Both are great in their own way but Elixir is defo creamier and more strawberry forward. You get more of the fruits coming thru with og Her. And it's not strawberry but the Her EDT is good also- crisp pear, think GIAW vibes. I just love most Burberry fragrances

My fave strawberry scent is Michel Germaine Sugarful, the original in the pink bottle. Full on strawberry cotton candy. A sweet strawberry bomb. No complexity, nothing unique. But if you want strawberry and you don't want to mess around, that one is IT. Not powdery like Aqualina or Melanie Martinez Cry Baby, not quite as smooth as B&BW Strawberry Pound Cake with the touch of vanilla, not floral or syrupy or too dense or sickly but definitely sweet sweet strawberry, as intense and pronounced as a strawberry could possibly be.
My favorite strawberry perfume is Kate Spade New York EDP - It's like fresh strawberries being picked in a field surrounded by lemon trees and fresh greenery - but still has that perfumy feel. It's DELICIOUS for spring and summer!
I just bought this one thinking it would smell like strawberries, but I don't get those notes at all. It really just reminds me of cheap shower gel, and I was sooooo sad :( . I will agree that it's very spring/summer, though. It's good, but def not strawberries.
Unfortunately Burberry Her the OG did not win me over but the Elixir is one I recently picked up after getting a sniff and wear at Sephora during the VIB sale, it’s a whole different experience it’s a more Creamy Strawberry 🍓 reminds me of a strawberry milkshake or a strawberries and cream dessert but in a very wearable beautiful and elegant way….this one is for the more Gourmand lovers for it is way more creamy, richer and sweeter than the OG

Loved the video! Its SO HARD to find a good strawberry perfume. Its trending rn, but its not a common note for sure. Its also really hard to accurately capture the scent. I feel the same way about osmanthus notes.
You might like Fraaagola Saalaaata by Hilde Soliani. I bought on Lucky Scent. No actual leaf notes in it, it's strawberry and salt. The strawberry is realistic, not artificial or sweet (similar to M&G), and the salt note comes off almost leafy. The salt adds almost a marine or aquatic note so the strawberry smells almost wet.
The phlur strawberry letter may be your fav as well! It kind of gives off strawberry and earthy girl vibes. Like walking in a farmers market where they’re selling strawberries, handmade soaps, and a little bit of incense. It kind of gives off that vibe! 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
for a better price point if you can find it if you’re located near a TJMaxx/Marshall’s, I’d recommend Strawberry Icing from Tru Fragrances! unlike the name, it’s a veryyyy garden-y strawberry. I typically like a gourmand strawberry scent but this one is nice when I want something a little more earthy! when I smell it, I literally think strawberry with the green stem attached

Burberry her is my signature scent! lol I used to only wear Versace bright crystal but I’ve moved more towards Burberry her as my adult working woman scent!
So, because I am a Fraser and the name comes from Strawberry 🍓 (fraise) it is a favoured flavour. It is not always a favourite fragrance note. Even natural strawberries have a “must” that isn’t always pleasant. I want to get my nose on the Anna Sui fragrance. If I had to pick one strawberry forward fragrance I own. I would pick Cape Heartache.
Some other strawberry related perfumes you should try are Stephane Humbert lucas venom incarnat,profumo di firenze buontalenti,dior rouge trafalgar,profumum roma anniversaro and byron mula mula.also attar hayati is a berry gourmand scent.😊🍓🍓
I just picked up Fraise Fouette over the weekend and really like it. I get the strawberry ice cream scent on my skin, not the powderiness (thank goodness! I am not a fan of powderiness. That's what kills Boardwalk Delight for me. 😢). Interestingly, I love FF and can't stand B&BW's Strawberry Pound Cake. It gets so sour milk on my skin. I do love Strawberry Snowflakes though. I am definitely going to have to check out that Violet Vibe. It sounds right up my alley! What do you think of B&BW's Gingham Gorgeous? I love the strawberry in that one, but think the rest of it is a little much. I wish it was more focused on the strawberry. Thanks for the video!
i love the bbw strawberry hand sanitizer too… talking about how you perceive scents and palette changing, wait til perimenopause/menopause starts. i have unopened bottles of former faves just collecting dust. i love berry scents, but am ridiculously picky now. i do prefer Her EDT over the other intensities.
I agree with phlur strawberry letter not being a love. I’m not quite sure what it is, but I’m not impressed.. I think when someone said it reminded them of picking strawberries and I jumped at it, but I think it’s too synthetically sweet for me? I don’t wear it as much as I thought I would but I don’t want it to go to waste so I layer it with my other perfumes. Also, love the strawberry nails while talking about strawberry perfumes ❤

