  • Experience how I hear sound - (Wear Headphones for the most accurate representation)
    .
    Hey! So I made this video because I've always struggled to explain why it is I struggle to hear sometimes - I constantly ask people to repeat their phrases or, in some cases, not hearing them speak at all. I thought I'd try to recreate what exactly it is I'm hearing during these times, so you can all experience what it's like!
    .
    I would like to clarify I have not been diagnosed with anything, It could be a very common thing (and that's also why I've made this, I'm curious to hear other peoples experience with hearing), or it could be that I need to get it checked out.
    Either way, I hope you find it interesting, or at the very least, some motivation to maybe turn down the volume a little whenever you're listening to music, aight?
    .
    As mentioned, I do make music which can all be found here:

    And my email;

    Thanks for watching! :D

    Sounds like dehydration. I get it all the time. Usually when I stand up on a hot day. Nothing to worry about.

      Ooh okay, haven't heard dehydration as a possible cause yet - I'll bare that in mind! Thank you :)

    Have you been regulary taking NSAIDs? Inti-inflammatory painkillers like ibuprofen and such. They can after a while, lead to hearing losses like those ones. Where one ear gets muffled and hearing losses with occasional high pitch tinnitus ringing sounds?

      I have not no, although I didn't know that was a possible side effect :P

    Does this happen directly after listening to music at high volume, or just at random times? I'm not an expert but if it happens at random times it could be something other than "normal" temporary deafness (maybe pressure in the ears or something?). Probably worth getting it checked out (and fixed if possible). Hope all goes well! :)

      Hey! It'll happen a lot after a loud time period (buses, busy streets and yes, loud music), but it will also happen even if things are incredibly quiet - essentially it's more likely to happen after a loud event but will also happen at any time :") gonna get it checked out sometime soon! And thank you :)

    never knew you had hearing problems. Maybe Tinitus?

      Possibly, although it's not there always - literally just like 5 minute bursts a couple times a day? It's definitely not as extreme as it could be but it's still definitely there. Planning to get it checked out soon to see if it's anything worth looking out for 😊

      @@TravisTaylorMusicTJT oh, uhh hey! Thanks for reading my comment, it was kind of a throw away, and definitely not as nuonced or as detailed as my usual responses, so let me elaborate. I have occasional tinnitus in my ears, almost always have, and to me, the sonic recreation reminded me heavily of that tennitus. I mean I am not a doctor, so I can't say for certain, but that is what it reminded me of. As for the muffling, I have heard that a build up of earwax can cause muffling, and if you are a musician who uses a lot of iems or earplugs, that could be the case. Fluctuating hearing loss is a complicated subject, and from my research, it can be caused from anything from a cold to verious nerve diseases. I would talk to a doctor if you can, even if it's livable for now so you don't want to put in the time to go to a hearing specialist, that's ok, but at the very least I suggest you bring it up to your general practitioner. Although, if you expirence this muffled sound for more than 2 weeks for more than 30 minutes, you should definitely go see a specialist asap. But despite my personal uninformed opinion, the advice given by medical professionals, especially when the fluctuating hearing loss is sudden, is to vist a doctor or specialist as soon as possible, especially if it hasn't cleared up in one to two weeks. But here are more thoughts on the subject, some from my own experiences and some from research. Sorry that my original post was not up to par, I hope this helps!
