She also said that he brought a dog on set that bit a coworker who needed 15 stitches and then continued to bring the dog on set, Pauley said that she has nightmares about Harmon attacking her and she will never return to set, I just looked this up because I was confused as well, still am

Nah, not for something as serious as this. I could actually see Tony or McGee yell at Gibbs, and he would be okay with it.

But I think that only happened cause he took way too long without making a move on her, so she found another explanation for his overprotectiveness... makes sense in the context of this episode, ie, Abby found out about Gibbs killed Kelly and Shannon’s murderer.

@@Ryookenfor clarification the dog never bit her it bit someone on set she thought it wasn’t safe there anymore because of the dog being there

Robert Erlandson Hmmmm Your opinion not everyone else's, not to mention most age gap relationships don't work. So it is a relevant thing when considering putting people together especially romance wise.

true gibbs and abby have an amazing father/daughter relationship that's shown in more episodes than not... gibbs does in alot of episodes think of ziva and even kate when she was alive as his daughters he never had but he has a special connection to abby and is always looking out for her and is very protective of her, not to mention abby is pretty much the only one to back talk to gibbs and not get slapped in the back of the head

Beth schneider yeah, no. Let’s take a short overview of their relationship in the first 7 seasons. First things first, they flirt, and flirt a lot. This is only toned down after season 5. In season 6, episode south by southwest, you have a very interesting comparison between agent Patterson and Gibbs. In season 7, we’re introduced to a red head called Abby (agent Borin), who Gibbs is not interested in, and he flat out refuses to call her Abby since there’s only one Abby in his life, and to M. Allison Hart, the lawyer Gibbs has a lot of ust with the whole season, who is black-haired and green-eyed, like our favourite forensic scientist. And then we have this scene. At this point, we can consider that Gibbs and Abby know each other for a decade. That’s a long time to wait for someone to make a move. Gibbs has always been overprotective of Abby. Since the whole team found out about Shannon and Kelly at the end of season 3, she reasons that’s the reason for his overprotectiveness. Now, she just found out he killed their murderer. She either has to turn in Gibbs or sweep the findings under the rug. That’s a difficult choice. So she tries to understand how Gibbs sees her, at least. It’s been a decade. She needs closure, one way or another, before she loses him. So she fishes for information, as is her modus operandi (other example is 4x05). Would that help? No. Gibbs being Gibbs, and also being in this position, doesn’t clear the misunderstanding, and never brings this up again.

If I remember correctly Pedro was part of a gang in the area and Shannon and Kelly were witnesses to something he or the gang did, so the put a hit on them but Gibbs was overseas on a mission so he was told about it after.
