Always played sports since I was 8. I had literally thousands of friends and met thousands of different personalities growing up. They all have one thing in common. They forget about you when you're gone. It crushed me. It taught me people don't really care about you as a person. It's more about what you could do for them. They only wanted to be around me because I had status and girls chasing me. Not because I was a loyal genuine person. They only wanted what I had. Now I'm 10 years out of school. I'm a loner and only focus on work. It really changed my life for the better. I'm off social media, only talk to 4 solid friends and I find myself never seeking validation or feeling less than another person. I surrounded myself with people who only think like me and support me. Learning and growing myself is the only thing I care about now and I've never been happier with life.

The sun would burn my skin if I was exposed to it and I’m black. Moral of the story, we don’t know why she was avoiding the sun, could’ve been for the same reason as mine - a medical one. Happened to me. Had two friends I went out of my way to organise parties and other stuff for their Bdays. When mine came around, one (who'm I'd know for 20 years at that point) said 'Ah sorry bro, I forgot, I'm always thinking it was the next day' (lol); the other one refused to entertain a night out (just grabbing dinner) because he had a gym session in the morning (I kid you not). I don't talk to either anymore, and I'm very happy about it. At first I felt guilty, like man, I should've said something. Everyone gets caught up in their own lives? Besides, I'm a grown man, I don't even want a party or anything. But it was never about the effort or the thought, so I dropped it. But it happened 3 years in a row from both of them, lol. Regarding the girl avoiding the sun: There was a point in my life where I was on some medication & I had to avoid the sun because it wouldn’t mix well with the medication. The sun would burn my skin if I was exposed to it and I’m black. Moral of the story, we don’t know why she was avoiding the sun, could’ve been for the same reason as mine - a medical one. Happened to me. Had two friends I went out of my way to organise parties and other stuff for their Bdays. When mine came around, one (who'm I'd know for 20 years at that point) said 'Ah sorry bro, I forgot, I'm always thinking it was the next day' (lol); the other one refused to entertain a night out (just grabbing dinner) because he had a gym session in the morning (I kid you not).
I don't talk to either anymore, and I'm very happy about it. At first I felt guilty, like man, I should've said something. Everyone gets caught up in their own lives? Besides, I'm a grown man, I don't even want a party or anything.
But it was never about the effort or the thought, so I dropped it. But it happened 3 years in a row from both of them, lol.
In some situations, the actions of others speak for everyone else involved.
