Rutschebanen POV with Brakeman - Tivoli Gardens

Ride one of the oldest operating roller coasters in the world, Rutschebanen, a 1914 scenic railway (side friction) coaster with no upstop wheels and a brakeman! This ride at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, features hills and turns through a mountain facade with views of downtown! It was designed by the L.A. Thompson Scenic Railway Company; LaMarcus Adna Thompson is often considered the father of the modern roller coaster. It's a fun ride and a historic gem!

Absolutely a bucket list coaster! It’s a unique piece of history and the way the brakemen let it run it’s still super thrilling 110 years after it first opened!
