Had the privilege of training with Jane when she came too the school I was working at, we worked with Kids with emotional issues and Jane was brilliant with all of them, absolutely love her.
She should have a movie made about her boxing career and legal fight to allow females too compete at a professional level, The modern crop of female boxers have this brave woman too thank, She is an icon and worthy of being on the big screen,
Who would you pick too play her in a movie ?

*Ironic that you have someone like Anna Woolhouse presenting Toe2Toe - similar to that other woman in the past - who know nothing about the art of boxing; why not get someone like Jane Couch presenting instead? Someone who actually knows what they're talking about? ~*

Good luck Jane, heard you’re story on tris Dixon’s podcast boxing life stories and I thought you came across brilliant. Personally I think toe 2 toe podcast has lost its way but hopefully you get the support and publicity you need.

I used to absolutely love watching Jane's fights. She got got into so many brawls, took a few too many punches, but gave out even more. She was just so tough and durable, drawing heavily on the fact that invariably she possessed too much physical strength for the vast majority of her opponents. She was able to march forward and through their defences and wore them down with her toughness and strength.
A peak Jane against Katie Taylor would be an incredible contest, and genuinely hard to pick a winner. Katie is for me by far the the better and more accomplished boxer of the two, being a better mover, puncher, quicker hands and feet; and showed during her last fight just how tough she is. Jane is probably even tougher still though, and most likely too durable and strong for Katie to stop in my view. Alhough being so immensely strong with a granite chin, Jane could be fallible, especially towards the end of her career when she fought on into her forties. It would be an absolute war though that much is certain, and Katie would find herself forced to fight almost every second of every round. I also question whether Jane could stop Katie, as Katie is one tough cookie herself. Yes, Jane would definitely manage to drag her into the trenches, and increasingly so the longer the fight went on, and Jane counts on that as she is confident that her toughness would end up being too much for fighters with more talent than her to live with. Although Katie would at times most likely struggle with the physical strength of Jane, it would probably not be on the same level of gruelling or anywhere near as relentless as Katie's fight with Delfine Persoon. Whereas after viewing Jane's fights over the years, and many of Delfine's, I suspect that Jane and Define whereas being quite closely matched in terms of their immense physical strength and all round toughness, Jane is a wee bit shorter than the wider framed and longer armed Delfine, who possesses more ranginess, sheer relentlessness, quicker and heavy handedness, a briader array of punches and deceptively quick footwork. Given these differences, I suspect that although giving a good account of herself and maybe even managing to hang in there, that ultimately Jane would drop a unanimous decision to the far busier and harder punching Delfine. That is no slight on Jane in the slightest, as I see Delfine as being the best female boxer of all time, and Jane definitely deserves mention in the same breath.
Against Katie, Jane's best chance would be to wear her down so much that she is no longer able to live with being pressured by Jane's strength, and force a stoppage. Jane at her best may be capable of this, but looking at things logically and as objectively as I can, for I used to admire and love Jane so much as a boxer, and now do so for her intelligent insights, pioneering activism for women's boxing and as the most wonderful person, I suspect that Katie would most likely build up a decisive points lead over Jane, and then in the championship rounds, if she could survive being physically bullied by Jane and mauled and thrown about like a rag doll for the last three or four rounds, I could see her winning on points. My specific prediction is that Katie would win a tight majority decision, but she would in all probability have to endure an incredibly tough and even damaging night's work to get this. Jane against Delfine would also be incredible, and their respective all action styles would definitely gell, but for me that one is easier to call, and I see a tough but clear unanimous decision victory for Delfine, or maybe even a stoppage win. Jane was never in boring fights, and was hard as nails. If she had of been around now, there is little doubt that that a Katie Taylor rivalry would be exciting the boxing public, and if they had multiple fights, we may see the title chopping and changing between them. Jane so deserves that kind of recognition and financial rewards, as her fights in and out of the ring were so incredibly tough, and by buying her book, I can at least support her in a tiny way. Jane is simply wonderful.

I used to go and see Jane fight at Whitchurch sports centre back in the day. What a pioneer. And how ironic that Maloney, one of the big promoters who prevented women boxing professionally, is now in Womanface himself.

Trailblazer indeed - and Couch coud FIGHT! Some stick for Woolhouse here but in fairness she always seems to know her stuff. The same can't be said for all presenters - so there should be a place for Couch as a broadcaster somewhere [check Parker - Chisora face-to-face on Matchroom - would have been much better with Couch].
