As someone who watched all of bleach, i didn't even know i was watching filler, and started wondering "man why this arc is so long", now for me the only 2 fillers that captivated me was "zanpakutou arc" and the "clones captains/lieutenant arc" idk the name of it 😂
'Raegai arc' or 'Gotei 13 Invasion'. Which have expreamly simular set ups, The Raegai arc is just a weaker story conceptually, but I think has greater highlights in terms of fights. I think I kinda prefer the bount and zanpakto rebellion arc overall tho
I always told people that I liked the fillers. Sure they are weirdly paced, and interrupt the main story but they had (in my opinion) some really interesting ideas behind them. And the Bounts to me are very interesting. The fact they are a new race that are basically soul sucking vampires lol, their powers are cool as well as their history. I always wondered how would they fit in the actual story if given the chance to be properly flesh out and written by Tite Kubo
To me, theres not much stopping them from working in the cannon, the bounts themselves and also the events of the bount arc to me are all plauseable and suited to the world, more so than the otehr fillers. Im currently watching the Zanpakto Rebellion arc, and i know they tried to step around it carefully, but alot of it makes no sense, like White Zangetsu not being affected by the call, yet old man zangetsu is? or Sajin's bankai turning on him but not Yammamoto's? I know at the time it came with the territory but retroactivly i think the bounts fit so well into the world, and not so much bleach movie 2,3 or stuff like the sword beast filler arc and the raegai arc.
Well, Kubo is a mid writer who is extremely bad at fleshing things out, and he changes his stories to whatever he thinks his audience wants rather than telling a coherent story... So the bounts probably wouldn't work at all if he'd written them.
@@catsabotage3362 I think he is super successful at appealing designs and making a character likeable and distinct, through little page time. I do think he is better at style than substance, but I do really think there is valuable substance in bleach if you look at the overall narrative and themes. There are certainly misteps he makes, but that's expected from a mostly, one man creative team
@catsabotage3362 Ok, first off, YOU think he's a mid writer. Second, I agree on him not being great at fleshing some things out, but he's done it lots before, so Idk he could probably do it. And third, what do you mean they wouldn't work if he wrote it? He is the creator. Him writing them in would mean they can more easily fit in just like everything else fits in
@myfredo898 Yeah, they would need to change a few things, and they probably fit in the cannon. The other fillers are a bit more complicated though. The zanpakuto arc has lots of weird stuff with the zanpakuto spirits lol. The whole white ichigo/zangetsu thing (knowing who zangetsu realy is makes the scene weird and adds questions lol), the weird genderbend of Renji's zabimaru(it could be more evidence of zabimaru lying to him maybe), Hisagi's Kazeshini just being bloodthirsty and not have any of the whole life and death themes, Yachiru being kenpachi's zanpakuto spirit means that Muramasa should know what she really is, and lots more lol
Way back then when I was watching BLEACH I remember thinking that all the filler arcs were good. And it being the first anime that not only I enjoyed but I loved all the fillers and movies.
Finally someone gets it. I like the bounts. It had interesting concepts. I just so happened to finish watching the bount arc. It's better than I remembered and happened like it in the past. Yes its flawed but they enjoyable.
@myfredo898 Since I've been watching the show in chronological order not skipping the filler. I noticed the bount arc perfectly into the next arc they even mention it.
Bount Arc is awesome. Maybe it lasts more than it should? Yes, but it has some really interesting characters and fits into the chronology perfectly. Also, awesome openings and endings. Also, Kamiya is a badass villain - stylish, powerful and not unidimensional. He's obviously not better than Aizen, but I like him much more than Mr Quincy Mustache.
@@Nameless0061 so awesome to hear your thoughts on the arc! :)) I'm glad you enjoyed Karia so much! He is really sharp, confident and stylish. I appreciate you!
Tbh my only problems with the Bount arc was that it was deceptively inserted right after the SS arc in a way to make you think it was canon, and also that the bount arc itself was dragged oncfor way too long. Besides those two gripes, I really enjoyed the Bount arc and its characters. Kariya will forever be a badass villain that I wish gotten a proper ending other than disappearing suddenly at the very end of the fight. I did love his cameo during the Arrancar arc tho
fair points for the viewers at the time, Only tricked you once I hope, lol. Yeah! I was pretty pleasantly surprised to see him back alongside, Kenny and Byakyga in Ichigo's Instinct training! Good point! i sometimes forget that. Thanks for commenting! :))
@@therealjoshuhigashikata there's so much negativity in the discussion around the bount arc, but what annoys me is the lack of detail and articulation in most of the videos about this arc. Like many just say 'forgettable characters, no animation'. (And hyperbolic statements) There's so many more aspects to an animated saga and I hope this video enriched the discussion around the Bount arc.
