It’s just too much bs just to run the planter now days…. We just want the seed in the ground but here we are sitting and looking at a screen trying to figure the damn thing out.
😮😂👀 Poor Dougo's expression was priceless when Chet called the planter junk! It's always amusing to witness such reactions. I can't help but wonder what was going through Dougo's mind at that moment. His face said it all! 😮😂👀
I thought it was great, Chet, when you told your dad, "we don't know what buttons you like to push.". His immediate denial was great. Reminds me, and I'm guessing you too, of many conversations where something wasn't working correctly and dad's goto response was, "one of you kids...". It was nice to see the tables turned 😂. God bless all of the LF family.
I am excited to see the custom built trailer when it is finished! You guys are awesome!! I see Mr. DOUGO IS BACK! Toby is back checking out the Kittys and running the shop!!! Great Video Chet‼️
French drain but in a driveway wouldn’t be ideal but if there’s black dirt like they were digging out best thing is to dig the driveway out and redo it woth QP or something better
To stop mudjacking put down a geotextile before putting down the gravel. You can also put down a thinner gravel layer for the same performance. See the manufacturer specs. Tested in MN over several decades. Good Luck!
I agree with Dougo, I just bought a set of refurbished 7000 planters and you know you don't have near the problems out of them you have with all this electronic junk they make today!
I remember that my Uncles used to net spring carp, that to help reduce the population. One year, I'm guessing 1956, they dropped off a pick-up load by the hog pen, and we fed them to the pigs. Even after seven days, some of the carp were still alive!!! The pigs would eat them but by the end of the pile, you could tell they had had enough Sushi. And we didn't do that after that. (Cottonwood River, New Ulm MN.)🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
My father in the 70' and 80's had a small open station tractor and a 6 row IH Cyclo planter for sunflowers. Simple and easy. Needed a steady hand no GPS. In a few days he planted the 200 or 300 acres that needed to be done.
Great vid, Chet. So glad you seem to be doing well. I'm gettin' to want more of Dougo!! You have a fantastic crew with the Big Sweed and Brody. God bless the farmers!!!
Gotta have that road rrady for a busy planting season to avoid equipment damage. Looks like you guys are days away from 20 hour days. That trailor your building is awesome. A design I'm pretty sure other farmers who may be watching this will be asking Chet for a parts list and where he sourced all of it. Maybe Chet sould patent it and get a deal with a major farm equipment manufacturer with a percentage of gross income percentage part of the deal.
Was awesome seeing Toby. Epic reaction from DougO 'about the planter update. Have 2 pugs myself, crazy thing is their brothers. On a good day their called dum and dummer, on a bad day its dum and dum ass. Awesome video guys. 🚜🚜🚜 🐕🐕🐕
Toby is the reward why I watch the videos. ( no just kidding). Trailer is coming together. Hopefully it will be ready for planting season . That was kinda cool to see what you are doing to your driveway. Never seen that before. Thanks for the video, have a great day
Hey Chet. Love the videos. How about some music credits for your opening & closing bump music. We're a midwest family. We have had farms in northern Indiana and NW Iowa. Retired to Florida so we're done with winter snow.
That was a really great video. Toby was in it. Always good to see Toby. Dougo is good at keeping his cool when being told all the planter info from field directions to lengths and whatever is all gone. I know lots of farmers and others who would have come out of themselves with information like that. A great scene with Eric straight down the trench line dropping the gravel. Precision speed and driving. When I did my truck licence the examinator said to me it's amazing how mant people trying ti drive a truck can not keep the vehicle in a straight line. I had to drive on the outside lane and manage the road camber and keep the truck in a straight line. Thanks guys.
Chet Dougo Eric Broodie great job good explanations on the driveway and trailer and planter can't wait for next video never miss a video want to see trailer finished
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Chet when you told Dougo about the planter problems with the computer data, his face looked terrible , like your kidding of course. So now all the computer data has to be reloaded-oh my technology. He did not like that news it was obvious by the look on his face. Feel bad for him. Planters are hard to get set up that is for sure. Your new trailer is about done I guess. Will be nice to see it operating. You guys have worked hard on it. Nice job!!!!!!! Never seen a road fixed like that before. Good job Dougo and Eric. Hi to Toby. He looks kind of heavy. Good dog. Like your side by side. Handy machine to have. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Larsons. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
You finally realized that Polaris is the best built ATV and UTV in America, Minnesota since 1954, I have bought a used Polaris Sportsman ATV in 2019, it's a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 450 ho and it had 2,564 miles on it, well it turned over on Sunday afternoon 22,000 miles on it and never had any problem with the engine, I changed oil and filter every other month and I have taken care of it, as I don't have a driver's license so my Polaris Sportsman ATV is my main transportation source for me, I have owned Polaris Sportsman ATV'S since 1997, but I do all my own work on it, new parts as things do ware out,
