I used the 14" for the first time just this month on an adjustable frame. I usually use 9" or 12". 18" is just too heavy for ceilings except for back rolling after spray. The 14 got a little heavy with the pole extended but it covered fast enough to make it worth it. The 14" roller cover with the Big Ben tray is an excellent combination.

@@david7101 Hi sorry I missed your message yes you can use a 18 ona 14 inch frame.You will need an end cap which they sell at the paint store.
