  • I did a mixed-grill the other night. I grilled up a bunch of Italian Sausages. We made Sausage Rolls, now we make Sausage Pasta (again), but this time we use Penne pasta and split the sauce. It all makes sense if you watch the video. Enjoy!
    TIME TO PREPARE
    2 hours for sauce to come together
    10 minutes for water to boil for pasta
    10 minutes to cook pasta
    1 minute to drain pasta
    7 minutes to toast garlic bread
    INGREDIENTS FOR PASTA & SAUCE
    Penne Rigate
    Cascones Pasta Sauce
    Kirklands Tomato Sauce
    Kirklands Diced Tomatoes
    Leftover Grill Sweet Italian Sausage
    Tube Tomato Paste
    Tube Anchovy Paste
    Dried Porcini Mushrooms (grind them up)
    White Wine
    Garlic Bread
    HOW TO
    1. Take sausage and cut into small pieces
    2. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and Cascones Original Red Sauce
    3. Add some white wine
    4. Cook down, cook off liquid, let steam escape from pot
    5. Add Pasta Paste & Anchovies paste
    6. Add ground Mushrooms
    7. Check every 30/40 minutes
    8. Stir
    9. Boil your water
    10. Add pasta noodles. Cook as box instructs (10 minutes for this pasta)
    11. Dump out water (and leave me alone about using my noodle water for other things, I KNOW)
    12. Add cooked Sausage and SOME sauce to Pasta (no Olive Oil)
    13. Bake Garlic Bread
    14. Bring it all together
    15. Enjoy
