📠 seriously, the announcers need to learn how to be narrators, as well, again. like, my man Robert “Bob” Costas used to set the MFKN scene, dude! shit always had me amped to watch a NBA on NBC game, NO MATTER who was playin. I loved the NBA on NBC intro theme, too. shit is so nostalgic
Why can’t games these days be like this??? I do miss the excitement, the pre game intros that makes you shiver and teary eyed with delight. The 90’s were the best era for NBA intros.
I think this sport had Its storyline peak in the 1990s due to NBC’s brilliant storytelling. Hakeem seems like a genuine Superhero watching all these intros and seeing how much the odds were stacked against him. The 1990s was also very top heavy. 60 win teams all over the conferences

Amazing how much Costas hates the rockets. Amazing this guy is still on TV. "Titles certainly in the future for the Magic" great prognosis there. No penalty for being wrong I guess
thegreatestusurper That’s not hating the Rockets, everyone thought Orlando had titles in their future. You had to be watching basketball in 1995 to know that. Everything after is why people are cautious about free agents and young teams
@@finnbalor8021 yeah true, Orlando was pretty much the clear favorites to win this series since they were considered “the team of the future” by fans. Depsite Olajuwon Consistently proving himself throughout all odds. This only was Topping on the cake for Olajuwon to Outplay SHAQ in one of his (arguably) his Prime years. “Yes I know 2000 his generally considered his year but This shaq was more nimble/more footwork and with much more Competition in 90’s”

And that changed the pace of series The extremely dangerous but Young Magic couldn’t get back up.
Everyone thought that at the time. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. Even Jordan crowned them, in his own words, "They're the team of the future, the team to beat for the next 10 years". That's why they got Harper as a starter in the backcourt and Rodman in the frontcourt, to contend with the Tall backcourt and physicality of Shaq.
The NBA needs to go back to being on NBC, how many of you out there agree.
All of us. All of us is the correct answer.

Thousands do my friend
Well it looks like we may get our wish because the NBA on NBC is likely to be returning after the 2024 / 2025 season.
The Rockets 1995 run still the most legendary run in History
I swear their is none like it
The wad of garbage media throws at your head saying rockets only won cuz Jordan left also makes it extremely underrated
The Golden Years with the NBA on NBC. Great upload!

I loved it on NBC. The opening
Magic only team to send MJ home after he won a title, of course he made them pay the next season.
A rusty mj tho they never beat a healthy 💯 MJ

It's embarrassing the way you people suck Jordan's dick with all that " he was rusty" nonsense.
Ya bunch of sheep

Clash of the Titans Hakeem the Dream, Young Shaq, Still good Clyde the glide, penny hardaway
NBC please bring back that vibe again. I mean I love NBA/TNT but ABC is boring without Jalen and the crew.
Byron Bond I been saying the same thing for years, the NBA is way better on NBC then it is ON ABC
Tipped in! Tipped in by Hakeem!
I was 8 when I saw this.
Oh look, the series that ruined a young 12 year old Orlando boy's life lol
Joseph Lucero I’d argue 96 was worse. 95 we still had hope for the future
As a Houston Rockets Fan, I loved this series 😂😂😂😂😂

2:56- 3:00 And Jordan took that personally
I came for 3:16 - 3:50
The magic were too young and immature and it showed against Houston
Weak era
