- Here are the fastest Railways system in Southeast Asia which are under construction.
PNR NCSR fast Express Train
PNR North-South Commuter Railway is envisioned as a 163-kilometer sub-urban railway network. Connecting, the regional business districts in Clark and New Clark City in the North, passing through central Manila to Calamba City in Laguna Province, south of the Capital.
A notable feature of NSCR will be the first airport rail shuttle in the Philippines. This Airport Express service will reduce the journey time between Clark International Airport in Pampanga and Makati City, the central business district in the capital, to less than an hour, compared to at least 2 hours by car at present.
NSCR’s technical parameters envisage a maximum operating speed of 120km per hour for the commuter trains, and 160 kilometers per hour for the Airport express and semi-fast services trains.
East Coast Rail Link, Malaysia.
The 665-kilometer under-construction railway infrastructure project connects from the Northeast City of Kota Bharu to the West Port on the strait of Malacca of Peninsular Malaysia.
With 5 spur lines, it provides 20 stations, comprising 14 passenger stations, 5 combined passenger and freight stations, and 1 freight station. The line will take 4 hours from Kota Bharu to Putrajaya.
The electric-powered trains will feature 6 cars for every train set, with a capacity of 440 passengers, a maximum operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour for passenger trains, and 80 kilometers per hour for freight trains.
Northeastern High-Speed Rail project, Phase 1 Thailand.
The project is also referred to as the China-Thailand Railway project, in reference to being built in partnership with Chinese companies, China Railway International and China Railway Design Corporation.
The Project spanning a 252-kilometer leg which consists of 5 stations from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima is scheduled to be operational by 2028.
This will take form of the first of the 2 phases of the high-speed rail system, the Bangkok Nakhon Ratchasima Nong Khai line. The project’s overall progress rate is still at 5%.
The 3-airport High-Speed Rail Link, Thailand.
The second high-speed railway Project in Thailand, spanning 220 kilometers with 9 stations. It aims to connect the 2 airports in Bangkok from Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi to U-Tapao International Airport in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand. This is one of the key infrastructure projects in the flagship of the EEC Development Plan.
The rail link will be connected to what will eventually be the two biggest railway stations in Bangkok, Bang Sue Grand Station, and Makkasan. The train will also have a stop at Pattaya, connecting Bangkok to the popular beachside city in under 1 hour.
Construction of the high-speed railway started last October this year as the State Railway of Thailand has completed the expropriation of land for the project and the areas have been handed over to the contractor. The $7.2 billion project is set to be operational by 2026.
Jakarta to Bandung High-Speed Rail Project, Indonesia.
Indonesia’s multi-billion high-speed rail project is a 142.3-kilometers railroad network. Spanning from the Capital City of Jakarta, that will connect to the City of Bandung in West Java.
China's high-speed bullet trains for Indonesian Jakarta-Bandung HSR have a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Connecting the country’s two largest Cities, from more than 3 hours to just 40 minutes.

Everyone is proud of his own train. But only Indonesia in Southeast Asia has locally made trains, designed by local engineers, tested by local workers. If there any damage is found, will be repaired by local technicians, not necessary to bring in technicians from abroad. Furthermore, Indonesia locally made trains has been sold abroad successfully.

Your comparison is completely wrong. Currently, only Indonesia has high-speed trains in Southeast Asia, and other trains below 250km/h are not considered high-speed trains😂
this is not a comparison, 250 kph is considered as HSR
@@aseananalyticsFour fifths of the world's commercial high-speed rail mileage is in China. Although the original design operating speed was 400km/h, the actual operating speed was reduced to 350km/h for safety reasons. So the standards for high-speed railways should be based on Chinese standards, with speeds above 300km/h being high-speed railways and 200-300km/h being convenient railways. 100-200KM/H is a regular railway, and below 100KM/H are antiques. Each country chooses its own railway based on its national conditions and economic situation. For example, if Thailand uses a 350km/h railway, it is not suitable because the area and terrain of Thailand are not suitable, and the 250km/h dual use of passenger and freight is economical and affordable. Although the African continent is large, priority should be given to popularizing ordinary roads of 100-200KM/H, and compatible with convenient railways of 200-300KM/H in rail infrastructure construction to facilitate later upgrades. As for European and American countries, those developed countries are not something we should worry about. They are wealthy and can waste.
In China, a train whose speed is below 300km/h is not called a high-speed train, but a bullet train, and a train whose speed is above 300km/h is a high-speed train

New Delhi: The Minister of Railways Shri Mallikarjun inaugurated a two day international technical conference on “High Speed Rail Travel; Low Cost Solution” in New Delhi today. While addressing the conference, the Railway Minister said that India’s primary focus has been to provide a mass mode of safe, reliable and affordable transport, being the largest passenger Railway in the world, it is a natural aspiration of the people of this country that Indian Railways provide them high speed rail travel.
Shri Kharge said that most countries consider high speed capability to be in the range of 250 to 300 kmph which requires a dedicated track with fencing and can be prohibitively costly. For a country like ours track fencing also has its own set of associated issues. Thus, leveraging Rolling stock technologies may provide a lower cost solution to meet the immediate needs of achieving speeds of 160 to 200 kmph and that too on the existing track. For speeds above 200 kmph the costlier and time consuming solution of providing a separate dedicated track with fencing becomes inescapable. Therefore, the focus of this conference is to consider achieving higher speed trains in the range of 160 to 200 kmph with marginal inputs in the existing infrastructure, besides given the financial constraints and issues related to land acquisition and track fencing, as an interim step, the Railway Minister said.

Thailand depends in China when it comes to expensive project. So it means thailand is under China?
ไทยแลนด์มีเงินทุนที่จะสร้างเองได้ และข่าวดีจีนจะถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีรถไฟความเร็วสูงให้ไทยแลนด์ด้วยนะ
This project was funded with all costs by Thailand gov, not by China. China also transfers HSR technologies like track construction, and HSR systems to Thailand too.

In the world, Semi High Speed Train in India only.
@@sirisakpimchan7014It makes sense. There is no need to build new tracks. A speed of 160km/h is adequate.
Just improve the locomotive, coach and signalling.
@@sirisakpimchan7014 Big mouth Indias are really funny, actually in business operation. India's so-called 180 km/h "semi-high-speed rail" has never run to 160 km, the highest to 130 km, and most of the time only dozens of kilometers, the average speed is only 60 km/h, this is the proud "semi-high-speed rail" of Indians? Why not? That's because the old track wasn't designed to run 160 kilometers. It was a product left by the United Kingdom in the 19th century that could only run dozens of kilometers.
