    Excellent video, and it's nice to see a true craftsman tell the story about TPI and how reliable the system is. For owners keeping the TPI system as is, make sure to always check the oil level and it doesn't hurt to give the system a quick look prior to each ride to make sure you don't have any system leaks connectors are in place, etc. Even though this vid is not about keeping the TPI system, the other two main items to ensure your TPI bike runs perfectly for years - warm up the bike correctly, give it plenty of time to warm up before you give it the beans and clean/oil your air cleaner correctly. Don't under oil your filter I see this all the time, dry filters. Again, well done video.

    I deleted the oil injection on my 2020 300 xcw. It was way over oiling and the delete cleaned up the power, it's now running like it should. I'm using the pin it racing injection block ... No issues.
    Bonus, I fabricated a mount plate for the sensors and they are both easy to access.

    Cylinder mounted injectors will lube the bottom end perfectly if the injectors are retimed to BDC.
    Standard TPI injector timing is around 90 after TDC

    Any recommendation on what oil to run when doing the delete? I've just received my kit, i have always ran cross power 2t as spec'd, but for premix is there a more suitable oil? Also, 50:1 seems to be the ratio? Any help would be appreciated 🤙 cheers.

      Run any oil that meets the specs. It’s not picky.

    Can you convert to carburator?

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  Год назад +1

      Anything is possible, but it would be cost prohibitive. As far as I’m concerned FI has already surpassed carburetor performance & tunability though. I’m never going back.

    Hey Chuck. What do you think of just running mixed gas in both the oil tank and the gas tank. like 50:1 or 60:1 or something. Do you think the oil injectors would get clogged??

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  2 месяца назад

      Haven’t considered that but running fuel in the oil tank would make the bike run slightly rich. The oil pump goes richer & leaner based on different inputs than the fuel injectors. The oil tank only holds 500mls. Why would you want that?

    • @EricNeilson_
      @EricNeilson_ 2 месяца назад

      @@ChuckfromTrueTech the reason would be that you wouldn't have to worry about the oil tank because you'd be running mixed gas. Apparently the injectors spritz on a cycle that would starve the crank if you do this. Just a thought experiment mostly.

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  2 месяца назад

      @@EricNeilson_ Putting fuel in the oil tank would throw off your air/fuel mixture slightly. I don't know if it would be enough to notice, but it definitely wouldn't be enough to significantly lubricate the bottom end.

    Do you have any experience with castor oil on tpi after the pump delete?

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  2 месяца назад +1

      No. I don’t get too worked up about oil. If it meets the specs it will be fine. Any reputable oil will do.

    How are you liking the IRK with the ERM compare to ecm recalibrated from TSP? Would you leave it in tpi or is IRK set up is a better setup? Not just for premix but power wise and throttle response? Thanks

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  9 месяцев назад +1

      It depends. For aggressive intermediates & others who want more top end power the IRK is the way to go. MUCH better top end power. With the R5 mapping from TSP I loved the mapping, but I’ve still made small improvements to suit my preferences.
      For less aggressive or novice riders I don’t recommend the IRK. It can be trickier to get it dialled and the bottom end power isn’t really any better than the standard TSP setup.

    can you just add a bit of 2t oil in the tank for safety purposes

    Chuck, I was working on a 2019 300 XCW top end and when assembling the fuel injector wire back on, one of the wire protector sleeve says “Injector 1”. The other one doesn’t say anything on the wiring protector sleeve. Doesn’t seem like it would matter, but can you tell me which side the “injector 1” would go? Would it be right side, or throttle, or left side clutch? Thanks in advance love your vids!!!

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  11 месяцев назад

      You’re right. It doesn’t matter unless you have an injector relocation kit. The injectors take turns firing during low fuel demands and then both fire simultaneously during higher loads.

    • @devodar2579
      @devodar2579 11 месяцев назад

      @@ChuckfromTrueTech thank you so much Chuck! Can you tell me which side you normally see the “Injector One” on? My OCD is telling me to get it back where it was. Thanks again Chuck. I really appreciate your vids and help.

    Hi mate im gavi g problems going through a plug after every ride put new 1 in works for 1 ride then fouls plug
    Do you think it maybe the crank case pressure sensor

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s most likely the crankcase pressure sensor. Swap it with the ambient sensor and see if symptoms change. If they do, replace the sensor.
