A few years ago, I got into a relationship. I "fell in love", and this was "our song". We were inseparable, and we built a bond that I thought would last a lifetime because we were so close. That soon ended as we were constantly fighting, and are now split up. She's moved on, and I have as well (mostly). Yet this song still brings me back to those happy times we shared. I still remember her reaction when I said "this song reminds me of you". Just thought I'd share something somewhat relevant :)

When you love someone, you won't feel like you're giving anything away. You will be gaining the ONE person that you truly needed in your life all along. And that's something.
@@mrleal77 That's true. I have some beliefs about love that may be somewhat contradictory. On one hand, I believe in destiny and that two people can end up with each other because they're "meant to be." But I also believe in choices and free will. Our choices impact our greater path that we travel through life on, therefore those decisions ripple outward and determine who we meet and the circumstances in which we come to know them. When the circumstances are favorable, that may lead us to feel we've found the "one" person for us. There are so many reasons why that particular person may end up not being the one. That brings me to another one of my beliefs: that some people are meant to be in our lives only for a season. They may not become the one single person we end up with, but having them in our lives for a time may shape us and our life in very important ways, or may even lead us to our actual soul mate. My original comment was referring to love between two people, in general. This song can be applied to a lot of situations and that’s what makes it so masterful. I know it’s more of a love song. But for me having lost about 5 people in like 7 years I constantly think about them, and how I wish I could of done something to keep them alive and thriving. My moms passing is almost two years now. And the lyrics, “Even though I know, I don’t want to know.” It hits me to the core of my being because it doesn’t seem so long ago that I saw her smile, or heard her laugh. But now all those memories only exist in my mind and in the corners of time. I can never get used to losing anyone. It’s hard to accept.

Chris Benoit actually had a disease called CTE where NFL players have also killed themselves and endangered others. Everybody buys into the bullshit that Vince feeds them. CTE groups engulf the NFL and it will also kill the WWE (with of course other factors that will result in the company's death). The truth will come out sooner or later that CTE is something you cannot control...it controls you.
@@Shawn6751 from my understanding it had something to do with steroids, but IDK. Benoit was a good wrestler. I liked him and it broke my heart when I heard that he killed his family and himself. I really couldn't believe it. And if what you said is true and I'm not saying it ain't, just this is the first I've seen of this and wouldn't be surprised, cuz there's a lot that the media, movie and music industry hides from us, then that was bullshit for anyone to make it seem it was all his fault instead of explaining what his mental issue caused. It is terrible to make him just look like a bad guy like that if it was something he couldn't control.
@@stephaniephilbeck2275 I know where you're coming from trust me. I play football and I fell in love with it and it can make you do some crazy things to stay in it. Wrestling was probably a drug for Benoit's dopamine levels. Benoit wasn't himself that weekend. His demons took over and they did their job. He have lost friends such as Eddie that would definitely have talked him out of it and advise him to take time off to build on his relationship with Nancy. He had a brain of a Alzheimer's patient who tends to lose grip with reality in general. It was time for him to retire and coach the young talent. It was Vince's job to tell him to go see a therapist and take time off. There are Benoits out there dropping like flies. John Oliver exposed Vince for the asshole that he is. I hope AEW and Billionare Ted puts Vince out of business. He deserves for ruining people's lives to make a quick buck. I hope that they put his ass in bankruptcy and lose every dime he has. Edit: Oh you were agreeing, Vince didn't tell the world that Benoit was competing in Savannah, Georgia, for a house show (I was there) at least hours before he killed himself. It supports the theory of murder in which could have been but the forensic team fucked that case up big time. Savannah to Atlanta is also 30 minute flight as well.
This song was mine and my son’s favorite song back in 2003/2004. We went our separate ways and recently reconnected. I had to send this to him today... I’ve missed him!
Joey Becker he was murdered by his wife's ex boyfriend from wcw most likely. He's the one who put his wife and benoit in a story line in late 90s where they would be messing around.... The storyline came to life as Chris and her grew close and she left that guy for Chris. For years Chris and his wife told his in-laws they felt like they were being followed. Same year Eddie Guerrero and Chris benoit were both champions at wrestlemania they both die. That was their last wrestlemania and as you notice they both celebrated that night too end of show. I believe the ladies ex got drunk and killed Chris and his family and deemed it a suicide. No different than how Kurt was done really. Just a different scenario
Love this song. RIP Tim Hague you'll be missed in the boxing and mma world. Glad I got a chance to see ya fight and see ya in boxer heaven. We miss ya champ!!!!!
When I was growing up my Dad and I used to play this as loud as possible in oour trailblazer as he would take me to school in the mornings. Memories...❤
If Benoit were Still Alive, Think of all the Wrestlemanias that he would Have Main Evented. One of the Wrestlemanias from 24-29 could be Chris Benoit vs The Undertaker for all we Know. I Bet that Benoit would be at least a 4 or 5 time World Champion right now if he was Still Alive.
Ummm.....no.....try bret "hitman" hart as the most talented technical wrestler of all time. Benoit a little further down the line but he is an honorable mention, he trained in the hart family dungeon so he should of been with that training background....

