OG Unica is a card I can get behind. I wish Bushi put more effort into making 3 attack decks more viable instead of pulling and Oprah and allowing everybody to get 4th and 5th attacks.
I agree, if a deck is going to have three attacks give us stuff to make them scary. I believe that Unica was going the right way with her support, but unfortunately they missed with Masque
Honestly, I hope that eventually Unica gets the Vivace treatment. Bico is incredibly counterintuitive to what Unica wants to do and honestly it'd be better if we had better options for the deck. It's frustrating since both of the decks I play that got Masques units (this and Gravidia) feel worse to play because of said units. Just give us some proper base support, Bushi!
Side note: the "normal unit counts as trigger thing" needs to actually apply itself in the bind zone as well. If they don't count as triggers, specifically critical triggers there, neither Unica or Bico benefit
I agree with creating Raindear-esque support. A Unica equivalent of this card would treat itself as a critical trigger unit when it is on the field, not just strictly soul and drop, because Capricornus allows you to put a trigger from hand to soul. Sometimes, you don't have all 3 triggers in drop, so this comes in clutch. There really needs to be an RG for the deck that has the abilities of a RRR worthy card. I honestly think Unica's support is currently lackluster compared to a lot of other decks that have multiple support cards at high rarity, each of which providing 2-3 effects to help their specific deck. Currently, our best card is a RR that does the same amount of work as a common card.
As an Almajestar player, not sure why bushi is not giving an impactful support like lianorn vivace, however, with new era anime, let's hope bushi makes something more cool than an overdress skills.
I agree, it's clear to see they're not sure what to do with her, or how to support her. I actually made some custom card designs on reddit showcasing what she needs to be successful
I believe she needs a grade 4 that builds on the original unica but adds some things from bico. Keep the grade grade 4 a 3 attack kind of deck but let her get the benefit of soulblasting more then 3 crits while letting her have a crit. Keep the 1,2, and 3 crit bind effects but add a 6th either let her give her front row really strong power boost or give 1 a crit.
I actually like Masque Unica, I don't think the deck needs to get rid of the masque I just believe her problem is finding consistent pieces that work well with both Unica's. I made a post on reddit showcasing my custom card designs for the deck to fix it, and when designing it needs a card that gives something to a rear-guard that adds pressure, for both Unica's
@primevanguard I'm not saying get rid of masque though I'm assuming we aren't gonna get much more support now that dragontree is in pieces in the anime. I main Bico and evil eye so if u want I can show you what I use for my bico deck. My deck doesn't fix masque problems but does help with some of the problems.
This video made me look up more support cards for Unica/Bico because I'm limited by what I can make in dear days. After looking at some stuff.... isn't the Evil Eye Beast a really great line for Unica? Grade 1 Soul Charges (cus you're gonna wiff the grade 3, so auto SC 2), then Grade 2 you're gonna put a crit into soul and draw a card off it. After that there is a card called "Plutonic Prospector" which is reaaaaally great, it supports both lines, meaning its "always active" and once you start binding, you get a 15k shield that the deck sorely needs since you're spending time getting your crits into soul. Not to mention its searching for your rides which get really clunky when you're running both Unica and Bico. Phonograph is okay, but honestly, the deck is very CB heavy, the deck needs a recharge, I don't know if a draw warrants using a precious CB that's needed to utilize Bico's potential. Lindalkia works really great provided you double down on Bico, which means maybe keeping Unica a 2 of or 3 of at most. In the interest of going as offensive as possible, I changed my triggers to: 8 crit, 4 draw, 3 front
I have no complaints cutting heals out, the thing I needed was some proper shielding which gets fixed with the Plutonic, and the evil eye ride line+cycle cards make sure my hand size stays nice and healthy to deal with damage anyway. The best defense is a great offense in this case I believe
Im still experimenting as of now for different cards to play in my Utica Deck. I think the promo isn't a bad card and with the 50 card deck rule, Im sure we can find space for him somewhere. Between fronts and draws for Unica, I'ver personally been playing draws because I want to draw into extra pieces that could potentially help me later in the game. However, I've heard fair testimonies for fronts. Between the ride line for evil eye and almajestar, I've been choosing to stick with the Almajestar ride-line. The evil eye ride line for all the reasons that you stated is just as good, but then you have to commit more cards from your hand to the board, and like you stated this deck already has a shield issue.
@@primevanguard You misunderstood, I made her as aggressive as possible, because that's what she wants (both versions): I cut heals completely, I'm running fronts AND draws

Evil eye does the same amount of soul charging, but while you talk about having to commit more units to the board, I've never once though I'd want Spada as a booster over my other options. Also sometimes I want to have kitzpeak on the front, but also use clean sweep, and I'd have to over call anyway or wait a turn so I can properly utilize dyna for fodder. I found running Lings help with the early game soul charging properly, and Also the Cycle cards, let us pull the useless stuff out of soul for a free draw/ride, considering how much the deck soul charges anyway. The Prospector gives us shield AND the ability search top 7 for our ride pieces, meaning we don't necessarily need to max them out. As you said before, you don't necessarily want to rush from Unica to Bico, so being able to get to the persona ride while having space for other things isn't bad! Or so I think anyway. It's all theory craft at the moment since I lack the resources to test properly.

I don't think so, I've seen a few list that don't use masque or if they do have it, its treated more like a finisher then a vanguard you stay on.