You must be the only one in existence that has good luck with their products then. Polaris is absolute garbage. I’ll take your Polaris with 22,000 and raise you a Honda that’s going to hit 45,000 this year.
I've always wanted to be a farmer my family has grown crop in Lasalle county illinois for nearly 100 years but sadly it will be lost as the new generations of kids are too focused on becoming a media influencer. I am studying to be a marine technician but it's never too late to change careers. This content your putting out and family businesses are more important than anything you hear from someone that has never even had a real job😅 keep up the good work chet and editing looks good!!
20:47 KEEP THE EXTRA HOSE DDUDE!!! that is like OVER THE WHOLE WATER FILLED DITCH kinda reech there dude, FROM ON THE ROAD :) !!!!!!!! AWESOME sprayersupporttrailer LOOKIN PRETTY DANG COOL dude! GOOD LUCK!! :)
I worked for an in land commerical Aqua Farm . I'm almost convinced that carp smell worse than almost any other dead fish yes they lost oxygen almost immediately once the ice and snow covered the water. Coverthose fish three or four feet under the ground as soon as you can but trust me wherever you bury him we'll make great Garden or growth area in the future
I don't know about carp but growing up on a hog farm. We would go out and catch 100s of bullheads. And after cleaning them we would dump the rest to the hogs. They loved it.
My uncle and I would hook up the grain drill, grease it, and be ready to go in 20 minutes. 21 if we got the hydraulics backwards. International 1206 and JD 750, American Iron let's go.
Chett what time do you guys normally work to on a daily basis ? I always hear you mention dinner wile your still working ! You definitely have a hard working crew Fellas!!
I like the new trailer set up, looks a lot more convenient than the old set up, and i imagine it will much cooler, without breathing in so much chemicals. When you fab something that you are gonna use, it's better that way. G-d bless y'all.
Dougo - In the 70's and 80's we would feed our pigs fresh carp, they loved them. They would fight over them. You must have been feeding yours too good. Poor Dougo when Chet was telling him about the planter. That was definitely the oh crap look.
Yeah, do you 7000 GB plan and see if he’s super ahead of the new one because good weight for them updates updates all the time or the computer crap you’d be out there being done. Got agree with Doug oh 7000.
Apparently the Indians would put a carp on the corn hills to get better yields. So once your corn starts to germinate you go out in the field and put a carp at each plant. Of course you need to gather all the dead carp and store them till the corn is ready. Just trying to be helpful. Don’t be afraid to consult me for future tips.
the old info might be still existing in memory; have dear john send you a computer programmer who knows the system to look for the files, they may be able to copy and paste into the new program. (I know, too late. there's always next year! ;)
Dougo's face when Chet was telling him the planter was junk.
Priceless
The fear 😂
He looked like he was about ready to kill someone 😂
😂😂
It’s just too much bs just to run the planter now days…. We just want the seed in the ground but here we are sitting and looking at a screen trying to figure the damn thing out.
😮😂👀 Poor Dougo's expression was priceless when Chet called the planter junk! It's always amusing to witness such reactions. I can't help but wonder what was going through Dougo's mind at that moment. His face said it all! 😮😂👀
Dougo is not wrong at all about what he said about the 7000 corn planter
I thought it was great, Chet, when you told your dad, "we don't know what buttons you like to push.". His immediate denial was great. Reminds me, and I'm guessing you too, of many conversations where something wasn't working correctly and dad's goto response was, "one of you kids...". It was nice to see the tables turned 😂. Always enjoy it when Dougo reminisces.
The look on his face when you told him about the planter. Priceless 😅
Great to see Toby pop in to see us.😊
Liking the longer video Chet please keep it up
I am excited to see the custom built trailer when it is finished! You guys are awesome!! I see Mr. DOUGO IS BACK! Toby is back checking out the Kittys and running the shop!!!
Great Video Chet‼️
Need to run a tile line down the middle of the driveway to stop the frost boils
French drain but in a driveway wouldn’t be ideal but if there’s black dirt like they were digging out best thing is to dig the driveway out and redo it woth QP or something better
@@leonapplegate5450 they could do that, or, just knife a single 6 inch line in and be done in an hour
Enjoyed it, especially when Dougoo got the software deleted news.
To stop mudjacking put down a geotextile before putting down the gravel. You can also put down a thinner gravel layer for the same performance. See the manufacturer specs. Tested in MN over several decades. Good Luck!
😅Hey Dougo remember the pilgrims putting the fish under the corn for fertilizer this could be a windfall for the farm
I agree with Dougo, I just bought a set of refurbished 7000 planters and you know you don't have near the problems out of them you have with all this electronic junk they make today!
Good show
Brody is such a good addition to the team! 💪👍🏼
As always had good time watching Larson Farms. Like Doug said get out the 12 row and the Dickie John, time to plant.
This is the third channel I heard guys talking about moder technology issues and how the old days were better.

