Loved learning your origin story! Thanks for sharing. I am fly by the seat of your pants type and dived into the reselling world. It has been a humbling learning curve but really grateful for the freedom it gives - especially for the personality types that don't do well with disconnect from management types that shape your work environment in ways that really clash. I, too value maintaining one's mental health as much as possible and sometimes that means making leap of faith changes in ones life.
I agree lady. Everyone should work a customer service job/ retail at some point to see the behind the scenes. Great content!! You took the right path to be independent with your own business. 😊
Loved this video! I enjoyed hearing about your journey into full-time reselling. Totally agree with you on everyone working in the service industry. The world would be a kinder place! I think you gave really sage advice about considering full-time reselling. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! New subscriber here :) It's cool to see someone following a similar path as mine and knowing that things are going well a year later! (Congratulations!!) I'm only a month and a half into my reselling and RUclips journey and I'm excited to see where I am in a year. Thanks for the great content!
Thank you for the video and your background. I think a lot of people start with thinking that they’re going to make all kind of money lol! It does take a lot of work. I’m actually a pharmacist full-time and work from home but I have a schedule now where I’m seven on seven off. I still have a hard time listing consistently! I think that is something else that people don’t realize how much work it actually takes in order to get a full-time income out of it or even part-time. Great advice I wish I could save money like you.
@Angeladj16 I so agree with the misconception that you'll make a bunch of money right away. If it truly was that easy, everyone would be doing it and being successful. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Great video Mandy!! Thanks for sharing your experience!! I also watched tons of RUclips reselling content as I started out while still employed as an educator. It’s really interesting how similarly we approached the process of learning/growing/moving to full time reseller! Though I realize I benefit greatly by having insurance from my wife’s job. Keep up the good work!!!
You are quite smart with your decisions. I really enjoyed hearing about your journey. It probably helps that you live in an area that doesn't have sky high cost of living, like where I live in Southern CA! I am lucky to have a husband to support me so I don't have to pay many bills but my daughter and I are doing this so she can have more income. She does different gigs but nothing full time because of her health. We first started reselling in 2012 and it was easy back then....just put things up and they would sell....no offers, no sales, no cross-posting. Now it is a real challenge to make less than half of what we were making back then....too many people are doing this. I keep looking for ideas to help us increase because I still enjoy doing it!
4:46 One time in my life I worked for almost 2 years in a cubicle and I swear my soul was dying on that job. 😱 it was the best job I ever had and the worst job I ever had. There was no reason to talk to anybody all day long. It was nothing but numbers all day long. I was so miserable and that is actually when I quit to do eBay full-time back in 2012 I started eBay but I did not go full-time till 2014 when I quit that job.
Hi! Love your video! I subbed..do you mind sharing how much your health insurance was and what insurance? That is the only think keeping me from working for myself and resellers don’t talk about it or I can’t find any videos about it? I left (retired) from my toxic, corporate job after 20 years and immediately got a school-bus route..the insurance is stellar and cheap, but it’s really hard work!..some days..I don’t know lol..I’m too old for this I think😂😳😂😂😂..Thank you!
Hey! I would suggest speaking with an insurance agent. There are so many variables for price (age, dependents, household size, income levels, state, health conditions, deductibles, etc) I went on the marketplace (Obamacare) and looked at some of the options and ended up calling an agent. You are able to get tax credits if you are within certain income levels. I believe mine without any credits is close to $200 a month with average coverage and I believe $7500 deductible and that's just to cover me.

I wish I could be a little more spontaneous with choices. Seems like it could be really freeing. I am glad you are enjoying it so far! 😀

Thank you!

@BamaJaybirdResell Thanks! We both must not be too spontaneous when it comes to big life decisions. 😄

I agree, cost of living is pretty low here. I couldn't imagine somewhere like CA. That's nice that you sell with your daughter.
Love this video ❤ Mandy!!!!
Thank you! 😊
Love this Video! You are so wise for your age! Regards from Switzerland
Thanks so much! 😊

So what's wrong with doing a emo or metal type packaging design for cheese? 😂
Haha it would definitely stand out at the store. 😁
I'm at half vodeo and still you did not get to the topic ....
Did you miss the beginning where I said it was going to be chatty?
