So cool to see you making use of the grinder. Mine was so badly aligned the best snapped and smacked me in the face lmao. 36 grit leaved a mark if you were wondering. Took it completely apart and starting from scratch. Might make a video but man I suck at it haha. Would love to see more videos of you making things.
Oh shit! I hope you are ok. That made me wanna use a face shield for my future grinding. Sounds like a good decision to rebuild it even if I know it can be a bit tedious to redo stuff, but now you know what parts you need to focus on so that will make it better! Well, you have got to start somewhere, if you look back at some of my earlier videos they are quite shitty, haha. Learning by doing is my motto. I for sure would watch that video!
yes and no lol. I built a statis version so cant position it any way but 90deg. Once I get a new motor I plan to do it all again and will update you. Decided to make a 30ton press so next up is a good grinder.@@hermansacres
Sounds like a plan! A press, that's awesome! How big do you need to make the frame to make it sturdy enough for 30ton? I want to build one of those to. Maybe I need to build a good sized workshop first. It takes away the meaning a bit to build something and then having it outside to rust. @@the_fafologist
Good Morning, I actually made a Froe. Mine was kinda similiar to yours with the wrapper eye for the handle. I did not forge weld it, I cheated and used a mig welder. I did do the handle myself from an oak branch I collected for firewood last year. The Froe is a chunky monkey and weighs a lot more than it should. I only started blacksmithing in June so I am still learning. @@hermansacres
Nicely done! Mine feels a bit to large and heavy as well, so I have been thinking of shortening it or making a smaller one. Thanks! I'm glad it helps.@@adventureDad1976
Nice work, the handle is upside down from the normal way. I Made recently from old car springs that where super rusty. No welding necessary, Haven't tested a huge amount but work great and low energy build
Thanks! It is a enjoyable to reuse material. Did you make yours smaller? I have actually cut off a little from the lenght of mine, because I felt it was a bit unwieldy.

How did it go? Did you managed to rebuild it better? @b_creationz

Thanks Jason! Have you forged, or are you thinking of forging a froe? 🙂
