I watched Banana Girl right after watching another movie with the same actors Ujam Chinonso (Kelvin) and Chinenye Ulaegbu (Kate) only in the other movie I think she was selling oranges and not bananas and in the other movie her aunt was mean to her. In this movie she had a loving mother. I think the other movie was called something like "He was tired of City girls" or something like that. Pretty much the same plot--and I loved them both. An honorable rich man with a spoiled, entitled fiance helps a poor young woman who he ends up falling for. Only in the other movie (where she was selling oranges) she had a fiance too until the aunt and cousin ruined it. I would love to see how this trope would work without any fiances involved.
