£35 million for Casemiro and £20 million a year wages. Works out to nearly £100 million for a 3 year contract . There is no way anyone will pay this for a player whose legs have gone. Licha i actually would get him back playing again asap ; if we want to see him in the FA Cup Final , surely need to get him somewhat match fit. We could say lets rest him and keep him back until next season but i am sure he is going to play in the Copa America ; so just as much of a chance he will get injured this summer as he would the last few matches of the season with us. I'd bring him in and gradually increase his minutes up to the final.
Ah yes, so now I get it thanks to Jim Ratcliffe. Those bar staff not serving drinks quick enough and the cleaners paid just a little above the minimum wage aren’t cleaning into the corners and this obviously undermines the morale of the first team players on £350,000 a week.
Shocking management. Ratcliffe should start the process by looking at those at top of the club (the Glazers) and working downward (and not the other way round).

All so tricky with FFP. Unsellable players with long-term deals and massive wages - what are they going to do? Bench them and wait until all of their contracts expire? No. Not many of them are going anywhere soon. They can't be sold for nothing like Sanchez and Lukaku.
Paying out ETH is how many millions - does that contribute to FFP? I think it does. Sacking him just puts us deeper into the financial quicksand. Gone are the days when they could just pay out the severance like they did with Mou for example and not bat an eyelid. Better hope ETH goes to Bayern.
And long gone are the days of bringing in world record transfers, or just getting any player we want. They don't want to come to United anyway. This club has killed careers and doesn't compete for worthy silverware. Top level players want UCL, regular starts in their national teams via visible good form, not FA cups or Europa Conference.
This will take years to fix. Ten Hag has done well to keep us in the top half. And that is all we are - what you see is what you get - best of the rest. We just have to take it on the chin. In the last 20 years, the club didn't develop with the changes in the game. Everyone else was going ahead. Academy systems, stadiums, training facilities, medical staff.......and importantly modern upper management structures required in an entity this size. Modern leadership.
We've been left in the dust and have surprisingly performed better on the pitch over that time than we probably should have.
Currently, it is not the worst playing roster around. But what I see is the most gutless in the 40+ years I've watched this team.

There are alot of players in their thirties and perform great, Casimero has been left in the midfield most of the time and you all wonder why he has faded. You all want him gone but left with the crap, I'll be gutted and so much disrespect shown towards him is unreal.

Casemiro is the one Man U player who i admit I wish we had at Newcastle. He's not done with playing, just done with playing with his present club - and at £350k a week, he's staying put.

I’m not sure how you work out your maths 70 million for Casamiro and 30 million sale expected.

The wages he’s already been paid counteracts the wages you will save over the length of his contract.
But somehow you just add the expected fee 30 and add the remaining wages in his contract and totally forget the 40 million loss on his original fee and the wages paid.

Casemiro to Saudi is best for all parties ; he's finished at the top , Saudi could and will pay a proper fee and we will not have an issue dealing with wages being covered and potential compensation. Lets hope that happens.
With sales there should be more than enough to make quite a few signings. 100-125 million base budget boosted by sales - Casemiro is the start , Jadon and Mason add a bit more , AWB should be going as well, i'd sell Lindelof and Maguire. Maguire its the last chance we can cash in on him , madness to recoup nothing on that massive fee we paid for him. Scott is another 30 million or so. Thats another more than a 100 million added to the budget. And especially in midfield and CB - we really need two signings at each position. Case, Eriksen and Amrabat all likely gone , can't lose 3 without bringing two in. And Varane , Evans , Victor and Harry could all leave , seemingly 3 out of 4 probably going , we need two CBs as well. With those leaving and current options not good enough anyway ; need 2 CMs & 2 CBs , on top of other clear positional issues we need to address.

@@richardjones8699 they want the big names and his drop-off or not Casemiro still a massive name / star. Plus they've signed a number of players on the wane. Varane might join him over there as well. Saudi really the only viable option for us , so if that doesn't happen we could be in trouble. Because his form , massive wages will not be many takers in the European market. And if he does go within Europe will be for a pittance and some type of compensation from us to the player.
Romano has also repeatedly said the Saudis want him over there , they mainly want the names to try to bring some sort of legitimacy (at least in their eyes). Its the current Russian League of years ago , or China etc. Lets hope they take him off our hands.

Either he or his agent heard or been flat out told the club is planning to move him on most likely. Case is just checked out , if Italian clubs could afford him he'd probably do alright even there in a slower defensive league. So i am sure he would be fine in Saudi.

They've signed many players on the wane and / or way overrated footballers as well. Benzema is on something like 100 million a year , reports Varane going to be offered 50 million a year. All their wages are basically ridiculous and they've bought many players who've fallen off before they went - like Koulibaly or Fabinho and many others. Saudis even paid something like 60 million and gave huge wages to that Barcelona flop Malcom who was playing in Russia at the time , Talisca was playing in China when they got him and another "didn't quite make it" player.They just want the star names and its a completely unsustainable league and project. But just like they did with other sports like golf , boxing ,trying to to do with tennis and others its seemingly a smokescreen for another plan.
Neither us can predict the future but even Romano has long reported the Saudis been and still are interested in Casemiro. We will see what happens.

Anyone who thinks McGuire, McT n Rashford are better players needs to get their heads checked. They need to go along with likes of Sancho, AWB, vDB, Casemiro among others. Selling Rashford, McT will be pure profit. If Greenwood is also sold you are looking at £100m pure profit. Olise is not a good fit since he is injury prone and there are options with wrong footed RW in squad - Garnacho, Amad, Anthony, Shea O'Lacey. It is more the vibes of fan channels who are taking decisions based on emotions rather than practicality. You need a DM, RCB, cover LB, cover LCB, cover RB, wrong footed LW who can play both wings, a starting right footed number 9 at a minimum this season. Not practical to get from top teams because of no European football but could get it from teams like Luton for Barkley, Kerkez from Bournemouth. The point is to save money from FFP profit and aim to get into European places with ETH at helm. Next season go for other positions for starters like AM, etc. Hansi Flick has limited exposure outside of Bayern n he was sacked as German national team. No point in making decisions on Manager when it means giving the likes of Rashford another chance. Mind though, Rashford is not suited for possession, quick pass, pressing style football from Hansi.

Alice it’s really simple. Get rid of the malingering players and start to rebuild the squad with youth from the Academy and less expensive players. Get as much as you can for the overpriced players you get rid off and lower your expectations. The United of Fergie is long gone and reality needs to set in. Start fresh, just look what a good manager, a fantastic front office and players wanting to play have done for Liverpool. Time to use the same formula…….