This song brings back great memories. So glad I was able to stumble upon it again, just brings back the memories of growing up again and all the time we played this song before our hockey games.
Listening to your music for the first time tonight. Definitely listening to more! Thanks for your music.
2020, smallville brought me here.
Same. Ironically I was chatting with the woman who played Alicia on Smallville today on Instagram (Sarah Carter)
This song is good because it works for all different times. I listened to this song when I had really strong feelings for this guy, it fit perfectly. I listened to it all the time when me and him were together and here I am, relating to it once more, right after the break up. Good job Finger 11. This is Brilliant

2022! Listen to this song because of my uncle
Makes me cry now I wish things could have been different 😭😭
I love the way you put this together... Thanks
My alarm song for a long time. Lived in a cottage on our lawn when I was a teenager. Always woke up to this song in the winter. Dark, 13 degrees Celsius, this just reminds me of all those mornings. Made waking up easier.
I hadn't heard this song in years and then it came on the radio at work the other day. It really moves me. I love it.
I remember when I was about 8 or 9, my dad made me learn this song, and I hated it at first. But when I knew the lyrics, I really enjoyed it :)
RIP River Phoenix
what does this song have to do with River Phoenix? i met him during the filming of lost boys. GREAT KID!
This song reminds me of my best friend that I am deeply in love with but has a bf So I have to move on cuz its not worth risking my friendship with probably the most perfect person I have ever met ... Sorry for bitching lifes just a trip but hey its dam well worth the ride

2023 and this song came on the radio during a road trip. Cranked it up and somehow the words just came back to me like magic. Great song
i don't listen to secular radio anymore, but this song got in my head during some rough times. it is exactly how i feel
whats the point of disabling the comments? what because people keep commenting chris benoit? whats wrong with that?
Savannah to Atlanta is also 30 minute flight as well.
this song really takes my nephew back to when he was a little kid
This song always makes me stop in my tracks....and......Think.....Thank you for putting it out again, I love it!
This song was mine and my son’s favorite song back in 2003/2004. We went our separate ways and recently reconnected. I had to send this to him today... I’ve missed him!
i love this song it reminds me of my best friend and my favoire kingdom hearts pairring of soriku
I'd give it all away and live in a cardboard box just to have you back. When you died, I did too.
Laurie Gadd-Mccabe I lost my other half, too. I totally get how you feel. If I could, I would, too.
Laurie Gadd-Mccabe exactly
Laurie Gadd-Mccabe how did he die
Just a different scenario
rip dsb and to all our brothers and sisters who crossed over rip
I always thought 3 Days Grace sang this song because the chorus sounds like Adam Gontier's voice
Glad I was born in 69. This was my 20’z. Saw them with Everlast. I keep playing it again. Shine on.
Love this song.
RIP Tim Hague you'll be missed in the boxing and mma world. Glad I got a chance to see ya fight and see ya in boxer heaven. We miss ya champ!!!!!
Chris Benoit was a good wrestler one of my favorites always like him
+Joshua Davis too bad he did what he did tho :(
+Tommy Oliver I had a brother that pass away in 2008
Who?
Chris Benoit was a psychopath loser who murdered his family.
This song gives me feels.
R.I.P Chris benoit and the latino heat"eddie guerrero"
Eddie and who???
+mr california STFU
mr california ahahaha
mr california HA HA I get it
RIP Eddie.
Not Benoit 👀👎
The emotions behind these lyrics and vocals. The feelings this makes me relive is unbelievable.
When I was growing up my Dad and I used to play this as loud as possible in oour trailblazer as he would take me to school in the mornings. Memories...❤
see my lovelife down to a tee in this track unfortunately :/ makes it a rather close intense one for me lol...
***** My comment has no flaws in it. It is just a big imaginary "what if?"
Benoit didn't have any time left to offer according to what his plans were
Rip Chris Benoit the greatest technical wrestler of our time (1967-2007). You will be missed!
Kenneth
Svestka screw you
that guy was a piece of shit
Ummm.....no.....try bret "hitman" hart as the most talented technical wrestler of all time. Benoit a little further down the line but he is an honorable mention, he trained in the hart family dungeon so he should of been with that training background....
Jesus Christ. This is truly the most edgy comment I've ever read.
RIP Chris, Nancy and Daniel God bless them🙏🏻
So much to contemplate. My brother shared this song with me and it was right on time.
This song always puts me in a thoughtful mood but in a very good way. It makes me feel peaceful and hopeful. It's like a breathe of fresh air first thing in the morning when it's dewy out. I love it.
Every time I hear this I think of Chris Benoit.
letsgetricketywreckedson! I do to. I wish wwe would acknowledge him again.
me too and i tear up
RIp Chris Benoit best wrestling ever
The psycho wrestling actor who murdered his family before killing himself? What a LOSER.
@Mr. California well maybe you should stop making excuses formaybe you'd be better off just shut your mouth because nobody gives a s*** about your opinion
Rip Eddie Guerrero
The WWE Raw Chris Benoit Tribute show brought me here. what a great song!
Krispen Wah?
You must mean Steven Richards.
Hah, I remember hearing this in Chris Benoit's video tribute live in Florida, when I was a big WWE fan (it was like 11 years ago), and can't believe people are mentioning that video here. That is what brought me here, I had no clue what the song was, I just remembered the lyrics "If I", and I googled it, saw "traded it all" to finish off "if I"...lmao. Can't believe I found the damn song.
The night that the WWE died for me.
@@Shawn6751
Well in there defense they did not know what kind of monster Kris Beenwall was, when they did that tribute.
Wonderful song that encapsulates a great moment in time. Thank you for sharing.
Ah how nice, filled my childhood full of a feeling I couldn't describe. Didn't find this song until recently and now I know that feeling is somber.
