I just find it odd RUclips doesn’t have a dedicated page to categories for live streams. I get for RUclips people usually search but the magic of twitch is sometimes stumbling into a live stream
For this big a platform there should be a way to discover streams.

I wonder if you've found a way to filter/search for upcoming livestreams? That's what I'd really like to do, however I don't think RUclips has this functionality. (Specifically search for a few keyword, then show all livestreams to come on that topic for the next week for instance)
Otherwise it means we're quite likely to miss the livestreams we're most interested in. (I appreciate our subs showing when they go live helps, however this limits us from finding new channels)

That's a good idea. I don't think there is a way to search for them in particular. If you checkout the RUclips live page you can see some upcoming live streams there but they are usually larger channels. Thanks for watching!
@@ScottDawson Yeah, RUclips's been funneling everyone to the larger channels for a while now. I understand why they do it as the content on more established channels is probably more consistent / easier to sell to advertisers, however it seriously stifles the creativity / opportunity for new creators. Thanks for the video. I'm trying to find musicians who are streaming live on RUclips. When I used the filter all I found were radio stations and other streaming music services but no actual live musicians. Any suggestion swill be appreciated.

If you are using Firefox with a high speed connection, you can use the picture-in-picture function and line up more than one feed to watch simultaneously. Also the video doesn't have to necessarily be from RUclips.

how do i know when a channel im subscribed to will be going on live .I always miss it and was hoping to ask a question

You can search for live streams but the most visits I have found are from subscribers that were notified.

the issue i have when live streaming is AFTERWARDS..RUclips should keep your live streams with your normal uploads. Instead they make you hunt for them.SO if i cant just see them in my content,how can other people?
Set them into a playlist to display on your channel page.

Wait... so you can't actually search live streams by categories? I'm trying to find a certain game, and who is streaming live. This isn't a feature of RUclips? Or if I want to start streaming, I just have to be lucky that someone is going to stumble across mine?

They should just copy Twitch. Make a youtube live tab only for live streams, sort by game and/or country.
I don't see a Live stream button on the left like I can see on your screen. Hmmm!
I don't want to live a video but I want to comment on someone when they live their videos but I don't know when they are on live.............that is the point..........so how am I know when they are on live so I can comment their video or chat on their box???

On the iPad app, go to home and the buttons are up the top horizontally…..click the live button

How to see like the old stream / stream that already eneded but we want to watch it, like vod with twitch😭
The live stream will show up on the channel. Unless the streamer deletes it.

The method I use is type a vowel into search, then filter to "live", and optionally by view count.

Not all live streams allow people to comment. Sometimes the streamer has them turned off.
Search, click filter "live".