@@mayank6693 it was a nice and rare chance for a quiet, mundate scene to be slowly elevated from friendly arguments to frustration to a plumbing incident, a Flood and then a chase/fight sequence. It felt very natural and grounded, with plenty of room for characterisation and dread.
Great video! Really felt your passion for Bleach and the Bount arc and I think you make some great points as to why it's valuable and not as bad as people think it is!
I grew up watching this and watched it without knowing this was filler....... anime has a stigma and .shlt. like you're supposed to hate English dubbed, kind of like [always skip the filler] By the way, fantastic video 10/10
@@goran3149thank you so much :)) I love the Dub, for me it's a much smoother experience (might be partially due to my dyslexia), but also I just feel like the bleach Dub is Genuinely great. I think some anime viewers just feel it is Jaring? But because I'm not used to the Sub or watching Subbed...I can just enjoy it :) + ichigo's Hollow voice is so much cooler in dub. I do like to watch the sub sometimes, but Dub is always my Go-to.
Thank you so so much for your wishes! I am working an a few more bleach videos, but its slow progress. Hopefully ill have another big review coming out next week :)
I can't believe I found someone else who liked the bount Arc For me its my 3rd favorite arc in bleach, not filler, ARC. I've read the manga, watch ALL of bleach and caught up on the TYBW anime. I've seen all the movies except the one with the second hyorinmaru. Y'all can call me names all you want.
I really like most arcs, Bount arc is really fun, for me it tops the filler only just. The Cannon arcs are all solid, and enjoyable. I feel like the bount arc does rival the Agent of the Shimigami arc and the Soul society arc. I counldnt say how i could place my favorates, but The bount arc is among The Favorates. Im glad your also enjoy the bount arc so much :)) Yeaahhh, Bleach Movie 2 (Staring Toshiro Hitsugaia), is absouletly the weakest of the 4. Id probably rate the movies: Bleach movie 1: Memories of Nobody - 8/10 Bleach movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion - 6/10 Bleach movie 3: Fade to Black - 7.5/10 Bleach movie 4: Hell Verse - 9/10
When I first watched the bount arc, I didn’t realize it was filler. I found out about halfway through, when I noticed Rukia wasn’t using her full Shinigami powers after getting them back. I don’t love this arc but I don’t think it’s terrible either. The story was pretty good actually, but most of the new characters felt shallow, and the fights tended to drag on. If the pacing had been tighter, I’d probably have enjoyed it more. It’s also a bit disappointing to watch two whole seasons without any real payoff in the end.
Back when I first was watching Bleach I never knew this arc was filler and I enjoyed it. I didn't find out it was filler til much later and even when I went to go buy the DVD Box Sets 4 parts 1 and 2 which consisted of the bount arc I overhead people saying those box sets were trash cause they are filler and I didn't know what they meant and just bought it anyway. I havn't rewatched the Bount arc since and when I rewatched the series I actually got bored of it so I ended up skipping it. I do like how the filler gives more screen time to characters we love that don't get enough.
The #1 problem with this arc is absolutely its length. At about 46 episodes I guarantee you could edit the story down to at most 30 episodes and nothing of significant value would be lost. Could probably slap it down to ~25 if you wanted it digestible to everyone, although then you would lose a few good bits. Highlight fights for me would be Kenpachi vs. Maki, Mayrui vs. Sawatari, Rukia vs. Yoshi, Toshiro vs. Koga, and the Waterboys battle (specifically everything inside the hospital). Koga is easily the stand out character with 3 solid fights, an interesting doll, and a full backstory. Other things I like are the repeating rooms puzzle early on, Ran Tau's backstory, the quincy lore and concept behind the bangle, Izuru and Ichigo's heart to heart when carrying Keigo, and pretty much every scene with Ganju, Kukaku, and Hanataro. 7:43 I find it ironic that one of the only videos praising it apparently liked the slowest, most pointless battle in the arc. I'm pretty sure they put it in just so Byakuya would have something to do in this story. I like a lot of ideas behind the final Ichigo vs. Kariya fight, but it kind of gives me a headache for some reason. Maybe it's all the jokai crest stuff, but his defeat was cool. Bount Arc has way too many scrapped, sudden, or red herring plot points that could probably be done away with or at least cut down considerably and the jokai crest is one of them. Worth pointing out this arc includes I think Renji's first on-screen win. Although, he was kind of handed his victory on a platter. I mean his opponent literally stops using the strategy that was working to face him head on which he admitted earlier was a bad idea. In terms of narrative weight Soi Fon's win is arguably her most significant in the series.
