      George doesn't need to go under the table to generate up pressure to regrip, because he is short, look how low devon and todd need to go for a good regrip (shoving their elbows forward and hammer curling). Thats just how it is. Thats why devons kings move looks ugly, he is so long and tall he needs to go very low

      @hhhk20 Devon does this, for two reasons. 1st one is, he does his best to avoid any kind of controversy, and 2nd reason is to not appear to be unsportsmanlike. Yes, the jokes are a bit stale now, but it gets old seeing this todd guy wedge his elbow on the SIDE of the pad and just wait for his opponent to get tired. Only then does he stand up to press them down. Gets old, quick fast and in a hurry.

    The problem I have with crazy George’s kings move, even more so than I do with Michael’s, is that 90% of the time, his shoulder is below the table in a neutral or losing position. When your upper arm is below parallel to the table in a neutral or losing position , your elbow is no longer on the pad, it’s elevated off the pad and your tricep is now your fulcrum point. THAT is against the rules in every arm wrestling federation, even WAL.

    • @damasek219
      @damasek219 2 года назад +1

      No it's not. The pad is called pad for a reason. It's padded so you can have your tricep and elbow on the pad at the same time. The spongy structure of the pad fills all that space so your elbow is still on the pad even if you're resting on your triceps against it's edge. Pad is a soft surface, that's why it can offer a generous amount of movement.

      trubin got away with the win that match because the strap was loose enough for him to climb. nowadays especially in the WAL matches you see michael todd always pestering the referee to make the strap as tight as possible so the opponents hand is pretty much pinned tight onto his making them unable to climb. Thats why devon was able to climb with his hand in the armwars supermatch they had in 2012 but not in their recent WAL match. The best way to beat michael todds kingsmove is really just to completely over power him even in his both shoulders under the table position and make him feel like his arm is going to snap if he doesnt concede the match

    Now I understand the kings move and I respect it IF it's done properly. But I think most of the people gave Michael a hard time because you could clearly see that his tricep was on the pad, not his elbow. His elbow bone is pointing up and isn't even close to the pad. And that is a foul period.

      CossyMango The thing with Todd he uses the King’s Move while having a series of things working together: bonelock (arm doesn’t straighten), keeps triceps on pad while elbow points up, shoulders end up under the table, etc. In my opinion this is unfair and he should get fauls whenever his shoulders drop under table or when his elbow rises off the pad (despite still having triceps contact). The triceps is not the elbow... he should get a faul, which he rarely gets. If he would get a faul whenever he does one of those things, he would lose almost always through accumulating too many fauls.

    Hey Devon! I just watched your video with jujimufu. I really enjoyed them and I would love to see you have a Rocky like comeback and beat Dennis!!! As a personal trainer I have to say I think your on the right track lowering reps and trying to build power man. Also in the jujimufu video I noticed you talked about needing to train your triceps and I absolutely agree. I think building your arm more completely will help you a ton. I also think adding in more full motion bicep exercises to build your biceps like some of the ones you did with jujimufu will be super beneficial. Got to build more power and strength to beat Dennis Devon. I really want to see you succeed. Doing explosive movements like box jumps, power cleans, and explosive deadlifts will make your overall power and pull strength better in my opinion. I think if you add in the explosive and strength movements for your hips, biceps and triceps in addition to your own lifelong arm wrestling exercises you will be able to make huge gains. Remember. . . If you do what you have always done you will get what you have always got. You got endurance for days. You just need to build that power and overall body strength and you will be golden man. Good luck Devon! Hope this might help you.

    Devon you have done a great job on the past couple videos. You sound like a veteran college professor with the skill in which you explain arm wrestling tactics and techniques. Keep up the good work. Very informative and entertaining.

    This is a great video describing the King's move. I will keep everything from this video in mind when/if I can get into arm wrestling in the future. I love the sport and I would really like to join it, I just can't find any clubs for it anywhere near me which sucks. Keep up the great videos Devon.

    Literally an amazing video Devon. You can really break down arm wrestling and explain it like no one else. I have a feeling that this video may just change the arm wrestling communities view on this move.

    Such an interesting video. The information adds so much depth and story to armwrestling. So many great elements here: A 70+ year old arm-wrestler who is a master who trained for 50 years with a technique that is super hard to counter... thank you, I hope to see more.
