Had to share airspace with the Goodyear Blimp once as a low time private pilot in the late sixties. We were ferrying display planes for a local Cessna dealership into a very crowded airshow. Talk about a nervous 18yr old...

I write everything down. Always ready to copy. There is a dead spot near the tower. Sometimes difficult to hear. Our hangar is just under the tower. I had to fly around the blimp one time. There just something about the blimp that’s cool. Always enjoy your vids. 😊

I agree completely - under pressure "facts" slip away from immediate recall. For me at least, I tend to have trouble with things I was just told. Writing them down or at least doing a memory exercise for things I expect to need is a good precaution. You are not alone at all here.
Surprised you didn't take the chance for a 15 - 20 min loop. Nice day for it.
Scott Marshall what do you mean by 20 min loop? If you mean around the blimp, that’s not possible in the pattern, but would have been awesome
@@FlyersDistrict I just meant to go for a short flight after the blimp loop. Seems like a lot of work for a good look at the blimp (but worth it).