@@maxxkent4235 they are all pretty good! Some better than others I think, but all in that good to great range! I think my favorites are bount and reigai!
I love the arc, my only gripe is that it would have been better if it cut like 15 or 25 episodes, cause a fair bit of it is dragged out, especially at the start when Ichigo and his friends play Hide and Seek for what feels like an eternity
@@Abridgimation well they could cut content, but I enjoyed the pace for the content, I think maybe only 1-2 episodes for a slightly brisker pace. The training arc at the beginning is several episodes but it's also a really unique time in bleach's anime run. I enjoy it! I do think most people would agree with you that it needed to be a bit more punchy, but I also really liked the quieter, industrial scenes in this arc, the time in the hospital, the training in the industrial area ect. Thanks for commenting and caring!
@@myfredo32 that's fair man, my attention span is far too short to really enjoy the quieter moments but I'm glad you enjoy it! I'm actually working on doing an abridge of the bount arc sometime next year, so that's gonna be fun to cover, since Project Mouthwash skipped it. Gonna try my best to do justice for Jin Kariya, Go Koga and Maki Ichinose's characters, absolutely loved them in the arc, especially Go Koga, his depth really took me by surprise on my first watch through
Ok i get some of the points but as a huge bleach fan i ve read the manga twice and loved it. Before that though, i tried watching the anime and quit midway through this arc 3 TIMES because its just so atrociously paced and painstakingly difficult to watch. Much love
@@brightside51 thanks for the love! I really like slower paced stories that are more atmospheric and 'plotting', for me, if the bount arc was any slower I'd have issues, but I think at most 1-2 episodes could be cut in terms of pacing. If the pacing isn't your thing then I can see that that is a critical factor and a major detractor. I hope you can still appreciate some of its highlights still! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really want a more complex discussion around this arc, so I like to hear this as well as the praise :)
@@brightside51 I think what's great about manga is you have more agency in the pacing, even so, bleach's pacing is pretty speedy! Which can be really exciting!

When I first watched bleach as a kid, I Dropped it after finishing Bount arc, and I didn’t really understood its themes ofc, BUT. I think the problem with bleach filler arc is actually very related to how crazily good Canon Arcs are, and when suddenly there is a dip it kills the momentum with un-contributing episodes. Having all of big 3, I’ll say Bleach filler arc on their own are Pretty Good for being from author’s Head, infact Naruto made me hate Fillers😂, It was slightly better with One Piece but first 200+ eps were Meh at best, … bleach surprised me, my personal favourite filler will be Zanpakuto rebellion, cuz it really contributes a bit in future or just helping us understand zanpakuto’s individualisms more… Personally initial half OG Naruto 😮was better adapted Untill Bleach Started to get serious midway between in substitute shinigami Arc. Personally I think bleach fillers only lacked in 2 aspect from making it a freakin Canon, 1) The Stakes 2) The Atmosphere , if they nailed these 2 somehow, Those Fillers would be Epic.
@@catsabotage3362 I think you can be a fan of the main cannon story, characters and villains and stuff, without actually LOVING the series. If you Love the series then I think you'd find the filler super worth it, dispite the flaws.
@@myfredo32 i think alot of people who hated them (at first) were the ones, like myself, who were watching bleach week to week on tv at first and having a 60+ episode filler arc drop in the middle of the main story that does nothing but confuse the hell out of you and introduce characters you might not find interesting. Can be a bit annoying to be fair, but disregarding all of the filler arcs is just not really enjoying what the studio is doing, playing with the characters more, putting them in a new situation, etc But deadass bount was too damn long if you don't enjoy it
As anime filler arcs go, you can do worse than Bleach's Bount Arc. Much, much worse... At least the Bount Arc gave us a decent cabal of villains to antagonize Ichigo and company while we awaited Lord Aizen's return...
