Bringing John Marston Back in 1914 | Red Dead Redemption Mods

In this video, I'm going to show you a little bit of what you can do with mods in Red Dead Redemption. I will play as John Marston in 1914, the date when we canonically control adult Jack. Let's see a little about the bodyguard system and walk around Blackwater.

If John didn't die in 1911 he would have lived to see the death of The Old West, SMGs, WW1 and WW2, The Great Depression, and possibly would have been around to see the birth of rock n roll.

John was born in 1873. He would've barely seen the Vietnam War if he lived to his nineties.
Jack on the other hand would've witnessed most of 20th century.

​@@pasha_0791 I'm not sure if you're disagreeing with the OP but in case you are, they aren't necessarily wrong that he could've lived to see all these developments.
John would be in his early 80s during the start of Rock N' Roll, Sputnik launch, the Vietnam War, which if he lived into his 90s/100+, he would've been around through most of it + events like Kennedy's assassination, the Civil Rights movement, Apollo 11's landing, possibly the Watergate Scandal.

I would love to see what John live past 1911 and see what his reaction to WW1 and other 20th century developments. It'd be amusing to see his sarcasm and distrust of the government grow as he gets crankier with age.

I think it'd be nice if there was another cheat that achieved the reverse effect "Oh my son, my blessed son" to switch to John in 1911 after the main story.

There a glitch that is the samething as this as 1: having the jack attack and god mode cheats and 2: jump off a large hill and turn into jack and goes black in a second and turn on god mode cheat at exactly when it goes back and there you go. Some effects will happen during it john having jack voice and john in jack cutscene in remember my family but other side missions will be normal john and voice

@@eneacristi-gj3uj​​⁠​⁠If you have like 10 minutes and own an android then you can possibly run rdr1 through an emulator on your phone with some performance/quality issues, all for free. There’s some tutorials here on YT on how to as well complete guides with links if you search for them on google.

That's actually the best way to experience those two games because it's in chronological order. Although it would probably feel weird to you that the events from RDR2 are never mentioned and neither are the characters that were from the 2nd game. That's the weird thing about prequels.

Only the ones that exist in the game, I mean, the ones that we can officially select for each character.

1. Does spawning John as an NPC also cause the game to crash?
2. Does it say John marston on the map screen? Or still jack?

1- Yes, I believe that because they are playable characters, there is still no way to spawn them without causing problems.
2- When switching to John in 1914, John Marston appeared on the map.

@@user-mi3hp7wm7k Yes. As it is a game only for consoles at the moment, it is more complicated to improve this type of modification, but I would say it is never too late.
