    I GOT THIS TOOL ABOUT A YEAR AGO. IT'S THE BEST MULTI FUNCTIONAL RESCUE TOOL YOU CAN BUY, AND OF COURSE YOU CAN USE IT EVERY DAY AS A REGULAR POCKET KNIFE. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITH OUT IT. AS THE SAYING GOES, " IT'S BETTER TO HAVE IT AND NOT NEED IT, THAN TO NEED IT AND NOT HAVE IT". YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. BUY IT PEOPLE. IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. GREAT JOB ON THIS ONE VICTORINOX, JUST LIKE ALL OF YOUR OTHER STUFF.

    Nice tool, but ..... in Germany we have §42a.

    • @hosedragger-204
      @hosedragger-204 2 года назад +1

      Why does that even effect firefighters/police/EMS? Here in my state it's illegal to have a knife on school grounds and shit, but no one bothers me or any of the other firefighters in my town for having one on us whether we're there for a call or there on our own time.

    • @rene_falk
      @rene_falk 2 года назад +5

      @@hosedragger-204 OH, there are exceptions to rescue services in the law. However, the rescue chain in Germany does not start with rescue services, but with the normal people. For example, every driver's license owner has to have completed a first aid training. But this kind of knife with a one-handed blade and locking is forbidden for these people in public. That's completely crazy. Because the first minutes after the incident are the most important. For example, a person with a strong bleeding is dead in just under 3 minutes. There can be no rescue service on site in 3 minutes.

    Swiss Champ 91mm also can do all those task. Right isn't it?

    • @alessiomarin1218
      @alessiomarin1218 Год назад +4

      Not really. There is a big difference between a disc saw for shatter-proof glass and the wood and metal saws on the Swiss Champ. Also, there's no window smasher. You'll notice that the window smasher on the RescueTool is shaped in a very particular way, and that's because it's designed specifically for the purpose of breaking glass. Also, the SwissChamp main blade isn't really made for tougher jobs, as it's shorter, thinner, plain instead of of part-serrated, isn't designed to easily be opened with one hand irrespective of the laterality of the user, and doesn't lock, which is a safety hazard (speaking from personal experience; I have had blades almost close on my fingers during use due to the force and the fact that they don't lock). It's obviously designed specifically for rescue/emergencies.

    As a certified vehicle extrication and rescue technician, I encourage Victorinox marketing to correct the false information in this video. People will waste vital time while trying to save a life. The technique demonstrated at 0:42 to remove the windshield is not possible in any car built in the last 30+ years, which constitute 99% of the vehicles on the road. Windshields and fixed side/rear windows have been structurally bonded with adhesive urethane for decades. Further, at 1:00, the breaker cannot be used to "easily break windshield glass". Windshield glass has been film laminated for 50+ years. Claiming these capabilities is dangerously false advertising.

    • @Woodsie_Lord
      @Woodsie_Lord 5 месяцев назад

      In their older advertisement which scenes are used here in background, it was demonstrated that breaker can be used to break windshield glass, maybe not easily, but it can make holes.

    I'm sorry, but Disposable soft metal glass breaker instead of ceramic or carbide seems not clever at all. That's stupid actually, if you ask me. Clever for company that produces them, but bad for your wallet. Ceramic or carbide glass breakers are proven to be reusable without any loss of functionality and are used by a lot of first responders etc.

    If I was in a car crash and someone started sawing at my windshield with that little tiddlywink of a knife I'd rather just wait for a professional, instead of this horrendous product.
    Don't put a life in the hands of your gimmick pocket knife.
    Should have stuck with the window breaker, the seatbelt cutter, and maybe the toothpick, because you're gonna be eating a lot of shit by professionals for putting yourself in danger.