Hahahah this is awesome.😂 Thr bount arc would be great if it was 12 episodes. Jin and ichigo work off each other great. At the time ichigo hust attained bankai and was taken over by white. So for ichigo to have a antag like jin who gained power to save his race and family and friends it parallels ichigo great and the last episode encapsulates ichigo outlook of "power gained by good intentions and can lead to unintended results" was great.. but it went way to long and was included in cannon. Which is why many disdain it. For a filler arc it's 6.5/10
I think theres way more bad-faith when it comes to filler content, people thing its something to fill time or designed to waste your time, But it should be thought of in the same way as the 'cannon' story...something which is trying to entertain you. I do Have many issues with the arrancar arc, especially the arrival arc. But overall it has such high-points in both diaglue, characters, fights and themes beyond what the bounty arc offers, But it also has more holes in the story, and is much more fractured. funny how people complain about the bounty arc being 41 episodes long when the arancar saga is 102eps long. Obviously its about content and pacing but...idk, I feel like the bounty arc has good pacing, maybe 1 or 2 episodes could have been cut but...beyond that its about Length of the story itself, not pacing. And the Arrcar saga also has equal pacing issues, if not greater. Its just 'cooler' so people can forgive or ignore it much more easily. I think the arrancar Saga is better than the bounty arc, but the saga also has a bigger and more experienced team (supposedly), reference from the manga AND 2.5x the amount of time and screen time to work with, so of course it has more highlights and cooler moments. But the bounty arc is more consistent and expands the universe beyond the manga. I think the bounty arc is better than the worst parts of the arrancar saga, but overall, the one with the most advantages ended up being better.
@@myfredo32 I mark things negatively. Everything starts with full marks and I demerit for every major failing. The Arrancar arc does so much worse with this system of marking. It makes a ridiculous amount of blunders. Not just for battle shounen but for story telling in general. The core problems are as follows: 1) Systematically beating any form of narrative tension and stakes to death. Simply put, post-Arreniero there aren't any. Nobody important on the Gotei 13's side of the conflict dies throughout the whole thing. Worse still Ichigo loses only to get up and win easily. Then worst of all they rip off the hyperbolic time chamber for a massive anti-climax at the end. 2) Botching the character development. The cast we're familiar with gets put aside for fluff fights. Which leaves us with a main cast that's broadly irrelevant and useless. Worse still Ichigo's motivation is badly handled because we literally never see these people form actual bonds. Instead we get new things and key jangling. Every chapter/episode. 3) Pacing that would make event he Bount arc blush. It takes forever and most of the content is just fluff. You could legitimately cut half the Espada out of the story without it being a big deal. To say nothing of their Fraccion. 4) Cast bloat. There are too many characters and half of them are complete nobodies unless you watch filler/ the omakes. Moreover a decent portion of them are there just for the sake of it. Accordingly the overall cast utilisation is awful. To this day the only arcs that do well on that front are Soul Society and the Substitute shinigami arcs. Although I'll admit the Regai arc is distinctly above average. 5) Sabotaging every arc after it. Due to the aforementioned failings and no one ever socialising in this series for a decent amount of time. the fullbring arc falls completely flat. Then later on the reveals in TYBW similarly fall flat. Uryu joining the Wandereich hits like a wet noodle. All in all, the arrancar arc hit Bleach with a critical blow that kicked the series below a 5/10. The arrancar arc is great ninja war levels of bad but for some reason people don't seem to realise that. You can call me a tourist or a hater or whatever but it doesn't make a difference to me. I've been through Bleach from start to finish multiple times to figure out why it's so bad and I'm satisfied with my conclusions.
The bount arc wasn't so bad I think people mainly hated because of weird cut of to the stroy building up to the arrancar saga, it was a very odd cut off indeed but poeple don't give this filler arc a chance atall, it really wasn't that bad .
at the time maybe, but if you compare the placement with the other major filler arcs, and many completely random filler eps, the bount arc is placed in a logical way. I do think a lot of original fans are more hateful of the arc as it was such a big lul to the story they wanted to see back in the day. Again, as in the video, I think simply being able to 'opt in' to the filler arc, shreds off that frustration of it existing, as you can skip it or choose to watch it exclusively. :)
Ya nah the characters are in character by the way they revealed uryu's before TYBW they for had kubo involved. Also, we never see the lieutenants intract in a normal environment or alone with the human cast. Which is why they are so different, we see the unsee sides of them in all filler. Uryu joined the quincy, so he is on point lol TYBW uryu ass plotline.
