Here we have, gentlemen, the US counterpart of Marc Veyrat (a French culinary genius specialized in the use of wild plants and one of the world's most famous Michelin-starred chef). Plain and simple, I have the feeling that the baton has now been handed over to Minnesota... kudos to you Chef Alan Bergo, for your dedication to such a worthy cause!

Oh my gosh, this is AWESOME and utterly inspiring, as well as being beautiful. What a amazing gift to have stumbled upon this video. Alan seems like a great guy--I would love to wander through the woods and just listen to him talk ("It's fun to eat anything purple!"). Clearly, he sees way more than I ever have. Thanks, REI!

Absolutely! Wild food is real food for regular people. There are so many great plants and mushrooms out there, just waiting to be understood and appreciated. I appreciate how much both Alan Bergo and Sam Thayer share about what they've learned in harvesting and eating wild food. They both have some great recipes! It's nice that a person doesn't have to be a chef to enjoy the wild food, though.

This is so fascinating! I used to be obsessed with wild herbs and their medicinal properties.

Nicely done. The seamless "multiple exposure" pan at 1:57 is very cool.

3 days, 1 million subscribers and 1694 views. Doesn't add up.

Bramha's Astra no it doesn't. If you have a million subscribers you should have way more than a thousand and a half views in 3 days. A channel with 20 000 subscribers can easily get five thou in 3 days.

Loved the video. I have been studying wild foods for some time now “but I don’t like greens”. So my path has been a challenge. So why do I do it? Maybe there’s someone else out there with the same problem. All I know is that I love being and eating in the wild. Hopefully I can grow myself a little each time learn something knew.