Had I smelled it in person, I would have known it’s not for me… but now I have to struggle to wear it to my husband doesn’t scold me for spending $ on something that I didn’t end up liking lol

My nose is probably messed up from sinus issues but I gave the Fraise Fouettee to my daughter. I tried to love it but I kept getting strawberry incense or tree car air freshener. SadlyI just couldn’t get it to work for me. My daughter loves it so not a waste at least
the only strawberry leaning fragrance I have is a sample of Melanie Martinez Cry Baby Perfume Milk; I've had it for 4 years and I'm scared to used it but also worried it'll go rancid; I CAN NOT afford a full bottle because it's a discontinued fragrance and scalpers are charging literal THOUSANDS for it. I wanted *SO* bad to love B&BW Strawberry Poundcake but it smelled like those hard candies that are wrapped in that wrapper that looks like a strawberry. Pink Sugar smelt burnt to me and gives cheap str!pper vibes. I wanted to love it because it was so hyped up but...it just smells like a str!pper went to a gas station an got a cheapo perfume oil

Have to recommend where the wild things grow by Sorcellerie Apocathery! She used to have two versions, but the one that made it into her permanent collection almost smells like a strawberry cream soda, minus the syrupy-ness. Sorcellerie is a great house to try if you want to get into indies!
I think Fraise fouettee smells like strawberry Yoplait. I'm surprised you didn't mention Burberry Her Elixir Lauren! Strawberry pound cake is so good! The body shops (rip 😢) strawberry is pretty good also.
I got a sample of Strawberry from Malin & Goetz, but I barely smelled anything! I like the strawberry trend, but I think in perfume it's not for me. I haven't found one I love, yet. Same thing with cherry: I thought that would be totally for me, but it turns out, it probably is not.

I actually thought I like strawberry note in perfume too, but after a bunch of unsuccessful blind buy I don’t think I like strawberry perfume. There is only 2 that I like sphinx strawberry sugar high but it’s smell very close to LDBS by kilian. I actually don’t like strawberry kiss from them 🤣Strawberry by malin and goetz but I never tried the oil and after seing your video I never will because I don’t want to ruin it for me. I also like pink sugar red velvet but I feel it’s more a cakey sugary bomb than a strawberry focus fragrance lol
Unfortunately the formulations of nearly all the Malin + Goetz rollerball perfumes are BAD! I even brought it up to an associate in the store and she agreed. You are way better off with the 2ml sprayer and obvious full sized with atomizer to get the accurate note breakdown. Love love Strawberry from them though
So basically there’s no good strawberry perfume in this whole video except the Bath and Body works spray. 😂 I would’ve liked if the strawberry body spray had more Of that bubbly top note on first spray almost like a strawberry soda, but instead you get that really sickly sweet musky dry down. At least that what I smell with the body lotion. I haven’t bought the spray because of that sickly sweet dry down which can be too much in hot humid weather here where I live in Houston.

I've had the opposite experience with Burberry Her. When i first smelled it a few years back, i really really liked it, ended up buying a little 1 ounce bottle but the more i wore it, the more i got that sharp scent on my skin. It might just be the way it mixes with my body chemistry but i just really started to dislike the scent. I eventually passed it on to my sister who loves it but yeah, funny how that works ^^
I moved from LA to Washington and when you were describing Cape Heartache, I immediately thought it sounded like you were describing western Washington, so yes Twilight haha.
The sphinx brand has been so frustrating and such a let down! I have tried their horchata de vanille and their pistachio one too and they were both major cinnamon bombs! Hearing you say that you get that same spicy note in all the ones you have tried has just validated my thoughts. They need to put the cinnamon down! 😫
I wore Daisy for soooo long when I was younger and I never knew there was a strawberry note!! Also strawberry pound cake is one of my favorite candles from babw, the introduction of cherry blossom pound cake however has given it a run for its money
Have you tried montale mukhallat? Its the most potent artificial strawberry ive ever smelt but i was obsessed with it when i first got my nose on it. My nephew said i smelt like strawberry scented air freshener 😂
It’s funny that you’re saying this because I blind bought this as well as soon as it came back in stock and I ended up sending it back. I just did not love it. I actually didn’t even really like it. It’s not sweet at all and it has weird notes in it.
Like two months ago I went to one of those "make your own perfume" type things and I made a strawberry perfume! Well, not entirely, but it has strawberry in it 😂 It was meant to be vanilla ice cream, rhubarb, strawberries, basil and olive oil, however the fruits just kind of melted into a "compote" vibe, neither is distinct, but still it's interesting and I like it. Other than that I also have a decant of Chantilly from Gritti but the strawberry there sits right next to a melon and it gets very watery.
Oh, also Dolce Passione from Pantheon Roma had Strawberry in it, but it's not super prominent, it just gives this fresher fruity background to the sophisticated chocolate (it's a REALLY GOOD chocolate fragrance, but definitely not for summer)

I don’t get dirt at all from strawberry letter. To me, it’s a jammy strawberry that’s also got a bit of a powdery quality. I really like it!

