I'm not a musician but after listening to music intensely for good 35 years of my life this is one genre that attracts me profoundly and in this genre these musicians standout (with Budd). in the "jazz" genre there are a couple of albums that are as "conceptual" as I call them -with modesty- "the sea" and "the river", with Davis Darling et al. I think you listeners would enjoy them.
