Cpda 1 require one volume of adenine . But cpda 2 have a double volume adenine. So the cpda 2 is more better than cpda 1 to preserve 42 days or long shelf life the red cell concentrate or whole blood.

Volume of adenine in cpda2 is double, so self life of RBC s increase from 35 to 42 days or It is much better than cpdA1.
