel heroes fall into *three categories.* 1. Weak and/or smart and nerdy person gets powers through some scientific phenomenon: -Spider-man -Fantastic 4 -Hulk -Captain America 2. Person, often cocky or successful sustains a disabling injury yet gains powers that overcome that disability: -Ironman -Daredevil -Dr. Strange 3. They are simply mutants: -Magneto (More of an anti-hero) -Wolverine -Professor X
His eyes are very much fucked. If it weren't for his other senses he wouldn't be able to really see shit. His radar sense gives spatial sense to interpret his surroundings but he can't see at all.
Master Oshawott I know they're friends. I'm just saying Mojo's reasoning for it was dumb. They literally said they are friends because they're both based in New York
"Daredevil inspired the Ninja Turtles and indirectly started The Avengers." In other words, this character is WAY more important than we gave him credit for.
I think it's an understatement to say he is a shadow of Spiderman and Batman. Him being blind makes him have to fight twice as hard. He also works inside the law and pulls double duty at night. Also, Daredevil shouldn't join The Avengers. He would be better served as Matt Murdock. Sooner or later The Avengers are going to be sued in court and for all their superpowers none of them have the skills of a lawyer.
You forgot one other fact: Daredevil's Radar Sense doesn't work very well or at all underwater or in heavy rainfall. Even though I always believed this to be opposite since I love the 2003 movie.
Daredevil is so underrated. Daredevil Frank Millers run on the comics made him a hero with this noir aesthetic we know him today. DareDevil is a much more realistic and tolerable version of batman .Batman is cool but DD in my opinion has way more depth in character development. He's not just a badass vigilante ready to fight everything and everyone....hes only human like the rest of us. PS. Daredevil is blind and has hypersenses...just like the bats which are blind but have sonar to see xP
What I like about Daredevil is his radar sense where he can see sillouettes of people when he fights them. Usually with the lights off which gives him the advantage.
While he does resist the temptation to kill extremely well there are rare moments where he goes all in. Unlike Batman who almost never has in any canon comic, daredevil usually does when hes at a breaking point in his life
"The original Batman comics were very light-hearted and goofy." Except they weren't. In the original Batman comics, Bats was hardcore. He used a pistol, and on occasion either killed or allowed to die through willful inactivity a number of thugs and villains. After a couple years, writers adopted the "no kill" policy, but even then It wasn't until the Comics Code Authority was introduced in the '50s that Batman became much more comedic (and often outright absurd). Fortunately that phase didn't last very long, and by the '70s he was back to being the brooding vigilante and jaw breaker we all know and love.
I'm surprised they didn't use any clips from Trial Of The Incredible Hulk. The black outfit from season 1 of the Netflix show was obviously inspired by the Daredevil outfit from that TV movie.
I had this dream where I was blind but when I moved it was like I could sense things. Imagine walking in total darkness but having your brain tell you what’s out there. I felt like I entered Daredevil’s world for a few minutes.
Spider Man takes care of new York. Daredevil micro manages the shit out of like 12 blocks of it. Spider man swinging by when suddenly he gets knocked out of the air by a cane. a voice shouts from the rooftops "STAY OUT OF HELL'S KITCHEN"
I’ve always loved the fact that Daredevil and Spider-Man know each others identities. I mean I know it’s common for other supers to know each other’s identities but I mean how they pretty much knew their identities from the moment they pretty much started working together. Also reminds me of a line from Spider-Man ps4 where Peter looks at a card he got from Matt and says “in case Spider-Man ever needed help- wait how did he know I was Spider-Man?”
"The original Batman comics were lighthearted and goofy" Oh god no. Golden Age Batman comics were very dark and melancholy. It was the later Silver Age Batman comics that brought on lighter tone.
The daredevil Netflix series is fucking epic I also liked affleck’s daredevil I thought it was really good and the scene where him and Electra kiss in the rain was so beautiful I will never understand why the movie got so much hate it’s ridiculous.
Daredevils fucking awesome & Elektra is hot as hell. Hope they get MANY more seasons of screentime & adventures together before the Netflix show is gone

The more he insulates himself against sensory weapons, his senses also grow and become more powerful and more multi dimensional.

I'm surprised they didn't use any clips from Trial Of The Incredible Hulk. The black outfit from season 1 of the Netflix show was obviously inspired by the Daredevil outfit from that TV movie.
it's actually inspired from the frank miller run of the comic called the man without fear...
RIP daredevil TV series :(
I had this dream where I was blind but when I moved it was like I could sense things. Imagine walking in total darkness but having your brain tell you what’s out there. I felt like I entered Daredevil’s world for a few minutes.
Not offended. Indeed, empowering.
I actually liked Ben Affleck's portrayal of Daredevil. Charlie Cox beats him by a wide margin, but the movie is still good.
I think the script and plot of the movie were fucked up, But Affleck was good for the role. BTW the director's cut was awesome tho
R.I.P Stan Lee. 😢
Spider Man takes care of new York.
Daredevil micro manages the shit out of like 12 blocks of it.
Spider man swinging by when suddenly he gets knocked out of the air by a cane. a voice shouts from the rooftops "STAY OUT OF HELL'S KITCHEN"
Fangsabre fucking awesome did that come st8 outa the comic book 😂
Great work dude
I just wanna see daredevil and Spider-Man team up 😢
I’ve always loved the fact that Daredevil and Spider-Man know each others identities.
My favorite marvel hero
Daredevil is the best superhero show made ever
I love DareDevil he's my favourite superhero💛
So your telling me without daredevil we wouldn't have a dark and gritty batman?...... Nice
I never new there was a daredevil movie!!😭
"The original Batman comics were lighthearted and goofy"
Oh god no.
Cesar Alejandro Same the 2003 movie was sick
Yo watch mojo !!!! Now that Jackie chan won his oscar do a top ten Jackie chan moments!!! Please

Daredevil is one of Marvel’s popular superheroes 🦸♀️❤️

He is a good Lawyer
Daredevils fucking awesome & Elektra is hot as hell. Hope they get MANY more seasons of screentime & adventures together before the Netflix show is gone