So, the first half the Bount Arc was pretty fire... but the second half was complete trash. It should have ended with Ichigo catching upto them at the gate they were using to enter the Soul Society, but then it just kept going? And when they got to the Soul Society, it slowed down to crawl. The other problem, is that it was confusing. When it came out, I was told by a friend that the Arrancar were coming, and I kept thinking the Bount were the Hollows. I loved everything about it though. I'm glad the three Mod Souls stuck around, although they kind of ditched them fully later. I don't think they even came back in TYBW, or if they did, it was very brief. The Bount themselves were very interesting, although Kariya's main ability was a bit dumb, since it broke the rules of how Bount were defined. Overall though, it was a good Arc, much better than the swords one later.
You'll notice i skipped over the 1st part of the Assult on the Soul Society, I think i enjoy revisiting the Rukongai and Kusajishi, but i do agree, its pretty poor, a disticnt lul in the story. I focused WAY more on the induvidual fights in the SS Assault, as i think alot of the atmosphere isnt there, and it just kinda plays out, while being carries by some pretty impressive fights, as well as some character momments with Koga and Ichinose, as well as SOME novelty, but otherwise...yeah the SS assault is pretty flawed, i did kinda like the controlling with the punishment squad, although it lead to some of the WORST fights in the arc. Mayuri's fight was a bit dissapointing too. But i am Really fond of Kenny vs Ichinose and That first half of Karia vs Ichigo. Yeah it can be supper annying when you expect something else, thats why i think its easier to enjoy these filler stories today, rather than back in the day. Oh interesting! that makes sense that the TTYBW would omit them, as its more condensed and a bit cut from the origional show, (ive not watched it yet)! Karia's ability i enjoyed because it was cool to see him move and fighting 'unarmed' i think bleach is kinda ruled by Zanjustsu, so its nice to see another 'unarmmed' opponnent, i did not like when his 'Messer' gives him a sword, although, i believe 'Messer' is german for knife, so it makes sense, and it seems fused to his arm, like Ichigo's Dangai evolution, so its cool and makes sense in those terms, but i dont think it fits him very well. Better than the Zanpakto Rebellion arc? im watching that RN! and the fights are impressive but i am pretty dissapointed in some of the consistancy, writing and animation so far. Thank you for commenting!
Absolutely nothing. People like him probably haven't actually watched it. Just losers repeating what they believe to be the popular opinion. @@myfredo32
I mean, the bount arc really didnt know what it wanted to do. It couldn't build hype because the stakes seemed laughable after what had just happened in the story. Just because you like something doesn't make it good. Moistcritical has a whole thing about loving bad movies. It wasn't a good arc, and that's okay.
The Bount arc is what made me stop watching Bleach originally. I didn't even know what filler was at the time. But something felt dreadfully wrong with the arc to me. The characters all felt off during it. I felt like I was suffering through it for no reason. Didn't pick the series back up until I started reading manga and realized what filler was.
@@duncang8960 that's completely fair, again, as I said in the video, I think the filler can really be frustrating and tainting if you get stuck on it unaware of its purpose. But if you choose today to opt into watching a specific arc, then I think you can get a lot of enjoyment out of it as it's what you're there to experience. There isn't this nagging feeling that this is 'a waste of time's, in terms of the main narrative, that is.
@@myfredo32 I can definitely relate to that perspective. My favourite one piece arc is filler (G8) probably just as controversial of an opinion as this. Honestly it does have some value at very least. I think it making me stop watching has just tainted my opinion of it. I might go back and see if I may appreciate it a bit more since watching this video. It was a very good analysis of the arc and you brought attention to a lot of the good that most people miss.
