In this video, I’m diving into Fallout Episode 2 the highly anticipated TV series based on the iconic video game! I had NO idea what to expect, but this episode completely took me by surprise. From the world-building to the shocking twists, Fallout is off to an incredible start!

Yes, The Ghoul uses the dog to find Wilzig, but you do see him smile when he revives her after the stimpak . . .
IMO the series underlying theme is Wilzigs statement "Will you still want the same things when you become a different animal altogether?"
The giant bag Max carries is IMO a nod to the in game habit of giving all your excess inventory to your companion.
"its an act of bravery" Titus runs away. Always best to threaten your Squire.
Why does Wilzig and Lucy keep meeting? Well the first time was probably because he saw her fire and went to look, the second time because he was already going to Filly which is a large settlement.
When Ma-june says to the Ghoul "his kind" she means Ghouls, he is not the only one, there many Ghouls. Ghouls are tough, can heal and are very long lived.
Also keep in mind game logic, the Ghoul is a max level character with a lot of hit points.
Keep in mind that Vault-tecs most humane product was Banana flavored cyanide.
Max was probably not trained to use the suit, squires are cannon fodder for the knights.

I am a long time fan of the games since the first one in 1997 and i think the show has done an amazing job of feeling lik the game universe. A few things to keep note of:
1. The TV series isnt the story of any particular game but it is set in the same universe as them. As such these are all brand new characters. It is after all of them in the timeline (except for coops flashbacks which was before all of them) in the timeline. It is set on the west coast like fallout, 1, 2, and New Vegas were, where 3 and 4 were set in the east coast.
2. Fallout is an alternate history series in which music, fashion, etc, stagnated in 50s style even in 2077. In this alternate history the integrated circuit was not developed until shortly before the war, so electronics are big and bulky, but nuclear technology advanced much beyond what we have now and they have nuclear powered cars and even i think even the pip-boys (giant smart watch type things the vault dwellers wear) are nuclear powered. There was a great resource war as every country was fighting over all the oil and uranium they could find. The USA's main rival in this war was China, who even invaded alaska at point. In 2077, the war turned nuclear but no one knows who launched first.
3. The games are very satirical, criticizing the human condition and need for powet and control. The series tagline is "war, war never changes". It has a lot of dark humor.
4. Video game logic shows up in the show, like stimpacks healing wounds miraculously, though if mo jones had a stimpack the ghoul used on the dog, why didnt she use it on wilzig to stop the bleeding after giving him a new leg? Thats just a little nitpick of mine in an otherwise awesome show.
5. Ghouls are caused by a mutation a very small percentage of the population has when exposed to a high dose of radiation. It gives them a long life and toughens them and allows them to heal from radiation, but, it leaves them looking like coop with skin all wrinkled and stuff. Also, as they mentioned in episode 1, its possible for ghouls to "turn ferral" basically turning into mindless violent zombies. Noone knows what causes it and it can happen at any time.
Its always great seeing new people react to the fallout universe. Enjoy the ride

The precision shooting by the Ghoul is also a feature in the game. It's called VATS. VaultTec Assisted Targeting System. Wouldn't be surprised if he has some connection to VaultTec or other pre-war entities that would explain his skill.

his connection with VaultTec (the main villain faction in the show) and why he didn't play along will be soon explained in the show.
I figured that since he was a real-life cowboy before even the other thing, his skill would have already been pretty good, plus 219 years in the wasteland probably leveled that quite a bit.
Marley, I am truly glad to see you are enjoying this series. I am an original Fallout player from the 90s, played Fallout 1 and 2 on the PC along with Fallout 3 Fallout New Vegas Fallout 4. I even played the non-canon games Brotherhood of Steel on the PlayStation 2. You'll find that it is an alternative version of History where American history actually the whole world's history diverged after World War II. The ghoul is actually my favorite character, actually the ghouls are mutated humans who have survived a tremendous influx of radiation to their bodies. They enjoy some natural advantages such as beibg very long lived, being immune to all radiation and they're actually healed by it. I've played Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4 (my favorite), and Fallout 3 (in that order). When this series came out, I went back to Fallout 4 and put Lucy appearance presets into my character and renamed her Lucy. Modders (people who provide modifications to computer games) have made Vault 33 jumpsuits and backpacks, so I can now play as Lucy in the game, although I am rather vicious with a sniper rifle and SMG (hehe) . . .

"The Enclave" is the most mysterious, high tech, ruthless, feared, murderous faction & were the main enemies in Fallout 2 & 3
Wilzig worked for them, but like some, he defected. The Enclave leaders tend to be evil SOBs, but the ordinary folk sometimes disagree and flee
they do make a comeback in Fallout 4 but not as the main enemy.

Lucy, Maximus, The Ghoul. Homage to "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". (not a spoiler) There is a scene later that is almost an exact reproduction of a scene from that movie.
The world is built around the game, so go into it like that. My question is, do your family have light blue eyes like you?

I would avoid long tv series as they put pressure on you to continue them..some last for years .Its better to do movies .People who do reaction have told me this.But its your decision..

Nothing wrong with doing TV series. The only problem is when reactors drop them after a while. Besides, we don't know how long the Fallout series is going to be . . .