I wanted *SO* bad to love B&BW Strawberry Poundcake but it smelled like those hard candies that are wrapped in that wrapper that looks like a strawberry. Pink Sugar smelt burnt to me and gives cheap str!pper vibes. I wanted to love it because it was so hyped up but...it just smells like a str!pper went to a gas station an got a cheapo perfume oil

“Praise the Perfume” is a strawberry lactonic from Oakcha. It’s a knock-off of Cry Baby and makes me think of a sexy strawberry milkshake.
Have to recommend where the wild things grow by Sorcellerie Apocathery! She used to have two versions, but the one that made it into her permanent collection almost smells like a strawberry cream soda, minus the syrupy-ness. Sorcellerie is a great house to try if you want to get into indies!

I think Fraise fouettee smells like strawberry Yoplait. I'm surprised you didn't mention Burberry Her Elixir Lauren! Strawberry pound cake is so good! The body shops (rip 😢) strawberry is pretty good also.
I got a sample of Strawberry from Malin & Goetz, but I barely smelled anything! I like the strawberry trend, but I think in perfume it's not for me. I haven't found one I love, yet. Same thing with cherry: I thought that would be totally for me, but it turns out, it probably is not.

I personally don’t like it that much but I swear every time I wear it everyone is always like “you smell good” of course it’s always the fragrances you don’t really like 😂😒
I actually thought I like strawberry note in perfume too, but after a bunch of unsuccessful blind buy I don’t think I like strawberry perfume. There is only 2 that I like sphinx strawberry sugar high but it’s smell very close to LDBS by kilian. I actually don’t like strawberry kiss from them 🤣Strawberry by malin and goetz but I never tried the oil and after seing your video I never will because I don’t want to ruin it for me. I also like pink sugar red velvet but I feel it’s more a cakey sugary bomb than a strawberry focus fragrance lol

Unfortunately the formulations of nearly all the Malin + Goetz rollerball perfumes are BAD! I even brought it up to an associate in the store and she agreed. You are way better off with the 2ml sprayer and obvious full sized with atomizer to get the accurate note breakdown. Love love Strawberry from them though

Of that bubbly top note on first spray almost like a strawberry soda, but instead you get that really sickly sweet musky dry down. At least that what I smell with the body lotion. I haven’t bought the spray because of that sickly sweet dry down which can be too much in hot humid weather here where I live in Houston.

Strawberry letter was disappointing to me 🙃 I was actually hoping for fruity strawberry or candy strawberry and instead got strawberry cologne lol. So powdery and earthy.
Bath and Body Works had one called bourbon something and strawberry. Such an odd combination, and it had no depth.
I've had the opposite experience with Burberry Her. When i first smelled it a few years back, i really really liked it, ended up buying a little 1 ounce bottle but the more i wore it, the more i got that sharp scent on my skin. It might just be the way it mixes with my body chemistry but i just really started to dislike the scent. I eventually passed it on to my sister who loves it but yeah, funny how that works ^^

The sphinx brand has been so frustrating and such a let down! I have tried their horchata de vanille and their pistachio one too and they were both major cinnamon bombs! Hearing you say that you get that same spicy note in all the ones you have tried has just validated my thoughts. They need to put the cinnamon down! 😫

Like two months ago I went to one of those "make your own perfume" type things and I made a strawberry perfume! Well, not entirely, but it has strawberry in it 😂 It was meant to be vanilla ice cream, rhubarb, strawberries, basil and olive oil, however the fruits just kind of melted into a "compote" vibe, neither is distinct, but still it's interesting and I like it. Other than that I also have a decant of Chantilly from Gritti but the strawberry there sits right next to a melon and it gets very watery.
Oh, also Dolce Passione from Pantheon Roma had Strawberry in it, but it's not super prominent, it just gives this fresher fruity background to the sophisticated chocolate (it's a REALLY GOOD chocolate fragrance, but definitely not for summer)
