Incomparable human being and my childhood hero. I did everything based on HBK. Designed his attires, grew my hair like that, wore boots like HBK, searched thousands of cowboy hats but my country doesn't have such cool stuff. I even got into video editing by editing Shawn's clips to different songs. I remember when I was in school, Shawn retired and my heart broke for real. After all these years, you are still my idol. Love to meet you one day. Much love from Sri Lanka.

1997 HBK was the complete wrestler. Vince been trying his hardest with these wannabees since but none come even close. Him and Austin are pretty much one and done talents.
Stone Cold saved WWF from almost going out of business. While HBK was ironically killing it while he was champion.

Stone cold was out for 9 - 10 months from late 99 into 2000 and somehow the ratings didn’t drop and merch increase mainly because of a wrestler named The Rock. No one man did it by himself it took a team.

Considering how two-faced and perfidious Michaels and Triple H were in the 1990s, it just seems wrong that they have those jobs today. It's more due to Vince McMahon losing his head and making too many mistakes as he got older and basically forcing himself out of WWE.
Hence why he sold it. Like "If I can't run it, I at least want the money".
Triple H was kissing severel butts back in the day, most notably Shawn's and Vince's butt... And the people who couldn't stand Shawn Michaels are too many too count.
Note that some stuff, like what Shane Helms had to say about Michaels, was from the mid-2000s... so about the "born again Christian" version of Michaels.
Michaels also never admitted to being an utter prick back in the day.
He merely says he became "a little difficult" after he won the title at Wrestlemania 1996.
