Yassss I love both the Before and After look.
Beautiful. I’ve never seen a plastic cap that big. 😄Laugh out loud😄❗.
Lol! Ya they are huge! They're jumbo plastic caps.
Lol, Humble Plastic!!!
Your hair came out really cute!
Charsdiy thank you!
Keep up the great work Imani 😁!
Very Illuminating Video😁
Came out amazing!!! Love it!!
Thank you! :)
Love your hair, can you let me know the name of the person who installed your locks unless it was yourself because they’re beautiful
Nice video! Did you use pipe cleaners to get those curls at the end?
Thanks! Yes, I did! The next video I'm uploading is a tutorial on how I made the pipe cleaner curlers and how I used them to curl my hair. I post biweekly so be sure to subscribe to get a notification on when I upload the pipe cleaners tutorial video! :)
Love the new color thank you for sharing 😊
Nice tips I really can’t wait to dye my locs!!!
You are absolutely gorgeous!
I love this thank you!!! Do you think I could dye the bottom of my sister Locks blonde without damaging the hair?
What was the color you had before? The brown?
Looks very nice. When did you start using conditioner on your locks? Do you use those products in the back on your Sisterlock’s
Thank you! And I didn’t start conditioning my sisterlocks until they were fully locked/mature. Everyone’s locs lock at different rates so ask your consultant. I didn’t start deep conditioning until maybe 6-7 years into my journey. I’ve had my sisterlocks for 11 years. I also have a deep conditioning routine video on my channel if that interests you! It’ll answer any other related questions better than I can via comments. Also, the products in the back aren’t all hair products. That’s just storage lol. I don’t use any of the shampoos or conditioners that you see. Those are there for other people/family with loose natural hair who visit. Only really use the Jamaican Black Castor oil. I hope this helps!
I really adore your hair. Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
So did you mix the colors individually and apply one on top of the other or with the random strands you applied one color and the other strands the other color??
I has the two separate colors in two separate containers. I then applied them randomly to each section throughout my hair, alternating between the two. (One section, one color, the next, the other. Repeat.) 😊
Do you color you hair before or after your retighten?
Question: would you suggest using aloe Vera juice on sisterlocks?
Sue Odoom Hi! I’ve personally never used it but I know that aloe vera has many benefits for the hair. I’d say give it a try! Just make sure the residue gets out of your hair to refrain from undesired build up in your locs.
Imani Goodridge Cool! I just figured since the sisterlocks products had it listed in the ingredients list, it couldn’t be all that bad. Thanks!
@@gibel13 I've had my locs for 7 years and I use aloe Vera gel (from the plant not packaged) blended with a little oil and essential oils (and strained) as conditioner and my locs love it. Especially after I dyed them. I don't get any residue due to the straining
How much did you pay for your sister locks. They are gorgeous
How long did it takes to grow your hair that long . You hair are beautiful. And if you don’t mind how much did you pay for your sister locks
Thank you! I've had my sisterlocks going on 11 years now. I think you'll find my Sisterlocks Tag and FAQs video very helpful in answering some of your questions and other general information about my hair if that interests! They'll explain why I don't know the price etc. better than I ever could in a comment :)
This turned out beautiful! What was the old hair color you used to get the brown locs, I love both colors results?
The same colors and steps in this video. I then did it a year or so later to get the lighter color
Sister locks are gorgeous, but why do they seems like they are not locks, but more of soft hair. Can you explain
The locking method makes it so. They are supposed to look like that and that's why many people like them.
Sisterlocs around microlocs as super small so they tend to look like small braids or twists and not locs.
Can I ask, why you didn't dye your roots?
I wanted to keep an ombré-like look. I wouldn't want all of my hair this color. Just a personal preference :)
Hello!! New here!! Great video!!just showed some love and tapped your bell!Have a great day!!
Awww thank you so much for your support! Have a great day as well :)
I love it!!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Hi Imani, can you dye sisterlocks if they aren't fully locked? I've had mine for 6 months.
Hi! Thanks for your question. I'm not a certified sisterlocks consultant so take my advice on this topic with a grain of salt. I'd suggest not dyeing your starter locks until at least 8-9 months after they've been installed. This way, your locs are mature enough to the point where they shouldn't unravel as much due to the constant rinsing of the dye out of your hair. I hope this helps!
@@ImaniGoodridge Thank you !!!
The other option would be to dye your hair before you loc it
I Love the color
Thanks so much! :)
Can I go from black to blonde 😭
Would you say what ever you pay for them, it’s a pig investment
Yes! In general, sisterlocks are the most expensive type of locs to establish and maintain!
The price will be different cos she's had them for about 11 years
Big investment
