it's incredible how beautiful shows are getting. genuinely high budget movie level type stuff
however the CGI is not as polished as movie
the editing also still rough, u can feel theyre not there in some scenes
and the animation of the CGI feels like video games rather than actual object.
Industrial Lights and Magic couldve handle better than this
Breaking bad and better call Saul for me started the culture
The fact they went this hard with the live action cinematography and CGI is evidence how amazing the animated series is. They know it deserves quality.

@@dcsuperzam Don't confuse the VFX with the CGI. The green screen or technically the "volume" was very apparent. The CGI is better than what Netflix usually does esp for a show that requires lots of it.
Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it a bad series? No. In the same announcement of the series, they said that it was going to be a reimagining of the animated series, and that it was obviously not going to include things from the animated series. But, as a fan of the series, the love and dedication to maintaining the essence of the original series is quite evident, something that in 2010 they did not do well. And yes or yes, they will fix some problems for second season.

I didn't even realise this was released and It's only 8 episodes. Seeing as the trailers all had book 3 characters I hope they kept the main plot simple.
Resident evil just threw every character on screen, stitched together with references to the games.
@@JuicedOnKids it's only book one, they just added some scenes with Azula and showed Ozai's face earlier.

Avatar The Last Airbender was one of the shows I enjoyed watching from my childhood. And to see it again all these years later, especially as a far departure from the 2010 movie adaptation, My God! This time the jump from animation to live action was flawless!

I struggle to understand the people whining about the visuals of this show. Elemental simulations, landscapes, worldbuilding, creature designs and animation is awesome.
If I was to nitpick, the only instances where sub-par visuals were visible were rare cases when there were background projections behind the actors, when they were "flying" on Appa's back. You could really tell that the background was not real. Otherwise, visuals were stellar.

OG fan here, liking this show so far, especially the expanded dynamic between zuko iroh ozai, netflix got my blessing for season 2.

I liked it they have revealed ozai too soon and scenes with azula but its good to see that ozai vs zuko writing was good sokka played like an background artist his arc was removed in series and airo was to be super funny even in hard times but that arc was removed

Any one who says this is worse then the M night movie has no eyes or ears. Is it as good as the cartoon? No. But its a billion times better then the movie.
Well, it is very hard to make worse than M.Night, it is literally best out of worst which is not enough to be treated better let's be honest. From the one side it is not that cringe as a movie, but from the other it is boring af, silly dialogues, bad writing, original episodes mixed pretty choppy for Netflix version, which makes no sense and value, even characters look more oversimplified than cartoon. Netflix could make it far more better.
It does have problems. I find kata and saka so boreing. However I feel that the production design and costume design..... are so fucking on point.@its8032

Let me say something I love the animated series if this would have been the same in everyway i would have start skipping to the scenes i want to see. 😂😂So I appreciate the story netflix presented hopefully they will improve for season 2. I can speak for everyone when I say I'm not satisfied I need season two, and if toph is badass this would be the greatest show ever.😭😭😭

visually, this adaptation looks surprisingly decent but frankly, i don’t think it should exist. i probably won’t ever bother to watch it.
it's boring asf. I stopped watching after episode 3. Who's me to tell you don't. I'll watch the movie the last airbender over instead. The visuals is good but cgi wise everything is weak

Not much sunlight in the series, it felt like most scenes were filmed in a studio, it didn't feel natural, it had great CGI but the live action aspect like nature wasn't as satisfying as expected
Its supposed to look that way. Its a fantasy world, so a stylized one that looks like its filmed in a studio. Totally intentional.