The Bounts don't actually offer anything of value to the setting, the plot outline was Noriyuki Abe's team remaking YuYu Hakusho's Chapter Black arc but worse, the modsoul filler characters were grating and later intruded upon canon material, and don't even get me started on that Maki Ichinose idiot and how he does NOT fit into the setting given the assumptions the head writer made about the setting and recent history. The Bount arc was what spurred Tite Kubo to take a more active role in overseeing the anime from the Arrancar arc onwards. If anything the only thing stopping it from catching more hate is most people not really knowing what went on with it or looking into why it can't fit
So, i understand why the staff had to re-evaluate, as the bount arc did slow some of the mommentum of the anime as it came out. It was a big filler that had little to do with the main story. As i said in the video, i believe that now we can retroactivly skip or opt-in to the filler it can be enoyed much more. To me, the bount arc has a unqiue atmosphere and expands on the world of the living quite alot! more industrial and night scenes, a new human clan, talk of old conflicts with SR and quincy, time piece scenes, different locations, under ground city, forgien dessert, New abilities, more creepy scenes, more germanic langustic use. It may not have used its time most fully, but it still has plenty of new ideas and content and fits in the story well to my sensabilities. If you wish to skip the filler and dont like the mod soul trio, then yes, it being in Cannon eps could be frustraiting, but to me, i Do like them, especially Noba, so thats not an issue to me, but i know it is one for many. Kubo is a busy person, I know he did some overseeing for the movies and did some character designs/sketches for the other filler arcs. But that doesnt mean the bount arc is worse than the rest, it perhapse is mroe impressive how well it did with the least amount of creative direction. To me, as interesting as the PLOT was for the Bakoto Arc, I feel the bount arc is far more enjoyable. The zanpakto rebellion i just started re-watching and its good but has a very difficult to navagate concept, and i feel like it treads simular ground to the Raegai arc. I feel like the bount arc has the most unique style and atmosphere, and those mean alot to me :) Please tell me more about Ichinose, i love him (and thank you for your comment)
@catsabotage3362 Ah yes, I remember Uryu working alongside Jin and Maki the entire arc. That was my favourite thing that never happened. The most he did to help then was open the gate to Soul Society and that was it. Outside of that, he was against the Bounts, except for Soma. Last I checked, Uryu wasn't getting groomed on by an ancient Quincy in TYBW.
I'm quite honest, and it took me faar more than an hor to make this video. I had plenty of chances to contemplate my thoughts, and these are my true thoughts. I hope you enjoyed the points I made :))

This was NUTS!! I Love the Bount arc so much
@@therealjoshuhigashikata there's so much negativity in the discussion around the bount arc, but what annoys me is the lack of detail and articulation in most of the videos about this arc.
Like many just say 'forgettable characters, no animation'. (And hyperbolic statements)
There's so many more aspects to an animated saga and I hope this video enriched the discussion around the Bount arc.
I really like the uryu hospital scene, it's one of these scene which I still remember
I grew up watching this and watched it without knowing this was filler....... anime has a stigma and .shlt. like you're supposed to hate English dubbed, kind of like [always skip the filler]
By the way, fantastic video 10/10
@@goran3149thank you so much :))
I love the Dub, for me it's a much smoother experience (might be partially due to my dyslexia), but also I just feel like the bleach Dub is Genuinely great. I think some anime viewers just feel it is Jaring? But because I'm not used to the Sub or watching Subbed...I can just enjoy it :) + ichigo's Hollow voice is so much cooler in dub.
I do like to watch the sub sometimes, but Dub is always my Go-to.
@myfredo898. It's your first anime video, and you killed it 👏 🙌 👌 10/10

Thank you so so much for your wishes! I am working an a few more bleach videos, but its slow progress. Hopefully ill have another big review coming out next week :)
I can't believe I found someone else who liked the bount Arc
For me its my 3rd favorite arc in bleach, not filler, ARC.
Im glad your also enjoy the bount arc so much :))
Yeaahhh, Bleach Movie 2 (Staring Toshiro Hitsugaia), is absouletly the weakest of the 4.
Id probably rate the movies:
Bleach movie 1: Memories of Nobody - 8/10
Bleach movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion - 6/10
Bleach movie 3: Fade to Black - 7.5/10
Bleach movie 4: Hell Verse - 9/10
When I first watched the bount arc, I didn’t realize it was filler. I found out about halfway through, when I noticed Rukia wasn’t using her full Shinigami powers after getting them back. I don’t love this arc but I don’t think it’s terrible either. The story was pretty good actually, but most of the new characters felt shallow, and the fights tended to drag on. If the pacing had been tighter, I’d probably have enjoyed it more. It’s also a bit disappointing to watch two whole seasons without any real payoff in the end.
W brother!
Bount are arc extremely overhated and the i liked the bount arc a lot
Back when I first was watching Bleach I never knew this arc was filler and I enjoyed it. I didn't find out it was filler til much later and even when I went to go buy the DVD Box Sets 4 parts 1 and 2 which consisted of the bount arc I overhead people saying those box sets were trash cause they are filler and I didn't know what they meant and just bought it anyway. I havn't rewatched the Bount arc since and when I rewatched the series I actually got bored of it so I ended up skipping it. I do like how the filler gives more screen time to characters we love that don't get enough.
same tho...like i just finished it again after like over 15 years and it still feels good.