Another great video! Just knocking every one over the fence! God bless you all!

Hey Chet. Love the videos.

Hey that is so cool. You guys have got it dialed in. Neat hookup. And that worked pretty slick dumping right down the center of the road. 👍❤️
Shifting is smoother when you double clutch Chet
Looking good Chet
you guys have all the fun good stuff take care of your dad god bless

very nice video guys. Trailer looking awesome
Have a good day 😊
Chet, did you pretty much design the new spray trailer?? I see some get the same type of trailer and those tanks but the rest seems to be your mind.
Looking chilly still
That black orange semi that was pulling the belly dump needs to be pulling that sprayer trailer.

Had liver and bacon lambs liver snd onions 🌰 gravy mashed potatoes 🥔 so nice gina .
Ps hows you're back now sending blessings gina
Would it pay to get some thumb drives. When you are done for the season make a copy of the settings and keep them in the office.
Can't restore from them.
Tractors aren't the same as a computer.
Some parts are close.
Others not even close
I don't know about carp but growing up on a hog farm. We would go out and catch 100s of bullheads. And after cleaning them we would dump the rest to the hogs. They loved it.
Just dig a hole and bury the carp. Coming along so far can’t wait to see the whole thing done and ready to uses. Hope you get the lane done.
Put carp in middle of driveway duggo is digging cover up with rock.
@@jerrydewitt8585 👍
Put them in the cornfield everybody put some in your garden for fertilizer. You might get some real good corn or soy beans.😂😂
Dougo's face just tells the story of the importance of having backups!
Magnifique tracteur et le semoirs et les camions et les remorque 😮😂
I grew up with a 7000 4 row dry fertilizer planter.
My uncle and I would hook up the grain drill, grease it, and be ready to go in 20 minutes. 21 if we got the hydraulics backwards. International 1206 and JD 750, American Iron let's go.
Hi 👋
Another great video Chet. HI TOBY
Its may here in Texas ya,ll still see your breath up there happy farming
His videos are about a month behind
Chett what time do you guys normally work to on a daily basis ? I always hear you mention dinner wile your still working ! You definitely have a hard working crew Fellas!!
Dinner is the mid day meal. Supper is the evening meal.
Lunch is dinner, supper is supper
Great videos . What flashlights and flashlight holders do you guys wear???
Interesting road fix ...
I like the new trailer set up, looks a lot more convenient than the old set up, and i imagine it will much cooler, without breathing in so much chemicals. When you fab something that you are gonna use, it's better that way. G-d bless y'all.
Dougo's right though you'd have alot of acres done with the 7000 by the time they get the newer planter all setup again. No bullshit to deal with
Write down all your offsets for equipment and keep it in a notebook in the tractor. Less headaches if they get wiped out.
Good thing Toby didn't find the dead carp and roll in it! lololl
That’s the difference between truck drivers and steering wheel holders
hey is winter over? time to change intro video with green grass lol great video
wow, the transitions are hardly noticeable that there are 2 takes, there are already several in several videos that I notice, they look very cool
I had a Beagel when I was a kid and she was always getting dirty
Dougo - In the 70's and 80's we would feed our pigs fresh carp, they loved them. They would fight over them. You must have been feeding yours too good.
Poor Dougo when Chet was telling him about the planter. That was definitely the oh crap look.
The Clay holds the water that will work great.
I thought dougo was gonna cry when he heard about the planter
From south Georgia Brodie is the Swiss Army Knife
You should keep the old machinery with the leeeeevers.
🔥great to have ya back dougo.. nothing like more hungry pigs eh 😂🔥👊🔥🔨🏍🚜🌽
Keep up the good work
Yep, they always replace the ECU! IN my experience that's almost never the problem, it's always bad wiring.
Team Toby!!
claly is expansive soil, changing volume with changes in the moisture content
Nice trap collection ! And New house traps?
Yeah, do you 7000 GB plan and see if he’s super ahead of the new one because good weight for them updates updates all the time or the computer crap you’d be out there being done. Got agree with Doug oh 7000.

That hose setup is called a squirrel tail.
that system where the driver controls the implement jack, needs a camera and a monitor feed to the cab.
