Something special about the Anglo harp, it has such a uniquely earthy sound. if mother earth would play anything, it would be this.

Why would you be proud of something like race or heritage? You had no control of your heritage, it was an accident of birth. Don't see why anyone would be proud of that. Do you walk around saying you're proud to be 5'5"? I suppose not. Do you walk around saying you're proud to have a predisposition for skin cancer? No, it's a genetic accident you had no control over, just like your racial heritage. And we have absolutely nothing to do with the songs, discoveries, and triumphs of those that have gone before us. So reserve pride for your own accomplishments in life.

    • @nathanmcdonald1572

Oh yes, because Britain is the only place in the world with white, Anglo-Saxon descendants... You people are paranoid. Ever notice how animals don't give a shit about "races"? Because: 1. They don't perceive or care about race and 2. They are only concerned with personal survival and the survival of their SPECIES. The human species should be no different.

This seems to be a lyre or lyra. The latyer english lyre that is cello like base instrument (that is similar to the lyra de bracchio that is one of the ancestors of the violin) actually is the same instrument you are playing but then changed so that is works better as a bowed instrument (in several steps starting with a.o. medieval the Lira d'esperia) Kind of difficult to keep track of everything that is happening in Europe concerning string instruments that often are played with the hands (eg vihuela da mano not be confused with the Viuola da bracchio) and bowed as well. This type instrument also has some variants that were bowed!

A sunny, warm dry day in England. My that's a rarity. Just goes to show how bad it must have been in the Netherlands for Horsa & Hengest who decided to stay after whipping up on the Picts. But then again, Vortigern didn't hold up his end of the bargain, so what we're they supposed to do? At least Britain wasn't flooding out like their homeland was. The rest is history and what you hear in this video is a good depiction of the Angles, Saxons and Jutes.
