- NCIS season 7, episode 22. Abby/Gibbs ending -- so sad!!
Abby: Hi Gibbs.
Gibbs: Hey Abbs.
Abby: Can I come in?
Gibbs: Yeah, you are already in.
Abby: Allright.
Abby: Okay... What, it was nice talking to you...
Gibbs: Abbs, why are you here?
Abby: You know why I'm here.
Abby: I matched the bullet in Pedro Hernandez's head to your sniper rifle. You killed him. In cold blood. I mean, I know what he did Gibbs, he killed your wife and your daughter...But Gibbs!
Gibbs: I know.
Abby:Gibbs doesnt do things like that, o-o-or does he? Now I dont know. I dont know anything. The only thing that I do know is that I didnt find this out by accident.
Gibbs: Rule 40.
Abby: It seems like someone is out to get you, they are. You have no idea how much I wish it was yesterday. Maybe if I can just close my eyes and open them againit will be. Do you realize the situation that Im in now?
Gibbs: Yeah, I know.
Abby: Do you understand the choice I have to make now?
Gibbs: I know.
Abby: Stop saying I know!
Gibbs: What do you want me to say?
Abby: Tell me that Im wrong! Tell me that I made a mistake
with the ballistics or
Gibbs: No. No, I cant say that.
Abby: Then tell me how much Ive been like a daughter to you, and how much you love me...
Gibbs: Will that help?
Abby: No... what I really need to know, Gibbs, is if youre gonna love me.. no matter what.

Okay, peoples. Even Pauley says that Abby sees Gibbs as a father figure since Abby's own father passed away a long time ago. I definitely see them in a more father/daughter relationship than a romantic one. Abby is too young for Gibbs even though she may date older guys, but when the actress herself says that Abby views Gibbs as a father you just gotta go with it! Great video and I wish they didn't stop the scene there.

@@rachelwinters3313 Pauley said something about being scared of Harmon and she was physically assaulted. She also said that he brought a dog on set that bit a coworker who needed 15 stitches and then continued to bring the dog on set, Pauley said that she has nightmares about Harmon attacking her and she will never return to set, I just looked this up because I was confused as well, still am

At the time of filming that scene sometime in 2008/9 they were on good terms, the dog incident was in 2016 and that's when their decent relationship went to shit

Why are people so obbessed with shipping characters.It makes them miss out on what is clearly a beautiful father/daughter relartionship..... it makes me feel really sick to think of them like a couple.It feels like incest.
As far as age goes it really isn't relevant in romance nor should an age gap be a reason for not putting 2 people together,in the case of gibbs & abby a father/daughter relationship was established early on

true gibbs and abby have an amazing father/daughter relationship that's shown in more episodes than not... gibbs does in alot of episodes think of ziva and even kate when she was alive as his daughters he never had but he has a special connection to abby and is always looking out for her and is very protective of her, not to mention abby is pretty much the only one to back talk to gibbs and not get slapped in the back of the head

It was in cold blood. Gibbs buried Shannon and Kelly, went to work for NIS, saw the killer's information, planned the murder and executed it. That's textbook cold blood. Revenge was the motivation, but that's a different thing.
When I saw this episode, I was so angry at how they all reacted. Hernandez killed Shannon and Kelly, because Shannon saw him shoot a Marine. Gibbs lost everything when they died - how could no one understand that?

yeah me too! ...it was so sad..but at the same time somehow addicting. I was kinda angry that it ended before Gibbs had a chance to tell her he loved her :(

I never understood why this Pedro guy killed shannon and Kelly. Did he want to get his ass kicked? I mean, he should've known Gibbs was going to find him. Nothing gets past Gibbs. Anyway, I love Gibbs and Abby's chemistry it's just heartwarming
If I remember correctly Pedro was part of a gang in the area and Shannon and Kelly were witnesses to something he or the gang did, so the put a hit on them but Gibbs was overseas on a mission so he was told about it after.

But I think that only happened cause he took way too long without making a move on her, so she found another explanation for his overprotectiveness... makes sense in the context of this episode, ie, Abby found out about Gibbs killed Kelly and Shannon’s murderer.

Beth schneider yeah, no. Let’s take a short overview of their relationship in the first 7 seasons. First things first, they flirt, and flirt a lot. This is only toned down after season 5. In season 6, episode south by southwest, you have a very interesting comparison between agent Patterson and Gibbs. In season 7, we’re introduced to a red head called Abby (agent Borin), who Gibbs is not interested in, and he flat out refuses to call her Abby since there’s only one Abby in his life, and to M. Allison Hart, the lawyer Gibbs has a lot of ust with the whole season, who is black-haired and green-eyed, like our favourite forensic scientist. And then we have this scene. At this point, we can consider that Gibbs and Abby know each other for a decade. That’s a long time to wait for someone to make a move. Gibbs has always been overprotective of Abby. Since the whole team found out about Shannon and Kelly at the end of season 3, she reasons that’s the reason for his overprotectiveness. Now, she just found out he killed their murderer. She either has to turn in Gibbs or sweep the findings under the rug. That’s a difficult choice. So she tries to understand how Gibbs sees her, at least. It’s been a decade. She needs closure, one way or another, before she loses him. So she fishes for information, as is her modus operandi (other example is 4x05). Would that help? No. Gibbs being Gibbs, and also being in this position, doesn’t clear the misunderstanding, and never brings this up again.

Why?
This episode would have been the perfect time for these two to at least kiss on the mouth. Next time Gibbs goes in for a kiss on Abby's cheek, I would love for her to purposely turn her head and kiss Gibbs on the mouth! He does not look on her a a daughter (as some want to believe) but has the hots for her; that's why he's always kissing her.
