Mercedes-Benz C63 Black Series Conversion

- C63 black series conversion time-lapse.
Based on a W204 C63 coupe with factory colour being Obsidian Black then converted to the very rare Black Series in the original press colour Solar Beam Yellow.
The process was very long winded and many errors occurred on the way. Slowly but surely the conversion finished and I must admit, certainly worth the wait.
A lot of the parts used are OEM parts from Mercedes-Benz and others are Fibre Glass parts that was sourced after market.
Overall result is far better then I imagined.
Hopefully anyone wishing to do the same conversion learns a thing or two from this video.

Nice wide body c63, but it ain’t no BS.
Only thing letting the Coupe C63 down are the stock front seats. The saloon I have comes with the proper AMG stock front seats. The Coupe has decent rear seats stock though. Also wished both Coupe and Saloon has stock wide rear wheel arches like the actual Black Series
Great conversion.. one thing..your shop is really dusty.. you need to wash down your shop on a regular bases... Here in Canada, if your shop was a mess, people would pass right by you because your shop show how much you care about the small details...
Thanks, luckily the shop wasn’t mine only thing that was mine was the car other wise 2 different body shop did the job, first one was taking forever and kept lieing and second one did the job and made up for everything

Did they put anything on the inside of the rear sides to stick the wide body kit on their w out falling or they did put any screws inside of the frame to hold the body kit ?

Great work welldone I think is a nice personal project the only downside is if you decide to sell it provably you won’t get as much as it was a original w204 but you earn pleasure and happiness of your project however i will imagen you will keep it for long time . I understand the reaction in some of the commends this is similar to those who buy fake expensive clothing trying to show something is not original and genuine however I will asume you are young lad provably under 35 years old who build this project normaly when you over 40’s you see more the beauty of cars on genuine and original . Message from a C63s genuine original owner who loves AMG ‘s
Thanks for the comment, I totally agree with your the genuine is always best. However, even this the conversions fetch good money too as it’s such a hard game to Cj very then so people actually do ask for a good price. Last time I checked they was around £40/50k. However I personally like stock too nothing touched and no remap but we tend to alter things here and there for the RUclips videos so others can see what it’s like…

This body kit is the polish one and it’s the worst body kit you can ever buy, I highly recommend you get the carbon edition it’s a little more in value but honestly everything will line up nicely. Thanks

The best body kit to buy is the carbon or none carbon edition from china
You may see a the kits from Poland a lot cheaper and can be very tempting but the quality is absolutely terrible, to a point it requires a lot of prepping and eventually cost more!

Where can I get the kit m8?
There are several types of kits, I’d advice getting the German version or the Chinese carbon edition version.
Both of these are good quality and pretty neat to fit. HOWEVER, avoid the polish kit as not only is it terrible quality but fitment is a joke and requires a lot of labour to make it fit okayish.

how did you install the tailpipes?
The tail pipes fit onto the bumper, pipes come separately then there’s a section on the bumper where it screws into place
Hi my friend what is that section do you have photo when you install this I have the body and I am going to buy the pipes but I don’t know because some pipes has brackets is where this screw the pipes no the bumper thanks

You know you could have just bought the actual black series body panels and installed them using OEM parts. This way it would actually been a black

Yeah for 60k probably
@@leakcity4083 Jsut go to ya local dealer and ask them for the front and rear fender part numbers and bumpers . Any pannel beater will install them for you. If its like the CLK63 you will need to install the wide body suport and control arms. The shock mounts on the rear CLK was just a coiler over setup in the rear shock tower.
Unsure about the C63 but it was an eazy install.
the rear fenders are installed as if you were just replacing a damaged one. Any pannel beater can do this

Considering ya black go for about 150K and a C63 are about 40K here, its 100% worth the effort

@@Letstravel89 yes but the whole process took roughly a year as I had to take it to 2 different garages as first one kept delaying it and did some of it and second garage finished it off. But yeh 5k in total 2k was roughly paint and renaming was parts steering and other bits if I can remember.
@@Letstravel89 but if I was to do it again, I’ve worked it out and it will cost me roughly £10/15k that’s for the proper kit and not the polish kit as the polish kit is one of the worst kits I’ve seen.