Yeah if you love Bleach, you'll love this arc simply because you want more Bleach. It's not the best nor it's bad.
one of the stories I liked was zanpako rebellion arc and it was filler. I liked the bounts, aragami arc, and invasion arc.
Bleach had the best fillers in anime bount, amagai arc, reigai arc, and zanpakuto rebellion where so good
@@maxxkent4235 they are all pretty good!
Training against illusions when preparing to fight Aizen makes sense. This arc and its training was necessary going into the Arrancar arc.

Having all of big 3, I’ll say Bleach filler arc on their own are Pretty Good for being from author’s Head, infact Naruto made me hate Fillers😂, It was slightly better with One Piece but first 200+ eps were Meh at best, … bleach surprised me, my personal favourite filler will be Zanpakuto rebellion, cuz it really contributes a bit in future or just helping us understand zanpakuto’s individualisms more…
Personally initial half OG Naruto 😮was better adapted Untill Bleach Started to get serious midway between in substitute shinigami Arc.
Personally I think bleach fillers only lacked in 2 aspect from making it a freakin Canon, 1) The Stakes 2) The Atmosphere , if they nailed these 2 somehow, Those Fillers would be Epic.
People who hate the Bount Arc hate Bleach. Just fake fans flexing that they have the popular opinion.
Can be a bit annoying to be fair, but disregarding all of the filler arcs is just not really enjoying what the studio is doing, playing with the characters more, putting them in a new situation, etc
But deadass bount was too damn long if you don't enjoy it
As anime filler arcs go, you can do worse than Bleach's Bount Arc. Much, much worse...
At least the Bount Arc gave us a decent cabal of villains to antagonize Ichigo and company while we awaited Lord Aizen's return...
@@supremegodemperorpalpatine4872 give me an example of your least favorite, I've heard Naruto has some pretty low hanging fruit.
I like the metal ball scorpion lady and her wise cracking mouth. Lmao.... Kariya 1 vs 2 ichigo and byakuya was awesome.
@@Luis-wi2dn I love her performance and dialogue! Dolch and Utagawa have great roasts/banter. Cheers for sharing!
Hahahah this is awesome.😂
Thr bount arc would be great if it was 12 episodes.
Interesting video, do I agree with it, no. However I respect your opinion. Video was very high quality, great script, great editing.
Thank you! I respect your comment :) I'll probably make some more
You know, I find this whole argument funny.
Bleach fans will dunk on the Bount arc then glaze the Arrancar arc as if it's not even worse.
The core problems are as follows:
1) Systematically beating any form of narrative tension and stakes to death.
*Uryu"s MOM
Lmao the design and personality ia on point

It's not. It made me want to claw my eyes out, even when I didn't know it was a filler.
@@metalman4393 what's not? What offended your eyes?
Absolutely nothing. People like him probably haven't actually watched it. Just losers repeating what they believe to be the popular opinion. @@myfredo32
I mean, the bount arc really didnt know what it wanted to do. It couldn't build hype because the stakes seemed laughable after what had just happened in the story. Just because you like something doesn't make it good. Moistcritical has a whole thing about loving bad movies. It wasn't a good arc, and that's okay.
Most sane person here
The Bount arc is what made me stop watching Bleach originally.
I feel like the bount arc has the most unique style and atmosphere, and those mean alot to me :)
Please tell me more about Ichinose, i love him (and thank you for your comment)
Ever notice that Kubo stole Uryu's entire bount arc for his TYBW arc?
@catsabotage3362 Ah yes, I remember Uryu working alongside Jin and Maki the entire arc. That was my favourite thing that never happened. The most he did to help then was open the gate to Soul Society and that was it. Outside of that, he was against the Bounts, except for Soma. Last I checked, Uryu wasn't getting groomed on by an ancient Quincy in TYBW.
If you squint hard enough the first half of the Bount arc and the Fulbring arc are quite similar.
Why would you do this?
Why would you sit there and lie for an hour.
I'm quite honest, and it took me faar more than an hor to make this video. I had plenty of chances to contemplate my thoughts, and these are my true thoughts. I hope you enjoyed the points I made :))
